Went to look at an archive of the big graphic which had been up for a while on sli.mg ( https://i.sli.mg/gsOY2a.jpg ). If this site isn't backed up ASAP, all will be lost.

IShallNotFear ago

Is megalodon.jp a good place to back up web pages for the time being? I apologize if this is an ignorant question. I backed up a few pages there but I was just wondering if they are as vulnerable as archive.is Edit: You can back up archive.is pages there.

MolochHunter ago

drums... drums in the deep. They are coming

Birdzeyeview ago

it just goes to show, the team of Pizzagate Defectives have not yet heard about the Class Action. you'll have to try harder, dorks. ! :) or get better connections and sources.

G_Gordon_Linguini ago

Quick... do searches for cached posts and images pizzagate site:sli.mg pizzagate site:archive.is

use any other filenames and go to cached search

download to your local!!! we need a wide distributed backup of this info on our own personal machines.

SecureYourSeats ago

I found the photo still on Google images by typing in "Chilling eating a cucumber from the garden. - Oliver Friendly"

Fateswebb ago

AMAZINGLY NOW SLI.MG is down at least these links do not work....

SecureYourSeats ago

I doubt anything has actually been lost, of the thousands of subscribers and probably an equal number of silent watchers. I'd guess that at least 20% of them have screen shots of them.

chaos16 ago

As many places as you can....

Fateswebb ago

This is really getting scary how they appear to be on attack right now taking down multiple of our archive sites..

theannonymouspatriot ago

WARNING: Sli.mg appears to be compromised as well! The links posted above are down! REPOST THESE AND SPREAD LIKE WILDFIRE. There must be something in these for them to be scrubbed on Archive.is and Sli.mg in such a short time frame. REPOST AND SPREAD THESE!

eggmunkee ago

I also am getting error pages at sli.mg at this point. These links do not work at 10:10 ET Monday. EDIT: The error is for example: about:error "A connection attempt was refused. https://sli.mg/Y3pa1b"

sli.mg too See this thread https://voat.co/v/pizzagate/1570395

TOP PRIORITY INITIATIVE!

If this is important - and I think it's CRITICAL, someone has to declare it and we ALL have to do it!!

Essentially, it seems like we need to choose one method, tell everyone what it is, stop everything right now, choose an organizational strategy so we're not backing up the same stuff over and over again - but also not missing anything, and focus on going back into every single post and every single comment in every pizzagate related v/ from the very beginning (and including the deleted posts!) to make certain everything has a permanent backup.

Right now, we're all just talking about it, which is nice, but if all this gets removed by the perps all our hard work will be gone and it will be very demoralizing.

I can identify the need to do this and FAST but I can't be the one to lead this effort.

I HIGHLY encourage another/others to make this happen NOW

Alpo ago

As pointed out by Tjarco, what doesn't make sense here is why these specific pages were removed, especially when other archived pages of the same thing are still up, and the original Facebook pages are still up as well. One thing to note is that these archives were apparently automatically generated by a bot. Maybe the opposition is following this bot somehow, and ignoring other archived material?

Sui_Juris ago

It makes sense if those doing the DMCA takedowns have limited resources and can't stamp out the multiple fires starting everywhere.

They probably aren't even aware of 1/10th of the incriminating shit out there.

Smells of desperation to me. I'm pretty sure if someone wanted to they could get a lawyer to argue journalistic fair use and get access restored to the archives. That's because it doesn't look like archive.is has deleted the files, just restricted access "we have withdrawn the content of this page from public access." sounds to me like it's still there, if you can un-DMCA it.

amyrebeccajames ago

Is Slimg also compromised? Or just archive.is? Maybe someone uploaded those images to Slimg?

Alpo ago

It looks like sli.mg is ok still. Someone did upload them as png images which can be found at the bottom of this page: https://voat.co/v/pizzagate/1472300/7132799

amyrebeccajames ago

IDK why but whenever I click on those I get a message that Safari cannot connect to the server. It acts like my internet isn't working but then this page reloads fine. Someone must have taken them down. If not can you please archive and repost the images.

Alpo ago

There is something wrong with sli.mg as well now. It looks like we might be under attack. https://voat.co/v/pizzagate/1570376 https://voat.co/v/pizzagate/1570395

amyrebeccajames ago

Hmmmm well, that doesn't surprise me at all. I got a cryptic message from someone on Facebook asking me why they were getting a friend request from me when we are already friends. So, seems like the pizzagate stuff is really kicking into high gear in terms of stalking and censorship. I wonder what it's like to work at archive.is and get constant repeated requests to remove "copyrighted" material, from the attorneys of John and Tony Podesta, Hillary Clinton, James Alefantis, etc. How long will this go on before the government stops fucking around and decides to quit being psychotic assholes? Is it the entire government, or is it only like 90% of them?

atheist4thecause ago

Well, you can message archive for the pages that have been deleted if you want the information:

If you need it for research, investigation or other purposes, please, inquiry via email, or

I suggest emailing them for all of the deleted pages you know of, then put it up on other sites and keep one locally.

tehthu ago

If you post things on steemit.com, they're written into a decentralized blockchain.

Can get text saved on there forever. Git repos could be used to host image files and/or videos

Can't kill the steemit blockchain unless you stop everyone running a node from running a node.

tjarco ago

Main point: the things scrubbed here are vaguely relevant and not incriminating, why would this be scrubbed? I have never come across non working archives from stuff that IS incriminating, either we should start checking all archives (with incriminating stuff) to see if this is a trend or we should doubt the info & motives from this thread..

Alpo ago

My only motive is to draw attention, for the benefit of the community, to the fact that archive.is pages posted on this forum were deleted. They may have been deleted because the people involved did not want their names tarnished by an association with pizzagate, or it may be because they have something to hide, or there may be another unknown reason.

Womb_Raider ago

I have an 8TB external, if you guys point me in the right direction I'll store more, I'm starting now since hearing this unfortunate news.

I put too much faith in archive.

edit: thanks for the PMs, keep them coming. Nothing illegal please.

Womb_Raider ago

No way. Archive.is is compromised? I figured it was too good to be true :( has this ever happened before?

SandorClegane ago

Rare, you have to go above and beyond usually (and, uh, you guys are digging some pretty powerful chaps you know)

Also remember the guy's native language isn't english, 8chan arcs got pulled because he misunderstood complaints and requests from Jim coming in at the same time and got confused. It was only one specific board. (I'm sure you can guess which, but not the reasoning! They were involved in their own paedo-hunt, one of the Ukrainian girls got raped by US members of a "non-offending virtuous" organisation like those the MSM is promoting as being for "understanding" and "rehabilitating" paedos. Yeah, that's how fucking topsy-turvy the Trumpening turned the planet, the open "I promise I won't sex anythings I be's good massas" paedos that claim to be 'good' yet are pushing for the legalisation of 'child marriage' are the ones fucking all the kids, and the ones trying to protect them are the closeted degenerate weirdos that jerk it to the videos and run 'modeling agencies.' What a fuck'n world! Anyway, for anyone curious 4 were arrested and 2 were 'disappeared.' They turned out to be a US branch of 'Pädophile Selbsthilfe- und Emanzipationsgruppe München', one of the largest (((German))) groups and frequently raided and found being not-so-virtuous. Academics from this group defended on twitter that paedo that GG found, Sarah Nyberg)

Another instance of arcs disappearing related to Gamergate's Digra finds, as they have heavy academic pull, while attempts by those 'bloggers' to get site arcs removed over harming revenue failed. So yes, to mess with arc.is, you have to have pull from somewhere. Be it financial or political. Joe schmoe has no hope of getting it taken off unless the dude is actively threatening suicide over it. Mind not all the digra shit went down, just things each complainant could prove personal ownership of, so it's quite narrow without gov backing.

After his scrape with losing his first domain I think arc.is just got more cautious, but they still try to hold out as long as possible. So I commend the dude for doing that much, at least! o7

A little off topic for this post, but I found pertinent info on J0hn Pod3sta & wanted to see if anyone has archived his FB (friends)? Will upload research tonight/tomorrow am (@ latest). Thanks alll!

Is that even legal as last I remember, Iceland wasn't part of the United states and it says US Digital Millennium Copyright Act?

tjarco ago

This is such a weird post for various reasons

*1. Why is it labelled NSFW? There is no gore or nudity in any of these pictures, it's just babies and our creepy bias make us believe there is something, but there is nothing NSFW

*2. this same content was posted on v/pizzagatewhatever 3 days ago, mods encouraged to post here. https://voat.co/v/pizzagatewhatever/1561690

*3. three days ago I re-archived the last David Halperin link and commented that on original thread, the re-archive it's still up http://archive.is/F1fOe.

*4. first link to Tony Podesta facebook leads to a guy named Nicolas Friendly, wtf is this? Is this person related to anyone PG?

*5 second link, if you open archive and open original source it shows this picture https://i.sli.mg/BLpj31.png who is Oliver Friendly and is he related to PG?

*6 3rd link - chilling eating cucumber is actually being found when following second link - 3rd link is another David Halperin link, again who is David Halperin and why is he connected..

In conclusion this is such a weird mess of a post, I suspect disinfo or maybe (going full conspiracy here) this is to discredit archive.is - archive some personal FB pics, file claim yourself, make it look like archive.is is scrubbing) Considered the fact that all original pages are still accesible, or have been rerouted in which case I ask @Alpo are the links still showing the things you tried to archive?

Mods should not encourage this to be posted here as connections with PG are very unsubstantiated!

EDIT: the discussion between Alpo & me below clear up a lot of these questions!

newworldahead ago

*6 3rd link - chilling eating cucumber is actually being found when following second link - 3rd link is another David Halperin link, again who is David Halperin and why is he connected..

David Halperin is friend with Tony Podesta on facebook. https://www.facebook.com/podesta/friends?lst=518376845:697023661:1481232463&source_ref=pb_friends_tl#

Alpo ago

I will try to address the points you have raised.

  1. I explained why it was labelled NSFW in the post. I thought it likely that someone would post the photo of the toddler with the cucumber in the comments here, and that is not something that anyone would be likely to want to be seen looking at while at work.

  2. I originally thought to post this content in the main pizzagate section, but feared it would be deleted due to not following the strictly adhered to rules, so I posted in in /v/pizzagatewhatever. The response there, including your own response and a suggestion from a moderator, compelled me to repost it here, following the moderator's recommendations.

  3. The fact that your re-archiving of said page is still existent doesn't tell us much as of now. It may disappear today; it may remain up permanently. It's very likely that the party that had the original archive pages deleted was unaware of your re-archiving of it, or has not had time to take the appropriate legal action yet.

  4. I don't know the answer to this - I just know the archived page was deleted. I was not the person who originally posted this content. I have now placed the part that came from someone else in quotation marks.

  5. Same as above

  6. There is no question mark at the end of your sentence, and the points you are bringing up go into the area of what caused the original post (which was deleted) to be controversial. This is a big part of why I posted this in /v/pizzagatewhatever first instead of here.

Please don't blame me for following a moderator's recommendation, and for wanting the community at large to be aware of the vulnerabilities of archive.is. If this post is deemed inappropriate by the multitude of moderators here, I am willing to accept their judgement.

pepe16 ago

Smart people know that archive.is responds to DMCA requests -- that's why it's always a good idea to download any interesting archive. That's an important message and if people don't know this in general -- spread it.

tjarco ago

thanks for replying. So all the links to the original sources in the archive links DO show the content you tried to archive?

Alpo ago

You're welcome, and no hard feelings. It wasn't me who tried to archive any of this material, but I assume that the original sources in the archive links do show the archived content, though there may be alterations. It would be interesting to make a comparison, if anyone has local copies of the pages as they were at the time they were originally archived, between the current state of the pages and what they looked like then.

This is the story of all this: over a month ago, a Voat user, whom it is difficult to identify as the post is deleted, found suspicious images and comments on the Facebook accounts of Tony Podesta and friends. Another user (not me) archived some of the pages and posted the links in the comment section. The post was aggressively attacked, presumably mostly by shills, for casting suspicion on what they claimed was a "normal family". The OP was even convinced he or she had made a mistake and deleted the thread, but they later questioned this decision. Last week it occurred to me to have another look at the material, but found that the archived pages had been removed, hence my post in /v/pizzagatewhatever.

tjarco ago

what thread are you referring to?

Alpo ago

The one mentioned at the top of the page. Here is the link again: https://voat.co/v/pizzagate/1472300

tjarco ago

https://voat.co/user/zlomsocz was the OP https://voat.co/v/pizzagate/1472300/7133171 the [S] signals it's a reply by the original submitter

seeing that derram archived the pages mentioned, but they do not appear in the original thread this indeed make this case curious, where the links scrubbed from the OP? https://voat.co/v/pizzagate/1472300/7132799

this user also archived the pages - these archives still seem to work https://voat.co/v/pizzagate/1472300/7133033

this user provided screenshots showing that the links in the archives indeed link to same content https://voat.co/v/pizzagate/1472300/7135184

The tony podesta link is super weird, following derram's archive it leads to this https://www.facebook.com/podesta/friends?lst=518376845:697023661:1481232463&source_ref=pb_friends_tl#

following the archive you listed in this thread it leads to https://www.facebook.com/nicholas.friendly?lst=518376845:1149100059:1481232247#

Alpo ago

Please don't take this personally, but incorrect spelling, grammar, and punctuation can make understanding what you are trying to say difficult and confusing.

It looks like you are asking if the links posted by derram were in zlomsocz's original post. I actually don't remember - there may have been direct links to the Facebook pages, but I can't be certain.

I can't explain why some archived pages of essentially the same material are still up. I'm not part of a conspiracy.

tjarco ago

haha, i'm not taking it personally (read my bio :-) I'm not suggesting you are part of a conspiracy. Don't take this personally either, the lack of well sourced statements and explanation in your post made me suspicious. I think my previous reply sources what you mention in the OP. Since having dug through the Voat you linked to and saw that the archives provided by Derram, which is automated based on content of OP are the ones being scrubbed, combined with the fact that the actual links in the OP have been scrubbed (because derram never archives links that are not present within a post, so if derram archived this it means these links should have been present within the OP) makes this post all the more important and relevant.

Because your original post on v/pizzagatewhatever didn't explain the links between the people visible within the facebook it seemed like a false flag. Especially considering that the content being scrubbed isn't really incriminating and is still accesible through the links that can be found on the archived pages

Why would they not delete the original source if they tried deleting the archives? that's not a direct question to you, it's just me wondering

All with all, this is a very suspicious case and glad you engaged in discussion so I could get the actual story you were sharing...Luckily the original thread provided plenty of alternative archives!!!

Alpo ago

I think the points you have raised have some significant implications. It seems unlikely that the owners of the Facebook accounts had the archive pages removed themselves, otherwise why would they leave them up on Facebook? Voat is obviously being monitored by whatever entity is doing the coverup and paying the shills. Maybe they had the archive pages removed, and alerted Tony Podesta and his friends, who just didn't care about who saw their Facebook pictures, or thought it would look more suspicious if they removed them. Perhaps the automated archives by derram are being solely monitored, or are being monitored more carefully than everything else.

tjarco ago

interesting line of thoughts. This goes into tracing active shills or research attackers. I'm wondering if any techy researchers could find deletion logs or find out who made the complaint to archive.is.Why would the cover-uppers make such effort but obviously failed to succeed seeing there are plenty of alternative archives. We should definitely be on the lookout for more archives being scrubbed like this.

Alpo ago

Thanks for this reply - I understand your point of view more clearly now. I might have been a bit lazy in how I presented the information in my post, and perhaps wrongly assumed that most people would remember the subject, but not everyone here has been here that long. I agree that it is strange that the original content on Facebook is still up. We don't know exactly who had the archive pages deleted or why - perhaps it was the work of a third party.

tjarco ago

Well since we cleared things up I am going to add this to the timeline of PG related censorship https://voat.co/v/pizzagate/1482030#submissionTop

Paranoidsbible ago

DMC'd. It's actually one of the most easily abused things anyone can do if the system is automated. If not, it's just simple bluffing and spoofing of an image or form. You can actually flood DMC claims on Youtube and force a lot of videos to be removed.

l23r ago

With Youtube it is extra bullshity because with 3 DMC claims, even if they are fake, you can have your account blocked. Shit almost happened with The Bible Reloaded.

Insubordinate ago

The fact that these archived pages are being deleted only reinforces the notion that something is being covered up.

PresudentMcCheese ago

No. These events also fit if a bunch of overzealous morons have accused innocent people of terrible crimes.

BB-3 ago

Then why delete the archives?

Blacksmith21 ago

Keep in mind, all it takes is one lawyer, from a powerful firm, to end a cease and desist to whomever runs Archive.is and the post is disappeared. No matter who they are, it isn't worth a legal battle to them. Regardless of the location. I've been screaming about getting a mirrored site for some time.

Birdzeyeview ago

Archive, Reddit, Voat, Twitter, Youtube, Vidme.... and the rest.

They are just getting started, and simply doing the only prudent thing, in the face of a very large looming Class Action. translation for you PG simpletons: If they want to keep publishing / hosting your defamatory BS they will all lose their shirts; evidently they do NOT want to lose their shirts.

Another tip; certain individuals (cough cough, ahem) are being enjoined, even as we speak.

Have a nice day y'all.

alliecapone ago

I guess if there's any encouragement from these things happening is...why would they BE down unless there's something we've found. I had backed the zips from some I'd archived, with the new computer I didn't have any "borrowed" winzip or anything so they sat, but none of those zips are there.

If anyone finds a place we can safely dump our zips we saved (I hope to fuck that's what we were supposed to sav'e) I have a dinodell that I don't mind using...if it dies, it dies, so long as Ive saved the backup anyway

In_Cog_Nito ago

I've mentioned a couple of times already, when archiving a page on Archive.is, download the zip file it creates to keep a local copy.

throwawaa ago

Anyone know what to do with the downloaded zip file? Is there another site that will rehost it in an easy to use way?

throwawaa ago

EDIT: the curl command in this script doesn't seem to download the right thing. Still figuring it out.

Here's a simple bash script for downloading zips of all the archive.is files in a given text document. I'm using this to keep a local copy of all the archive.is zips in my local research doc, but one could easily make a script that will scan the voat threads and download the zips in them as well.

function download_archive_zips() {
echo "downloading archive.is zips found in $1"
string=`cat $1`
pattern="http://archive.is/[a-zA-Z]{5}”
for word in $string
do
    [[ $word =~ $pattern ]]
    if [[ ${BASH_REMATCH[0]} ]]
    then
        match="${match:+match }${BASH_REMATCH[0]}"
       symbol=`echo "$match" | sed 's/.*\///'`
       sleep 1
       curl -o ~/$symbol.zip "http://archive.is/download/${symbol}.zip"
    fi
done
}

T2VQw2 ago

just to play devil's advocate you could be easily accused of modifying the data after it was saved. I think the Internet Archive seems ok

In_Cog_Nito ago

As long as the page is not saved to a site that is considered credible, then it is all suspect. Unfortunately, we don't seem to have even suspect versions of the page, so we have nothing. As for archive.org, they remove items far more often than archive.is, and with far less than a DMCA notice.

YingYangMom ago

I saw your comment too late. Someone download the zip and post it?

In_Cog_Nito ago

I tried to download the zip for one of the deleted pages, but all I got was a "gone" message.

https://archive.is/download/RySHI.zip

YingYangMom ago

Oh, the single links still work though, right? Mine still do.

In_Cog_Nito ago

What links still work? The point of this thread is that some pages archived on archive.is are no longer available. None in the OP are working for me. In the case of deleted archives, even the zip file is removed from archive.is.

tjarco ago

if archive.is is compromised wouldn't downloading stuff from this site be the dumbest thing to do?

Not a techy here but you can also directly save webpages right? (right click/save as)

In_Cog_Nito ago

The site isn't compromised as far as saving pages, we just can't trust they won't delete the archive anymore.

voatsucksreally ago

This is another reason why I built citizeninvestigators.org. Evidence is being censored everywhere, and we have already lost so much information in the last couple of months. The site archives information and images/videos/screenshots people post by tags so that anyone can go back and find information related to any topic that's been discussed quickly and easily. Check it out if you haven't seen it yet.

fogdryer ago

Something is wrong with that search box. I can't even find my own posting using tags !

vector3rector ago

Wow. They even scrubbed the cache from every prior domain., If people dont believe there is a cover up., Than people need to realize the magnitude of efforts, "higher ups" are going through, to scrub info off the internet.

Inversely, we know "they", ( 'higher ups' ) reading this, need to realize the magnitude and number of people "hard-copy" archiving. Which will just go further to prove, they are blatantly trying to cover things up.

We are literally creating a new form of "block chain Investigations".

Think., As corruption is becoming more prevalent., And income inequality widens., As internet access and technology availability widens., More people will be left out without a job, and be left to explore the internet. Among the large population of displaced individuals, many will collaborate and aggregate data and proceed with a new style of forensic-digital, criminal investigations --- to combat corruption and collusion.

When I make an archive, or if I find an archive interesting, I always save the file. Someone must have saved the files -- please post. Put them on mega.nz.

Paranoidsbible ago

  1. CTRL + S on the page you wish to archive to create a local copy
  2. Use Archive.is to make a backup and save the .zip
  3. Take a screen-cap of the page itself and save it not only on your rig but also upload it to multiple sources.
  4. Be prepared to argue validity due to how easily edited pages and images are nowadays.

upvoat this comment!

PaisaHunter ago

I tried looking on Archive.org and the pages were archived, but now the images are not available. Very suspicious.

YingYangMom ago

Maybe because I was in the process of archiving them?

Paranoidsbible ago

Actually not that suspicious. archive.org/Internet time machine allows individuals to have their profiles/accounts exempt from being archived through the use of simple comments (on the profile/account) or through a screen-cap of being logged into the account/profile. This can all be done through sending an e-mail to the address given by archive.org. Once you e-mail them with the proper evidence, they'll remove your archives and prevent the specific accounts/profiles from being archived.

On top of all of that, you can simply edit your robots.txt/RES to limit or deny the scraper/bot that archive.org uses. However archive.is needs to be blocked by the IP, which has changed a few times. Basically you'll need to make several backups on not only your rig but also through several services/websites.

newworldahead ago

My blood is boiling

tbh_gtk ago

This is yet another strong reminder that we should both download and archive items of interest. We need to create as many copies as possible.

We could also upload them to Craigslist pages that we create, even if under some other kind of title. On Craigslist they will float in cyberspace for 45 days.

But download to your own hard drive is the key.

Agora1234 ago

Does anyone have copies of what was deleted?? I've never seen them

tjarco ago

if you follow the original source links from the archive sites, everything is still there... i guess? https://voat.co/v/pizzagate/1569388/7648766

Womb_Raider ago

Seconded. We need to blast specifically what they censor so everyone can get copies and propagate them.

BarryOSeven ago

The same is to say for Voat

This needs to be backed up on a regular basis on multiple locations.

l23r ago

I agree.

but to the credit of the Voat admin, they did change the location of servers to increase ability for free speech. If they felt the need to delete something due to legal bullshit, I would hope they would copy it beforehand and find a way to disseminate the copy (via alternate accounts, telling the admin of the communities it was deleted from, etc.)

S3m8o3 ago

You gotta be kidding...

'In response to a complaint we received under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act we have withdrawn the content of this page from public access. If you need it for research, investigation or other purposes, please, inquiry via email, or.. '

Fuck them too! Where do we go and what do we do now?

Edit : this needs to get more attention!

Fateswebb ago

So what if we email them and ask for the pages for an investigation? It says to do that lol...

AgainstTheNWO ago

This is a empty statment. They can place that always if they do not give more information. Who filed the complaint, what were the points in the complaint and on basis from with point is decided to censor a already to public domain accessible piece of data?

I save pages on my hard drive, can place it in different folders so i can find it quick back when needed.

lawexaminer ago

The only fail-safe solution is mirrored backups like I mentioned earlier. Wikileaks employs this method because they know it's the only practical way to safeguard data. http://wikileaks.openanthropology.org/Mirrors.html

We need to archive on Tor. Our pages won't be subject to this kind of stuff.

kplusk ago

Dbl ditto...& which Tor do you recommend (safest/best)?

NotAnIdiot ago

Don't really have a recommendation. I don't use Tor for archiving pages (although I will be). I just know archived pages there exist and won't be taken down due to some BS copyright claims.

tbh_gtk ago

ditto. Show us how.

If you write a tutorial, I'll be the first one to use it.

Seconded

Just a fair warning, the moment the guys start using tor is when (((they))) have even more ammunition to shut you down or even throw you in jail. I can see the headlines now "pizzagate group 'investigating' child porn on the deep web, sentenced to 30 years"

Fateswebb ago

Tor isn't illegal, and really it's very protected by free speech. its the stuff people use it for that's illegal... but we would be using it for a legal purpose of course so...

Havengul ago

Yes but I'm saying it's got negative connotations and the average fakenews reader probably DOES think it's an illegal childporn Internet thing.

Fateswebb ago

I think the average person has no idea what tor is, but they like to use phrases like "dark web" which I agree sounds scary and shady. And yes makes it sound illegal or something.

Havengul ago

Which is the problem.

eyeVoated ago

There's nothing fair about this situation. My contributions are too deep to be tracked. I don't even know my own passwords.

S3m8o3 ago

Plus we don't want to dissappear. Our enemy will find us but they public (we need) won't.

Havengul ago

Very true.

ArthurEdens ago

We just broadcast what these guys should cover up. I'm hoping a diligent guy is backing all this stuff up locally.

lawexaminer ago

The investigation needs to employ a mirrored backup system (similar to the backup system wikileaks uses) http://wikileaks.openanthropology.org/Mirrors.html

One day, all of archive.is may go dark.

If anyone has hard disk space they can contribute, they can install Seafile free syncing software and allow others to mirror the repository: http://seafile.com

You're right, it's important to know.

Is there a similar site located in Russia (assuming they wouldn't give a shit about a US Digital Millennium Copyright Act complaint)?
