Psyops?

Yeah, ShareBlue has been caught here before, and I think some "users" still post content from that website. JIDF is also likely here.

Without a doubt I've seen some as well. I'm curious as to how organized they were. Front page has been shit on for a while and I can't imagine scripted farming ccp to be too difficult. I often question the amount of users to accounts. Do we have data on any of the raw number of user/account info available?

I commented in one of Putt's recent beta testing threads that it would solve a lot of problems if there was a way to show the number and usernames of alts being operated from the same source, maybe on users' profile pages where is shows the subs they own. Increased transparency does decrease privacy, though. That's the drawback.

One thing I noticed doing this research is the use of almost identical talking points by multiple seemingly unrelated accounts. Things like "mods are pedophiles" or "we should all leave" or "nothing you're doing will ever help; you have to organize public protests" or "we need to have a Discord chat because XXXX". They come in waves, almost like there is an organized effort to push a particular theme for a particular period.

Another thing I noticed is that several of the alts I researched in the OP all make or made a majority of their submissions to v/music, or to their own subverses no one else subscribes to.

Sounds like the bots are meant to upvoat themselves to push the ccp. It won't stop us. It it is more of an annoyance than anything. Any system that derives from multiple user votes can be manipulated though.
