The echo of the room for both Hannity and Assange was the same. At a moment there in the video byte, they both spoke at once and the sounds their echos made seemed like it was in the same room.
I think it would take some pretty fancy planning and some really good audio work, not to mention expensive coordination, (a trained double) and some CG work that would really make this impossible to pull off if the two were to talk about very recent current events.
I'm pretty sure Assange is alive. I had my doubts earlier, but now I think he's got some explaining to do for his insurance file checksums not matching up. I heard that was a real concern.

A green screen could put them in the same room thus being in the same frame isn't definitive. I'd like more verification with additional unaffiliated video sources. Would love to see JA invite some truly independent journalists/investigators/citizens inside the embassy to interview him at the same time. This way it could be verified without exposing himself to being in public.

Being in the same shot would be orders of magnitude easier to fake than this. It's still a completely controlled set staged by one partisan corporation.
Appearing and speaking on the balcony in front of hundreds of strangers with smartphones /cameras on the other hand - like he did multiple times before mid October and signing a publication with the WL - PGP key would be different, this would at least be plausible proof of life. This is a muppet show, nothing else.

Wikileaks has never leaked false information before. The best way to discredit wikileaks is by proving a future leak false.
The best way to do that would be to give the false impression that Assange is alive, and that wikileaks is NOT compromised, and then leak false info.
Again I'm hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst. Keep in mind these are the most powerful people in the world who he threatens, and they will do whatever is necessary to keep him quiet or smear his image.

And I guess the reason why they would do it is because assange isn't going to randomly come out and say he supports Obama.
So, they have to make assange say something realistic, so the people don't question whether he is alive or not, and stop looking into it.
