Has WikiLeaks already 'mined' all the best stories?
No. WikiLeaks has intentionally not written up hundreds of impactful stories to encourage others to find them and so create expertise in the area for subsequent parts in the series. They're there. Look. Those who demonstrate journalistic excellence may be considered for early access to future parts.
On one hand I can appreciate that this practice or notion of sharing the responsibility with other tenacious and skilled individuals is how a true resistance to TPTB could be established but surely this hesitation to release findings has also cost lives and is endangering others?
No one has had time to go through it all so it's too early to judge what is there.
Sounds as though you are discouraging people from looking. ; claiming ahead of time that there is nothing there.
Truth be told they wouldn't be blantantly shutting it down all over Facebook if there was nothing there; as I interpret it.

You have to snoop around, but we found out a lot of this stuff. Check out T_D or /Pol
