I think they were compromised from the beginning. When you are blind to the events and the subjects under discussion are Anon. , it's difficult to know what's going on. But there are a branch of Intel and were so before the "change in the ownership of the brand" when Assange went missing.

If there was proof, even half-assed, faked proof, we would have seen it by now.. I'm not sure what prefecture 333 means, but "Year Zero - The Silent Death of Cambodia" was a documentary about 1979-1980 in Cambodia when the 'Khmer Rouge' government collapsed. It was a collapse then reset of everything including monetary system and government institutions. Could this be what Wikileaks is referring to? It was produced by (JAssange's best lad and pulitzer prize winner) John Pilger who interviewed him on RT. It just so happens that my mom was sole survivor of her family during that ordeal. I think the idea is that in case the internet gets shut down, they can get the file to as many people as possible, and will only have to provide a passphrase, which is much easier to spread than a large file. Now the file is out, and many people have it.

Of course, that is the point of hashing, to have a way to verify its still the original, down to the bit level. You generate a unique signature for that data and publish it along with the data so others can verify the data hasn't been corrupted/tampered.

It is a torrent for convenience of distribution, so encrypting it could be their way of insuring that it isn't read before it has a chance to spread and many people will have it already downloaded if and when they release the key.They have announced other releases prior to releasing to generate "buzz".

(Washington DC) – Judicial Watch today announced a hearing will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2017, regarding Judicial Watch’s Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit seeking former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s emails that were sent or received during her tenure from February 2009 to January 31, 2013, as well as all emails by other State Department employees to Clinton regarding her non-‘state.gov’ email address (Judicial Watch, Inc. v. U.S. Department of State (No. 1:15-cv-00687)). The case is before Judge James E. Boasberg.
Items of discussion at the hearing will be the emails of Clinton aide Huma Abedin that were found on the laptop of Anthony Weiner, Abedin’s estranged husband. Judicial Watch also will be seeking answers as to the timing of the release of Clinton’s emails that were recovered by the FBI in its investigation of the server used by Clinton and others.
The State Department has previously been ordered to produce documents to Judicial Watch, and is currently processing 500 pages per month from disk one of seven available disks. At the upcoming hearing, the State Department must address the number of documents subject to FOIA on the remaining disks.
