Secondly, if you had paid any attention to what was going on, or even read the temporary sticky Putt made, you would know that the CCP gained here does absolutely nothing for anyone, anywhere.

I upvoted you. CCP = comment contribution points, SCP = submission contribution points. Just realize voting in this sub only counts for this sub, which is all you probably care about, but you won't earn CCP/SCP in this sub.
The reason for the vitriol you see here is basically this:
If this sub did not have custom CCP rules, you would still need 10 CCP to post and 100 CCP to downvote. The 10 is not the issue. The 100 is. I'm not sure what the down voting rule in this sub is - it appears to me that you can't down vote, or at least down votes don't count against CCP. I think that's what pisses them off. I just notice that ALL of my down votes (and -CCP) have come from the other "open" sub. I had 15 or 16 CCP after a day there, then when I started asking questions and suggesting that maybe we could all get along, got down voted and kept down - now I can't post anywhere.
Since you are new, you will be waiting a very long time to see that 100. You would be subject the mob censoring you by virtue of down voting you. Every down vote decreases your CCP.
So if the veteran users, with hundreds of CCP don't like you, for whatever reason, you'll never be able to down vote and quite possibly ever make a post... unless they approve. They call this "free speech" lol.
By making custom rules for this sub, the users here are protected from the mob censorship of veteran users. Down voting does not effect CCP. They don't like that. Odd, since they say they hate censorship.
When I first came to Voat, I thought the voting system was for popularity, not censorship by the mob. This voting system sucks. But it is what it is so we live with it and go on.
I had the same experience on a much smaller scale - I can't make posts now, since evidently I pissed off some old goats. No big deal, I'll just lurk and comment as I see fit.
My advice, if you want to make new posts, go over to v/greatawakening and start commenting - be sensible, don't rock the boat, you'll be upvoted past 10 CCP in a day or 2.
The problem I had was going up against the nay sayers here - they didn't like the challenge so down I went. You'll probably be ok if you just stick to Q posting and don't respond to their trolling - which is the mistake I made.
Oh and the Block button is nice - click on the user name you don't like, hit the Block button. Done.
You will need to explore before you can post, because this sub was set to private and no amount of upvoat will get you anywhere. They don't count in voat world. v/introductions is the greeting area, v/GreatAwakening is the already existing sub, there's also v/pizzagate and v/pizzagatewhatever.
All CCP (Comment Contribution Points) earned in this sub are null and void due to the restrictive settings your moderators have placed on this subverse. You can read about this in further detail here. Why your mods made such a decision is up for you to decide. To actually gain CCP, you must venture outside of this sub and make comments on other posts. I highly suggest making comments that actually engage in the post you're commenting on, instead of just begging for upvoats.
