What the fuck are you talking about not being able to trust me fuck face, I've never even had any interactions with you. Trust me, fuck you. I had to go through your threads to see who the fuck you are and all I see is a bunch of index gobblygook from a spastic autist. At least I can write a coherent thread. Who the fuck do you think you are opening to another member like that? What a twerp.

Note before continuing: Stuart Pivar & Jeff Koons both starred in a 2002 documentary for the 15th anniversary of the death of Andy Warhol.

What puts Jeff Koons & Andy Warhol in the same frame(no pun intended), is the endorsements received from The Standard Hotels;

For the last two years we've doing a lot of looking and watching and waiting with great excitement for the Renzo Piano-designed Whitney Museum of American Art to open in The Standard, High Line's backyard. Now it's here, and you can actually see into the galleries from our Hudson-facing guest rooms.~

~The opening of the new Whitney marks an important moment, both as the anchor to the High Line and as an iconic cultural landmark returning to its downtown roots.

We had the privilege of sitting down with Chief Curator Donna De Salvo to discuss the institution's new home, its debut show, “America Is Hard to See”, and the simple pleasure of looking.~

~Do you hope people will come away with a new perspective on American art after seeing the show?

I hope so. The show is divided into 24 chapters and each one takes on a certain idea that is drawn from the collection. It’s a history as told through this collection. There’s no one history, there are multiple histories. But that said, there are also icons that we look on as markers in the history of American art, whether it’s Hopper, or Mark Rothko, or Warhol, or Alice Neel or Stuart Davis, or Jeff Koons.

In the following article from The Standard Hotels we see mention and an example of Jeff Koons' Popeye series;

[72. standardhotels.com - "First and Foremost, You Have to Look": https://archive.is/M0nfm]:

Love him or hate him, it’s impossible to deny the sway Jeff Koons has held over the art world for going on three decades. With his Whitney retrospective opening this week and all his Koonsian periods on view – from the iconic balloon animals and vitrine-sealed vacuum cleaners to his more recent forays into industrial-grade cartoon paintings and hanging trains – maybe we can all make up our minds once and for all.~

~When the Koons show comes down, so will the Whitney (we'll miss you Marcel Breuer windows), taking up its new digs just a block from The Standard, High Line. Designed by Renzo Piano and situated between the High Line and the Hudson River, the new address will offer up much-needed exhibition space as well as locate the world's premier American art collection 90 seconds from our front door. All we can say is ...

We're very excited ...~

We can look to the wikipedia entry for Jeff Koons, to learn more about his "Popeye" and "Hulk Elvis"* series';

* Particularly noteworthy also, is the fact that Scientology has hounded the Presely family for decades, trying to get its fingers into their money/assets.

What is also known about Jeff Koons, which is no coincidence at all by this point, is that he has been a major donor to Correct the Record;

[74. wiki - "Correct the Record": https://archive.is/NIshN]:

Correct the Record was a Carey Committee founded by David Brock. It supported Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign. The committee aimed to find and confront social media users who posted unflattering messages about Clinton and paid anonymous tipsters for unflattering scoops about Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump, including audio and video recordings and internal documents.

History

The organization was created in May 2015 when it spun off from American Bridge 21st Century, another Democratic Super PAC. It coordinated with Clinton's 2016 U.S. presidential campaign via a loophole in campaign finance law that it says permits coordination with digital campaigns.[1][2]

Jeff Koons' activities & connections become even more interesting when digging a bit more into the 2016 election;

[76. artsy.net - "Art collector Victor Pinchuk has been ensnared in the U.S. Special Counsel’s Russia investigation by a $150,000 payment to the Trump Foundation.": https://archive.is/q2RDN#selection-847.2-847.146]:

Don't flip out, keep reading... Emphasis added by me.

Three sources told the New York Times that special counsel Robert S. Mueller III is investigating a $150,000 donation that Pinchuk, a Ukrainian steel magnate, gave to the Donald J. Trump Foundation in September 2015. The probe comes amid a broader investigation into foreign money going to then-candidate Trump in the years leading up to the 2016 presidential election. The payment was solicited by Michael D. Cohen, the president’s personal attorney, and was given in exchange for a 20-minute appearance, via video, that Trump made at a conference in Kiev.

The Mueller investigation has primarily focused on connections between the campaign and Russia, but the money from Ukraine is significant because, as a former IRS officer Marcus S. Owens told the Times, “it comes during a campaign and is from a foreigner and looks like an effort to buy influence.” He also argued that $150,000 was “an unusual amount of money for such a short speech.”

The Victor Pinchuk Foundation said in a statement that it reached out to Trump to foster “enduring ties between Ukraine and the West” and that, in 2016, “it was by no means assured that Mr. Trump would be the Republican nominee.” Pinchuk is also one of Ukraine’s biggest art collectors, known for displaying large-scale work by Jeff Koons and Damien Hirst in his garden. In 2006, his foundation opened the Pinchuk Art Centre in Kiev, and in 2009 launched the Future Generation Art Prize, which is awarded biannually to artists under 35. (The total winnings are $100,000.)

Here is a source on the ties between Victor Pinchuk & Jeff Koons. Coincidence that Koons' "Popeye" and "Hulk Elvis" works are on display at the Pinchuk Art Center? I think not;

~Jeff Koons takes a key role in the exhibition with a comprehensive presentation of works from the last twenty years. Spread over three different floors of the PAC building, they form the backbone of the exhibition. A total of ten key works, six sculptures and four paintings from the series Made in Heaven, Celebration, Popeye, Hulk Elvis are on display. Highlights of this selection are the early icon Rabbit, the sculptures Cracked Egg and Blue Diamond from the Celebration series and the world premiere of the first version of Balloon Rabbit, an astonishing new creation, surely becoming an icon like his key early work. Koons’ contribution thus acts like a mini-retrospective on the theme that forms the core of his whole oeuvre, namely, the ambivalent relationship between sexuality and transcendence.

It gets better, as following up on the NYT article reveals that Pinchuk has also donated significantly more to Hillary Clinton and/or her family foundation, since 2006;

[78. nytimes.com - "Mueller Investigating Ukrainian’s $150,000 Payment for a Trump Appearance": https://archive.is/3bIBB#selection-1839.0-1839.511]:

Mr. Pinchuk is the son-in-law of a former president of Ukraine, Leonid Kuchma, who from 1994 to 2005 led a government criticized for corruption, nepotism and the murder of dissident journalists. Mr. Pinchuk, who has been accused by steel makers in the United States of illegally dumping steel on the American market at artificially low prices, drew more scrutiny during the campaign for his ties to Hillary Clinton and her family foundation. He has donated more than $13 million to that organization since 2006.

Note: The above article, when mentioning Michael Cohen, links to another nytimes article which reveals that Cohen's office(which was raided ~2 days after the Trump Tower fire that claimed Todd Brassner's life) is located in the Rockefeller Center.

Furthermore, when looking at the wiki entry for Victor Pinchuk, it is learned that he has donated from $10 to $25 million to the Clinton Foundation between 1994 & 2005; since 1994, he has donated $23 to $38 million to the Clinton Foundation;

[64. wiki - "Sinbad the Sailor": https://archive.is/4C3Wm]:

Sinbad (or Sindbad) /ˈsɪnbæd/ the Sailor (Arabic: السندباد البحري‎, translit. as-Sindibādu al-Baḥriyy) is a fictional mariner and the hero of a story-cycle of Middle Eastern origin. He is described as hailing from Baghdad during the early Abbasid Caliphate (8th and 9th centuries CE). In the course of seven voyages throughout the seas east of Africa and south of Asia, he has fantastic adventures in magical realms, encountering monsters and witnessing supernatural phenomena.

Sinbad in popular culture

Sinbad's quasi-iconic status in Western culture has led to his name being recycled (as are virtually all names) for a wide range of uses in both serious and not-so-serious contexts, frequently with only a tenuous connection to the original tales.

Films, TV, animation

Many films, television series, animated cartoons, novels, and video games have been made, featuring Sinbad not as a merchant who happens to stumble into adventures, but as a dashing dare-devil adventure-seeker.

  • ~Popeye the Sailor Meets Sindbad the Sailor (1936)~
  • Sinbad: Beyond the Veil of Mists (2000)~

We'll do the flashbacks in reverse order for the selected films above;

Our first port of call(no pun intended) is Sinbad: Beyond the Veil of Mists, which first came onto my radar when looking closer at Robert Allen Mukes while analyzing Rob Zombie's movies for 'hidden' clues.

[65. Root of Corruption - Annex: Vindicating Rob Zombie(et al) and Kate Beckinsale...]

The reason this is significant is because Sinbad: Beyond the Veil of Mists was purchased by Trimark Pictures for television distribution. Trimark Pictures is owned by Mark Amin and was merged with Lions Gate Entertainment in 2000, making Mark Amin the single largest shareholder.[65]

What is not discussed in the above RoC entry, is that Lions Gate is also the current distributor, as of 2012 after its acquisition of Summit Entertainment, for the Twilight films, based on the vampire novels authored by Stephenie Meyer.

Also not discussed in the above RoC entry, is that Lions Gate acquired Artisan Entertainment from Bain Capital in 2003. Lions Gate also, in 2016, acquired the parent company for Anchor Bay Entertainment; Starz Inc. - Starz Inc. had dealings with The Weinstein Company in 2011 and 2015. As of 2015, Anchor Bay Entertainment has retained release rights for films from The Weinstein Company & Dimension Films; Lions Gate, through Anchor Bay Entertainment, now distributes some titles from the libraries of The Weinstein Company and Dimension Films; Mark Amin's & Harvey Weinstein's influence, assets & money are intertwined.

Things get far more interesting, though, when we take into account that Popeye and Sinbad have shared 'the big screen'...

Why? Because Popeye takes us back to Andy Warhol, Harvey Weinstein and Bruce Berman, via Jeff Koons, Stuart Pivar, Todd Brassner(including his death) and Robin Williams(including his death).

[66. Root of Corruption - Q 4: Alice & Wonderland: Blood + Oyl + Money + Anderson?]:

Popeye: Thimble Theatre and Popeye comic strips

~the strip featured the Sea Hag, a terrible pirate, as well as the last witch on earth (her even more terrible sister excepted); Alice the Goon, a monstrous creature who entered the strip as the Sea Hag's henchwoman and continued as Swee'Pea's babysitter; and Toar, a caveman.

From comment 2/2 in [66]:

Popeye | Weinstein | Anderson | Wonderland:

the 1980 live-action film

directed by Robert Altman

starring comedian Robin Williams as Popeye

The above isn't a direct link to Weinstein, he comes up because Paul Thomas Anderson cites director(of the 1980 live-action Popeye film) Robert Altman as one of his main influences. Reading about Anderson reveals that Michael Caton-Jones served as his mentor at the Sundance Feature Film Program. Caton-Jones & Harvey Weinstein clashed over Caton-Jones's decision to cast Sophie Okonedo to star in the film B.Monkey, Weinstein decided that Okonedo wasn't "fuckable", instead casting Asia Argento, who would in 2017, become one of the first to accuse Weinstein of sexual assault.[66]

"Wonderland" was a keyword of interest here due to Paul Thomas Anderson's films about John Holmes, who was arrested, tried & acquitted in relation to the 1981 Wonderland Murders.[66]

Given the key elements at hand here; Popeye & Robin Williams, let's return to linking these two back to Andy Warhol. The Bruce Berman/Robin Williams connection is a recall to the start of this entry; Happy Feet.

To kick this off, we'll go back to the fire at Trump Tower in Manhatten. Starting with a quick reminder that, sometime between 2005 - 2007, Sara Bronfman(of NXIVM & Seagram's Inc. fame) purchased an apartment in the very same building, which would be used by Nancy Salzman:

The following links and a little more information about Stuart Pivar, can be found in comments 6 & 9 from Root of Corruption - Annex: Addendum RE: #WHQOPSI: Jim Carrey.

[67. vanityfair.com - "The Heiress and the Cult": https://archive.is/SBeH1]:

~From January 2005 to late 2007, according to court filings, Raniere, trading through First Principles, a company registered in Nancy Salzman’s name, would lose close to $70 million—and the Bronfmans would cover $65.6 million of it. Between them, they would also spend close to $1 million to buy and refurbish Salzman’s house in Halfmoon; Clare would pay $2.3 million for a 234-acre horse farm outside Albany that nxivm would use; and Sara would buy a $6.5 million apartment in the Trump International Hotel & Tower in Manhattan that Salzman would use. They would also “lend” about $1.7 million to buy nxivm’s headquarters.~

Also, a quick look at Scientology properties relative to the two Trump Tower properties:

Reminder: I am not accusing Trump of being in league with Scientology and NXIVM. Quite the opposite; I suspect they've been gunning for him and trying to assist in spying on and/or attacking him.

With the above in mind, let's now revisit the fire at Trump Tower, Manhattan, NY, which claimed the life of Todd Brassner.

[68. nytimes.com - "Art Collector and Bon Vivant Dies in Trump Tower Home He Couldn’t Sell": https://archive.is/0RTPT]:

~Mr. Brassner was one of two sons born to an art dealer and lighting manufacturer named Jules Brassner, who introduced him to Warhol. Todd Brassner fit right into the Warhol orbit, and often went shopping with the artist, said Stuart Pivar, a collector who was very close to Warhol.

“They were like two 14-year-olds, seeing the world,” Mr. Pivar said. “And he was very knowledgeable about pop art.”~

~[Brassner] filed for bankruptcy in 2015, but soon after he inherited money from his father. “He showed up at my house the next day in a brand-new red Lamborghini,” Mr. Pivar said. “That was Todd.”

The connection between Andy Warhol, Stuart Pivar and Todd Brassner warrants a closer look at Pivar;

[69. nytimes.com - "Two Scientists Caught in Amber": https://archive.is/hYR9Z]:

~(Mr. Pivar was invited to Warhol's Factory by a friend in the early 1970's, and he and Warhol soon became close friends and shopping companions.)~

~"It is a good thing to identify yourself as a collector," Mr. Pivar said. "People will bring you things."~

~He has also amassed precious musical instruments including the 16th-century harpsichord in his study and a platinum flute, which he bought at auction in 1986 for $187,000, he said, after a bidding war with an investment banker, who wanted to buy it for his 12-year-old-daughter.

Warhol's diary entry that year for Oct. 18 recorded the moment: "Stuart kept his paddle up and I could feel his whole body next to me shaking. When the hammer came down, Stuart was just in shock. Just in shock. He then consumed two double martinis and four hot chocolates."~

Before we get to the part that links Pivar(thus Warhol and Brassner) back to the 'symbolism' of Popeye, let's note another Bronfman(thus NXIVM and Seagram's) link to Warhol's art;

[70. washdiplomat.com - "Warhol's Landmark Portraits Make Their Way Back to D.C.": https://archive.is/XCjAF]:

Emphasis added by me.

Any time an artist departs from the norm, people get uncomfortable, said Susan W. Morgenstein, guest curator of “Andy Warhol’s Ten Portraits of Jews of the Twentieth Century in Retrospect,” an exhibit at the Washington District of Columbia Jewish Community Center’s Ann Loeb Bronfman Gallery.

The display comprises Warhol’s 10 portraits of renowned Jews: French actress Sarah Bernhardt; Louis Brandeis, the first Jewish justice of the U.S. Supreme Court; philosopher and educator Martin Buber; physicist Albert Einstein; Sigmund Freud, father of psychoanalysis; the comical Marx brothers; former Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir; composer George Gershwin; novelist Franz Kafka; and writer Gertrude Stein.

[57. wiki - "Batman Dracula(1964 film)": https://archive.is/YoPBt]:

Batman Dracula is a 1964 black and white American film produced and directed by Andy Warhol,[1] without the permission of DC Comics, publishers of comics about the character Batman.

Production background

The film was screened only at Warhol's art exhibits. A fan of the Batman comic series, Warhol made the movie as a "homage." Batman Dracula is considered to be the first film featuring a blatantly campy Batman.

The film was thought to have been lost until scenes from it were shown at some length in the documentary Jack Smith and the Destruction of Atlantis (2006).

Jack Smith appeared as Batman.[2]

Cast

  • Tally Brown as Florence, Granddaughter of Old Woman and Old Man
  • Beverly Grant as Rose [1]
  • Sam Green
  • Dorothy Dean as Doris
  • Bob Heide
  • Baby Jane Holzer[1] as Rebecca Sister of Sydney and Titus
  • Sally Kirkland
  • Ron Link
  • Naomi Levine as Elizabeth Daughter of Gaston
  • Gerard Malanga
  • Mario Montez
  • Billy Name
  • Taylor Mead
  • Ivy Nicholson as Roxanne [1]
  • Jack Smith as Batman/Dracula[1]
  • Andy Warhol

Very little about Batman Dracula's plot is able to be discerned at this point, other than that it was allegedly about Batman facing his fear of bats, in the form of an adversary who could turn into a bat; Dracula. Both characters were played by Jack Smith, allegedly as an homage to the "spiritual connection"(because bats) that Batman has to Dracula.

Further information can be gathered from the following article and accompanying videos, but, not much really.

[58. openculture.com - "When Andy Warhol Made a Batman Superhero Movie (1964)": https://archive.is/rXgnA]:

~Though Warhol did complete Batman Dracula, he only showed it at a few of his art shows before DC Comics called and demanded an immediate end to its screenings.

Nobody has found a complete print since, but you can watch a few minutes of the surviving footage cut to "The Nothing Song" by the Velvet Underground & Nico (a much more enduring product of the Factory) in the video at the top of the post. Below that we have the LowRes Wünderbred video essay "Deconstructing Andy Warhol's Batman Dracula," which provides more details on the making of Batman Dracula and its context in the careers of Warhol and his collaborators. The Film Histories video on Batman Dracula just above gets into how the movie opened up a "Pandora's box" of unauthorized Batman and Batman-like movies, including The Wild World of Batwoman and the Filipino Alyas Batman at Robin. So many Batman projects, official and otherwise, now exist, and so many more remain to be made. But will any of the material's future stewards push its artistic boundaries as much as Warhol did?

Videos linked in above quote, first to last, via invidio.us:

So again we have the recurring theme of Vampire(anti-Dracul[a]) propaganda linked to Warhol, but it doesn't stop here. By looking closer at 2 of the Warhol superstars involved, Mario Montez & Jack Smith, we find even more. As we proceed, again keep in mind that Andrea Feldman's suicide coincides with the date of Marilyn Monroe's death...

Let's start with Mario Montez, as this will lead us on to Jack Smith again anyway.

[59. wiki - "Mario Montez": https://archive.is/WKmUd]:

Emphasis added by me.

René Rivera, (July 20, 1935 – September 26, 2013), known professionally as Mario Montez, was one of the Warhol superstars, appearing in thirteen of Andy Warhol's underground films from 1964 to 1966. He took his name as a male homage to the actress Maria Montez, an important gay icon in the Fifties and Sixties. Before appearing in Warhol's films, he appeared in Jack Smith's important underground films Flaming Creatures[1] and Normal Love.[2] Montez also stars in the Ron Rice film, Chumlum, made in 1964. Mario Montez, was "a staple in the New York underground scene of the 1960s and '70s."[3]

[60. wiki - "Flaming Creatures(1963 film)": https://archive.is/8kmmn]:

Emphasis added by me.

Flaming Creatures is a 1963 American experimental film directed by Jack Smith. The film shows performers dressed in elaborate drag for several disconnected scenes, including a lipstick commercial, an orgy, and an earthquake. It premiered April 29, 1963 at the Bleecker Street Cinema in New York City.

Because of its graphic depiction of sexuality, some venues refused to show Flaming Creatures, and in March 1964, police interrupted a screening and seized a print of the film. Jonas Mekas, Ken Jacobs, and Florence Karpf were charged, and the film was ruled to be in violation of New York's obscenity laws. Mekas and Susan Sontag mounted a critical defense of Flaming Creatures, and it became a cause célèbre for the underground film movement.

Description

Most of the film's characters are sexually ambiguous, including transvestites, intersex, and drag performers. Flaming Creatures is largely non-narrative, and its action is often interrupted by cutaways to close-ups of body parts.[1]

The film opens with credit sequence set to the soundtrack of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves and the announcement that "Ali Baba comes today." Two creatures laze in a garden and dance. In what Smith called the "smirching sequence", characters apply lipstick while a mock advertisement poses the question, "Is there lipstick that doesn't come off when you suck cocks?" Two creatures chase each other, and one throws the other to the ground.[2] Several creatures gather around her in a rape scene, which grows into a large orgy. The earth begins to quake, and the creatures collapse.[3] A vampire resembling Marilyn Monroe climbs out of a coffin and drains some of the lifeless creatures. This reignites the action, and the creatures rise again to dance with one another.[1]

Again, we have the recurring theme of vampire propaganda(at the expense of Marilyn Monroe's likeness, no less), including sexual assault and a mild resemblance to plot points/events that would later be seen again in Blood for Dracula(earthquake awakening vampires).

Noteworthy is the arrest and prosecution of various people for screening this film, and even moreso, that the situation became quite political - I'm going to skip past that here though and stay on topic.

What's also very curious to me, is that the film opens with a "credit sequence set to the soundtrack of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves and the announcement that "Ali Baba comes today."" - Why is this significant? Well, let's follow this and see how far we can take it...

[61. wiki - "Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves (1944 film)": https://archive.is/u28oI]:

Emphasis added by me.

Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves is a 1944 adventure film starring Maria Montez and Jon Hall, and directed by Arthur Lubin. The film is derived from The Book of One Thousand and One Nights but its story departs greatly from the tale of the same name and includes an actual historic event. The film is one of series of "exotic" tales released by Universal during the war years; others include Cobra Woman, Arabian Nights and White Savage.[2]

Plot

The story begins in the immediate aftermath of the successful Mongolian conquest of Bagdad by Hulagu Khan (Kurt Katch).~

Starring

Jon Hall

Maria Montez

Leif Erickson

Kurt Katch

Turhan Bey

Frank Puglia

Well fancy that, the actress that Mario Montez based his screen name on, Maria Montez, starred in the film that Flaming Creatures used soundtrack audio from in its opening credit scene... Is that all? Of course not! Follow along for more...

Filmography

  • White Savage (1943)
  • Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves (1944)~

Maria Montez played a role in the other 3 "exotic" tales released by Universal during the war years, mentioned at the start of ref 61. Curious, no?

But wait! There's still more!

[63. wiki - "Arabian Nights(1942 film)": https://archive.is/uNAIH]:

Emphasis added by me.

Arabian Nights is a 1942 adventure film starring Sabu, Maria Montez, Jon Hall and Leif Erickson and directed by John Rawlins. The film is derived from The Book of One Thousand and One Nights but owes more to the imagination of Universal Pictures than the original Arabian stories. Unlike other films in the genre (The Thief of Bagdad), it features no monsters or supernatural elements.[3]

The film is one of series of "exotic" tales released by Universal during the war years. Others include Cobra Woman, Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves and White Savage. This is the first film by Universal to use the three-strip Technicolor film process.

Plot

The story starts at a harem in Persia, where the elderly overseer bids his young charges to read the story of Haroun al-Rashid (Hall) and his wife Sherazade (Montez), unfolding the film's plot in the process.

Sherazade, a dancer in a wandering circus owned by Ahmad (Billy Gilbert) - whose troupe also includes Sinbad the Sailor and Aladdin, who have seemingly fallen on hard times -, had captured the attention of Kamar (Erickson), the brother of caliph Haroun al-Rashid.~

Why is Sinbad the Sailor significant? Where are you going with this? Well, it's time to circle all of this back around to Harvey Weinstein, Bruce Berman, Andy Warhol and NXIVM/Scientology, by way of flashbacks to my previous research.

[50. wiki - "Andrea Feldman": https://archive.is/3oOzj]:

Death

In August 1972, several days after returning from Europe, Feldman summoned several ex-boyfriends, including poet Jim Carroll, to the New York City apartment of her parents to witness what she called her "final starring role". "She left a note that said, “I’m headed for the big time. I'm on my way up there with James Dean and Marilyn Monroe.”"[3]

Holding a Bible in one hand and a crucifix in the other, Feldman jumped from the fourteenth floor of 51 Fifth Avenue.[4]

Her suicide preceded the release of Warhol's Heat, in which she had a much larger role than in previous Warhol films, by only three weeks.[5] Feldman's performance garnered positive reviews. Judith Crist, a critic for New York magazine wrote: "The most striking performance, in large part non-performance, comes from the late Andrea Feldman, as the flat-voiced, freaked-out daughter, a mass of psychotic confusion, infantile and heart-breaking."[4]

Interestingly, there's no consensus as to exactly what she was holding in her hands when she committed suicide. The bio on her IMDB page alleges that she was holding "a rosary and a can of Coca-Cola", this is something that comes from a disillusioned Warhol supporter named Bob Colacello.

[51. [50: ref 4]: https://archive.is/BMtR6#selection-1769.0-1775.7]:

According to Bob Colacello, Andrea Feldman was carrying a can of coke in one hand and a rosary in the other when she jumped from 51 Fifth Avenue. Many factory employees thought August 8th was Warhol's birth date at the time - Andrea may have chosen this date because she assumed it was his birthday. It was also the tenth anniversary of MARILYN MONROE's death with whom Andrea identified herself.

Bob Colacello (born 1947) is an American writer. Born in Bensonhurst, New York,[1] and raised in Plainview, Long Island, he graduated from the Edmund A. Early endeavors and Interview magazine

~In 1970, Colacello wrote a review of Andy Warhol's film Trash, which he hailed as a "great Roman Catholic masterpiece". This review garnered the attention of Warhol, and Paul Morrissey, the director of many of Warhol's films, who approached Colacello to write for Interview magazine, a new art/film/fashion magazine Warhol had recently begun to publish.[5] Colacello was made editor of Interview within six months and, for the next 12 years, remained directly involved in all aspects of life and business at The Factory, Warhol's infamous studio, as he developed the magazine into one of the best-known lifestyle magazines of the time.[4] As Colacello himself writes in Holy Terror: Andy Warhol Close up (1990), Warhol suggested Colacello change his name to Bob Cola, in order to sound more "pop."[6]

[53. [52: ref 6]: https://archive.is/Y8Yoy]:

~[Andy Warhol's] book The Philosophy Of Andy Warhol: From A To B And Back Again (1975), for example, was written, [Bob Colacello] tells us, by Warhol's right-hand female secretary and general slave Pat Hackett (nine chapters), by ex-film superstar Brigid Berlin (one chapter), and by Colacello himself (four chapters). All three of them, writes the now disenchanted memoirist, collaborated on the prologue. When Warhol turned up on the cover of New York magazine under the headline "Andy Warhol's Greatest Secret: He Likes to Write," Colacello admits "It finally hit me then - I was part of a big lie..."

Getting back to Andrea, let's take a quick look at the movie "Heat" and let things segue:

[54. wiki - "Heat(1972 film)": https://archive.is/IvzBN]:

Plot

Joey Davis is an unemployed former child star who supports himself as a hustler in Los Angeles. Joey uses sex to get his landlady to reduce his rent, then seduces Sally Todd, a former Hollywood starlet. Sally tries to help Joey revive his career but her status as a mediocre ex-actress proves to be quite useless. Sally's psychotic daughter, Jessica, further complicates the relationship between Sally and the cynical, emotionally numb Joey.

Cast

  • Joe Dallesandro as Joey Davis
  • Sylvia Miles as Sally Todd
  • Andrea Feldman as Jessica~

[55. wiki - "Joe Dallesandro": https://archive.is/THExB]:

Joseph Angelo D'Allesandro III (born December 31, 1948), better known as Joe Dallesandro, is an American actor and Warhol superstar.~

Let's skip straight to the point here & look at 2 of the Warhol films that Joe was in after "Heat":

Year Title Role Notes
1973 Andy Warhol's Frankenstein Nicholas, the stableboy Alternative title: Flesh for Frankenstein
1974 Blood for Dracula Mario Balato, the Servant Alternative title: Andy Warhol's Dracula

[56. wiki - "Blood for Dracula": https://archive.is/vxuVd]:

~The film involves Count Dracula arriving in Italy to feast upon the blood of virgins, only to find difficulty with this due to the lack of virgins present in Italy.~

Plot

In the first years of the 1920s, a sickly and dying Count Dracula, who, as a vampire, must drink virgin blood to survive, travels from Transylvania to Italy just before the rise of Mussolini into power, following his servant Anton's plan and thinking he will be more likely to find a virgin in a Catholic country. At the same time, all of Dracula's family has vanished because of two reasons, the lack of virgins in their hometown and how the family's reputation prevents any normal family from choosing to bring women to the renowned castle. Shortly after arriving in Italy, Dracula befriends Il Marchese di Fiore (de Sica), an impecunious Italian landowner who, with a lavish estate falling into decline, is willing to marry off one of his four daughters to the wealthy aristocrat.

Of di Fiore's four daughters, Saphiria and Rubinia regularly enjoy the sexual services of Mario, the estate handyman, a proud peasant and staunch Marxist who believes that the socialist revolution will happen soon in his country. Esmeralda and Perla (eldest and youngest, respectively) are virgins; Esmeralda thought too plain and past her prime for marriage and Perla only 14 years old (portrayed by 23-year-old Dionisio). Dracula obtains assurances that all the daughters are virgins and drinks the blood of the two who are considered marriageable. However, their "tainted" blood reveals to him the truth and makes him even weaker. Nevertheless, he is able to turn the two girls into his telepathic slaves.

Soon after the Marchese di Fiore travels out of Italy to pay his great debts, Mario discovers that Dracula is a vampire and what he has done to the di Fiore sisters. When he realizes the danger Dracula poses to Perla, the youngest, he rapes her to protect her.~

So here we have our recurring theme that can be linked to Weinstein & Warhol(keeping in mind the arguable connection between Berman & Warhol on the basis of the deaths of Brittany Murphy & Simon Monjack); Vampire(anti-Dracul[a]) propaganda - mixed with none other than sexual assault & notably in this case, 'justifying' pedophilia.

Production

In 1973, Paul Morrissey and Joe Dallesandro came to Italy to shoot a film for producers Andrew Braunsberg and Carlo Ponti.[7] The original idea came from director Roman Polanski who had met Morrissey when promoting his film What? with Morrissey stating that Polanksi felt he would be "a natural person to make a 3-D film about Frankenstein. I thought it was the most absurd option I could imagine."[7] Morrissey convinced Ponti to not just make one film during this period, but two which led to the production of both Flesh for Frankenstein and Blood for Dracula.[7]

One day after the principal shooting for Flesh for Frankenstein was completed, Morrissey had Udo Kier, Dallesandro and Arno Juerging to get shorter hair cuts as filming for Blood for Dracula began immediately.[1] The film featured other directors in the cast, including Vittorio De Sica who wrote his own lines on the set.[5] Roman Polanski also made a cameo in a tavern scene.[5] Despite other sources' claims, Polanski was not shooting What? at the time in Italy, as that film had already been released in Italy by the time the film Blood for Dracula went into production.[5] On its release, the film was promoted with Andy Warhol's name. When asked about how he contributed to the film, Warhol responded that "I go to the parties," following up that "All of us at The Factory contribute ideas."[8]

Italian credits of the film give different credits, including stating Tonino Guerra wrote the screenplay and story, and Franca Silvi edited the film opposed to Jed Johnson.[2] Antonio Margheriti is credited as the director in the Italian prints, which he later claimed was not true, but that he did direct scenes with Silvia Dionisio and Vittorio de Sica.[5] Udo Kier has stated that other cast members and himself only received direction from Morrissey and that he never saw Margheriti on the set.[9] Margheriti credit was due to Carlo Ponti having an Italian credited in order to obtain benefits by law for Italian films.[5] Ponti and Margheriti were both put on trial later "continued and aggravated fraud against the state".[5]

Fancy that - on the subject of pedophilia, Roman Polanski was involved; we can now add him to this congregation of death, degeneracy & propaganda.

Next, we're going to continue with the recurring theme(s), by looking at another Warhol film and the Warhol superstars involved. Keep in mind also, the date of Andrea Feldman's suicide and that it coincides with the death of Marilyn Monroe.

Getting back on track now, it's time to take a closer look at The Warhol Link.

Let's recap for a moment though: (Asterisks indicate no suspicion of wrongdoing, ? indicates unsure)

Randy Quaid * | Bruce Berman | Happy Feet | Brittany Murphy * | Simon Monjack ? | George Hickenlooper ? | Factory Girl | Edie Sedgwick* | Andy Warhol

[45. wiki - "Factory Girl(film)": https://archive.is/r5Z7K]:

Interstingly, this wiki entry makes zero mention of the situation involving Simon Monjack.

Factory Girl is a 2006 American biographical film directed by George Hickenlooper. It is based on the rapid rise and fall of 1960s underground film star and socialite, Edie Sedgwick (played by Sienna Miller), known for her association with the artist Andy Warhol (Guy Pearce).

Distributed by

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer

The Weinstein Company

I'll skip quoting the majority of the plot, save for the following notables[45]:

The film is framed by Edie Sedgwick (Sienna Miller) being interviewed in a hospital several years after her time as an Andy Warhol superstar.

Although descended from a prestigious family lineage and raised on an idyllic, California ranch, Edie was sexually abused by her father during childhood.

Now for the Controversy and Production sections[45]:

Controversy

Lou Reed, singer/songwriter of the Velvet Underground and one of the Factory people who knew Sedgwick, hated the film. He told the New York Daily News, "I read that script. It's one of the most disgusting, foul things I've seen – by any illiterate retard – in a long time. There's no limit to how low some people will go to write something to make money... They're all a bunch of whores."[2][3]

Bob Dylan threatened to sue, saying through his lawyers that the script insinuated his responsibility in Sedgwick's drug abuse and death.[4] Although the name of the character in question was changed to Billy Quinn, Dylan still attempted to halt the film's release. Sienna Miller defended the film against Dylan's allegations, saying in an interview with the Guardian, "It blames Warhol more than anyone, because he did abandon her...there was a friendship there, she needed help and no one helped her. It's not that Dylan drove her to heroin addiction."[1]

Sedgwick’s brother Jonathan claimed that Dylan got her pregnant during their relationship, and that she had an abortion.[5][6]

Production

The film was set back by numerous delays, including a lawsuit by Sony Pictures, as well as the schedules of Miller and Pearce, so additional shooting was delayed until mid November 2006.[7] Consequently, producer Harvey Weinstein had to postpone the release date. Additionally, according to director George Hickenlooper, the budget was once expected to be $8 million, but ended up being less than $7 million.[8]

Hickenlooper helmed the additional shoots and mixed the final cut of the film in New York City, where he worked in close collaboration with Weinstein.[9] Weinstein released the picture on December 29, 2006 in Los Angeles. Because the post production schedule was so delayed, Hickenlooper continued to sound edit the film after its initial release.[9] The film received a nationwide release on February 2, 2007.

During the fall of 2008, Hickenlooper uploaded a rough director's cut of the film to YouTube now referred to as "The Unseen Director’s Cut." Due to the Weinstein Company's ownership of the footage and the material not being authorized for release, it was removed from the website.[10]

Casting

Katie Holmes was set to star as Sedgwick, but it was reported Tom Cruise convinced Holmes not to do it because it would be bad for her image. Regarding the rumors, Holmes said, "I declined the role in Factory Girl based on my own decisions about the movie."[11] The role then went back to Miller. However, Holmes had also stated that even if she did take the part, she would have had to drop out because she was pregnant when the movie was set to begin filming.

Well fancy that... Not only has this got Weinstein's grubby fingers all over it, Tom Cruise's other love interest(aside from Nicole Kidman), Katie Holmes, was set to star as Edie...

Quite curious that Tom Cruise and Harvey Weinstein seem to be hanging around like flies, peripheral the deaths of Brittany Murphy and Simon Monjack - with another core element being Andy Warhol, wouldn't you say?

Let's take a quick moment to learn about Edie[46]:

Edith Minturn Sedgwick (April 20, 1943 – November 16, 1971) was an American actress and fashion model. She is best known for being one of Andy Warhol's superstars. Sedgwick became known as "The Girl of the Year" in 1965 after starring in several of Warhol's short films in the 1960s.[1][2] She was dubbed an "It Girl",[3] while Vogue magazine also named her a "Youthquaker".[4]

Early life and education

Edie Sedgwick was born in Santa Barbara, California, the seventh of eight children of Alice Delano de Forest (1908–1988) and Francis Minturn Sedgwick (1904–1967), a rancher and sculptor.[5] She was named after her father's aunt, Edith Minturn Stokes, who was famously painted with her husband, Isaac Newton Phelps Stokes, by John Singer Sargent.[6]

Despite her family's wealth and high social status, Edie's early life was troubled.[7] The Sedgwick children were raised on the family's California ranches. Initially schooled at home and cared for by nannies, their lives were rigidly controlled by their parents. They were largely isolated from the outside world, and it was instilled into them that they were superior to most of their peers. It was within these familial and social conditions that Sedgwick by her early teens developed an eating disorder, settling into an early pattern of bingeing and purging. At age 13 (the year her grandfather Henry Sedgwick died), Sedgwick began boarding at the Branson School near San Francisco. According to her older sister Alice "Saucie" Sedgwick, she was soon taken out of the school because of the eating disorder. Her father severely restricted her freedom when she returned home.

All the Sedgwick children had conflicted relationships with their father (whom they called "Fuzzy"). By most accounts, he was narcissistic, emotionally remote, controlling, and frequently abusive. He also openly carried on affairs with other women. On one occasion, Edie walked in on him while he was having sex with one of his mistresses. She reacted with great surprise, but he claimed that she had imagined it, slapped her, and called a doctor to administer tranquilizers to her.[8] As an adult, Edie told people that he had attempted to molest her several times, beginning when she was seven.[7]~

[49. [46: Ref 7]: https://archive.is/34uJV#selection-751.0-751.695]

[46]:

Family background

Sedgwick's family was long established in Massachusetts history. Her seventh-great grandfather, English-born Robert Sedgwick,[13] was the first Major General of the Massachusetts Bay Colony settling in Charlestown, Massachusetts, in 1635.[14] Sedgwick's family later moved to Stockbridge, Massachusetts where her great-great-great grandfather Judge Theodore Sedgwick had settled after the American Revolution. Theodore married Pamela Dwight of the New England Dwight family[15] who was the daughter of Abigail (née Williams) Dwight. Ephraim Williams, the founder of Williams College, was Sedgwick's fifth-great grandfather.[16] Judge Theodore Sedgwick was the first to plead and win a case for the freedom of a black woman, Elizabeth Freeman, under the Massachusetts Bill of Rights that declared all men to be born free and equal.[17] Her paternal great-great-great grandfather, William Ellery, was a signatory of the United States Declaration of Independence.[17]

Sedgwick's mother, Alice, was the daughter of Henry Wheeler de Forest, the President and Chairman of the Board of the Southern Pacific Railroad, and a direct descendant of Jessé de Forest, of Huguenot ancestry, whose Dutch West India Company helped to settle New Amsterdam.[18] Jessé de Forest was also Edie's seventh-great grandfather.[19] Her paternal grandfather was the historian and acclaimed author Henry Dwight Sedgwick III; her great-grandmother, Susanna Shaw, was the sister of Robert Gould Shaw, the American Civil War Colonel; and her great-great-grandfather, Robert Bowne Minturn, was a part owner of the Flying Cloud clipper ship and is credited with creating and promoting Central Park in New York City.[20] She was the first cousin once removed of actress Kyra Sedgwick. Kyra is the daughter of Henry Dwight Sedgwick V (Edie's first cousin), the son of Robert Minturn Sedgwick, who was the older brother of Francis Minturn Sedgwick.

Interesting that Edie, of such notable stock, found herself at the hands of an abusive(possibly pedophile) father and then later in life found herself in the Warhol orbit...

Next up, we'll take a brief look at another of Warhol's "superstars" due to the circumstances of her death, which will then segue into looking at several more "superstars" and their link to another recurring theme relating to Andy Warhol, Harvey Weinstein and Hollywood propaganda/corruption - along with other aspects of the Root of Corruption series.

(8/13)

We are starting to reach the curious and suspicious aspects of Simon Monjack's rapid decline in health and subsequent death within months of Brittany Murphy's death.

[40]:

Sharon later claimed that Simon refused to go to the hospital. She told the Coroner's Office of sitting on the bed with Simon, "wiping the stream of brown fluid that continued emitting from his mouth," but did not call 911 until hours after he died.

Similarly, Brittany Murphy told her mother, Sharon Murphy: "Mommy, I'm dying" at least an hour before her mother finally called 911. Sharon Murphy was vehemently opposing an autopsy for her deceased daughter for reasons she was unable to articulate.

A couple of notes from the above interview snippet:

  • 0:36 - 0:40: Simon describes Brittany's body as "pristine", "curvy in all the right places" and having "skin like silk", in contrast to claims that she was deteriorating due to ostensible drug abuse.
  • 0:50 - 1:10: Sharon appears to become emotional but cannot seem to cry; I would dare to say that she's faking it and doing a very poor job of it at that.

At this point, I think I've gone into enough detail about the suspicious circumstances surrounding Brittany's and Simon's deaths. I began writing this submission months ago and in the time between then and now, Julia Davis has deleted her blog entry. The reason for this deletion is unknown.

I am unsure as to exactly what happened to Brittany, though my personal suspicion is that her death was not natural and that Sharon Murphy knows far more than she's letting on and may have had a vested interest in the deaths of Brittany and Simon. It's also possible that Sharon is under some amount of duress, but, whether that and/or a vested interest are at play, remains to be determined(if ever at all).

It seems apparent to me that Brittany was 'driven' to a weakened state by Hollywood and/or clandestine corruption, perhaps even poisoned in some way also. Ultimately leading to an early death which was suspiciously similar to that of Simon.

It's time to get back to the crux of this RoC entry; The Warhol Link, by looking a little closer at Simon Monjack.

Recall from [26]:

~While he's often referred to as a British filmmaker, Monjack's resume is sparse. In fact, one of his few credits was achieved by suing the makers of Factory Girl (2006) and claiming they stole his script. Following Murphy's death, director George Hickenlooper reportedly unloaded on Monjack in since-deleted comments on the movie site Hollywood-Elsewhere.

"Simon Monjack did not produce Factory Girl," Hickenlooper reportedly wrote (via Movieline.) "He sued his way onto the project for a title and stole 150K out of my budget. He is a con man and a bad guy. When Brittany married him I warned her and warned her as did so many others. I only hope to God that this creep wasn't instrumental in her sad sad demise. What a wonderful wonderful girl she was. I really really cared for her."

Hickenlooper allegedly attempted to contact Murphy before her death, but Monjack allegedly wouldn't allow it. "I thought he might take her for all her money," Hickenlooper reportedly wrote (via Movieline.) "Little did I know she would end up dead."

Here's what the wiki entry for Simon Monjack says about that situation[13]:

Career

Monjack directed, produced, and wrote the B movie Two Days, Nine Lives in 2000.[8] He received story credit for the 2006 biographical film Factory Girl about Warhol actress/model Edie Sedgwick.[9] Director George Hickenlooper contended that "Monjack had nothing to do with Factory Girl" and that "he filed a frivolous lawsuit against us [...] making bogus claims that we had stolen his script. He held us literally hostage and we were forced to settle with him as he held our production over a barrel." Monjack denied these claims.[10]~

[13: Ref 10: https://archive.is/4Jkvw]:

"My problem is that I do not look like Ashton Kutcher," Monjack told the newspaper, referring to Murphy's ex boyfriend. "Nor do they [the Hollywood elite] like the fact that she [Murphy] married someone who was not famous. Here, stars like stars to marry other stars."

But "Factory Girl" director George Hickenlooper, who was friends with Murphy and almost cast her in the role of Edie Sedgwick instead of Sienna Miller, had more specific problems with Monjack. He said he asked Murphy to seriously consider her relationship with the British screenwriter.~

~Hickenlooper also wrote that Monjack's IMDB story credit on "Factory Girl" is a lie.

"Simon Monjack had nothing to do with Factory Girl," he wrote following Murphy's death. "He filed a frivolous lawsuit against us. . . making bogus claims that we had stolen his script. He held us literally to hostage and we were forced to settle with him as he held our production over a barrel."

Hickenlooper goes on to say he posted this information on IMDB two years ago as a warning against Monjack, who he says was using the credit to solicit money from investors. But he said he took down his allegations after a plea from Murphy herself.

Monjack refuted the director's claims in an interview with London's Daily Mail, claiming that he never even met Hickenlooper.

"I wanted to make 'Factory Girl' many years ago,' Mojack told the British tabloid. "What is being said is not true. I guess everyone deals with their grief in a different way — his is expressing his anger."

Before we go any further, I'd like to highlight how we can find the source of Hickenlooper's comments on Hollywood Elsewhere. As we learn some interesting stuff along the way.

Referring back the the "Career" section of the wiki entry for Simon Monjack[13]:

In 2007, E! News reported that Monjack was slated to direct a film adaptation of D. M. Thomas's novel about Sigmund Freud, The White Hotel, with Brittany Murphy cast in a leading role.[11]

[42. wiki - "The White Hotel": https://archive.is/ZP5Qn]:

Legacy

A number of efforts have been made to make the novel into a film, which some have described as unfilmable[5] or unadaptable. These have included attempts by Bernardo Bertolucci with Barbra Streisand, by David Lynch with Isabella Rossellini, by Simon Monjack with Brittany Murphy, and by Emir Kusturica with Nicole Kidman.[6]

Well now, isn't that curious? Both Brittany Murphy and Nicole Kidman were slated to star in adaptations of "The White Hotel" being put together by different teams at different times...

[43. [42: Ref 6]: https://archive.is/M1qDH]:

~Shortly after The White Hotel was published, Barbra Streisand snatched up the rights. She allegedly lost interest when director described by Thomas in a 2004 Guardian story as “postmodern” suggested they realize the novel’s surreal sex scenes by using “glass-fibre optics to enter the woman's vagina.” (In a Times U.K. story about Bleak Hotel, that technological brainstorm is credited to Bernardo Bertolucci, but the Guardian article holds to a different chronology; in any case it seems clear that Bertolucci was once associated with the project but disappeared around the time The Last Emperor won the Oscar for best picture.) Thomas was then hired by a pair of Texans to adapt the screenplay himself, in the hopes that director Terrence Malick could be persuaded to direct. He couldn’t. Around 1990, David Lynch expressed interest in directing a new screen adaptation of the book, this one written by Dennis Potter, but when Lynch broke up with potential star Isabella Rossellini, that fell apart. After Potter’s death, Serbian director Emir Kusturica circled his screenplay, with the hopes of casting Anthony Hopkins as Freud. And then war broke out in Serbia. And then, Pedro Almodovar expressed interest. And then, David Cronenberg. The “and then”s go on ad infinitum.

An August 2006 Variety item reported that Monjack, along with producer Susan Stewart Potter, had secured a $20 million investment and planned to start filming The White Hotel that October. By May of the following year, when news broke that Murphy and Monjack had married, the film had still not gone into production, although Murphy was at that point attached to star. Whatever happened to the project after that didn’t make news.

Here in this part, we find a (dead)link to the Hollywood Elsewhere post that Hickenlooper commented on[43]:

How serious was Monjack’s attempt to make the film? It doesn’t come up in any of the many circa-2008 stories surrounding Bleak Hotel’s British release. Monjack’s most significant credit to date is contributing story material to Factory Girl; and the director of that film, George Hickenlooper, has taken to message boards to accuse Monjack of improperly suing to get an executive producer credit on the Edie Sedgwick biopic, which Hickenlooper alleges Monjack then used to scam his way into other productions. In a long comment left last night on Hollywood Elsewhere, Hickenlooper writes that he “warned” Murphy about Monjack’s criminal past, and laments, “She was a sweet sweet angel and didn't deserve anything bad to happen to her ever…She was the most talented and underrated actresses [sic] working in film.”

Although the link is now dead(post deleted), I was able to dredge it up and archive it;

We're now starting to approach more curiosities with regards specifically to Simon Monjack's death; before we do jump right over to that side of things, it should be noted that I came across reference 36 while looking at Julia Davis' blog. Julia Davis being the person who is/was working with Angelo Bertolotti in trying to figure out what happened to Brittany and Simon, it is important to now look at what she presents in her blog.

Debunking media lies about Brittany Murphy’s death

Brittany Murphy’s death continues to be the topic of rumor, innuendo and outright fabrications, even years after her untimely demise. Let’s examine some of the most outrageous lies surrounding this ongoing saga.

The Daily Mail claimed: Brittany Murphy “was addicted to prescription drugs and was in a sedated state,” “the combination of drugs in Miss Murphy’s system might have contributed to her death.”

In reality, Brittany Murphy’s autopsy revealed that prescription medications were present in her body in therapeutic and sub-therapeutic levels and did not contribute to her death, as Coroner Craig Harvey admitted in this interview.

If Brittany Murphy was in fact a deeply sedated drug addict, blood analysis would have shown high levels of medications/narcotics in her blood. That was clearly not the case. Brittany Murphy’s autopsy reflects that she had “no history of alcohol or drug abuse.”

Note the title of the Daily Mail article linked in the above section: (herein reference 41)

[41. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2716933/Death-Clueless-star-Brittany-Murphy-prevented-mother-called-ambulance-24-hours-earlier.html | https://archive.is/VSdmZ]:

Death of Clueless star Brittany Murphy could have been prevented if her mother called an ambulance 24 hours earlier

"Clueless star"

[40]:

The Huffington Post speculated that Brittany Murphy had an “eating disorder” and opined that her “scarily low weight” contributed to her “fatal heart attack.”

In reality, Brittany Murphy’s autopsy described her body as “well-developed, normally muscular and slim but not excessively thin.” She did not die of a heart attack, nor did she pass away because of anorexia or bulimia.

Excerpts from the Huffington Post article linked above:

Brittany Murphy spent years denying eating disorder allegations but even she worried about her scarily low weight in the weeks leading up to her death.

"I am a bit thinner now than what I would like to be," Murphy, 32, admitted to Fox News’ Pop Tarts at an event December 3. Then: "I was a ballerina for a long time. I still take ballet lessons now - what it does to your body is incredible."

~

"I’m the same size I was in Clueless; it’s just that the weight in your face changes as you grow and get older," she said. "This is my body. I’m proud of it ... I’m healthy."

~

Murphy’s mother told paramedics that her daughter suffered from diabetes. If true, this could have played into any body image problems as many young female diabetics use the dangerous practice of skipping insulin injections to control their weight.

While Murphy repeatedly denied the drug allegations that plagued her career, those around her paint a different picture. "She had too many drugs and too little food," one of her makeup artists told the Daily Beast.

Murphy was looking more frail than ever at her last public appearance. Nutritional deprivation, especially coupled with vomiting, which Murphy was experiencing at the time of her death, can result in potassium levels low enough to cause cardiac arrest.

[40]:

The Daily Mail claimed: "Murphy was so frightened of the paparazzi outside her home she had turned into a social recluse and was reluctant to receive medical help when she first started having trouble breathing."

This claim is patently false. Brittany Murphy never refused medical treatment. In fact, she made an appointment with her doctor, but died one day before the scheduled visit. Furthermore, Brittany Murphy was never "frightened of the paparazzi," in fact “she thought of the tabloids and paparazzi as a family member, a weird cousin.” Brittany was also extremely friendly and receptive towards her fans.

Brittany Murphy's and Simon Monjack's legitimate fears had absolutely nothing to do with fans or paparazzi.

The Daily Mail claimed: Brittany Murphy "turned into a social recluse." Brittany had given her last interview shortly before her death, did not shy away from anyone and certainly did not appear "sedated."

Note that in the above section, both mentions of "The Daily Mail claimed" are in reference to the same article linked in the first section of JD's blog(quoted at the top of this comment); [41].

Note also that in "her last interview", while Brittany did not appear sedated/intoxicated, she did appear tired, disoriented and disjointed by her illness/ailments and possibly in part due to the medications she was taking in therapeutic/sub-therapeutic amounts. Indeed, she exhibits behaviors that are in line with deductions regarding pneumonia(shortness of breath; reduced oxygen to the brain), anemia and high-concentrations of in vivo heavy-metals

[40]:

The Daily Mail claimed: "there is evidence the poor condition of her home" – "a place of unhealthiness," "poor housing conditions like that is likely to have had a debilitating effect and contributed to her infection and death," "she was apparently living in appalling conditions."

To substantiate these lame claims, The Daily Mail used blurry photos of Brittany’s bathroom, where various beauty products were displayed in plain sight. The photos were taken 4 months after Brittany’s death and aren't sufficient to conclusively determine how the bathroom looked when Brittany was alive.

In reality, Brittany Murphy did not live in squalor, or in "appalling conditions" that could cause her to get infections and die. It's worth mentioning that Sharon Murphy (Brittany Murphy's mother) is a two-time cancer survivor. Sharon did not get any infections from the allegedly "dirty" house, where she continued to live for quite some time after Brittany and Simon died months apart.~

Again, "The Daily Mail claimed" refers to [41] in the above section.

[40]:

~Contrary to the false allegation that Brittany Murphy and Simon Monjack were living in appalling conditions, County of Los Angeles, Department of Coroner Investigator's Narrative states: "The home is nicely kept."

Best Daily went an extra mile and falsely claimed that Brittany Murphy "boarded up" her windows. This claim is patently untrue.

Note that the author of the Best Daily article couldn't even get Sharon Murphy's surname correct:

Clueless star Brittany Murphy was "paranoid" and lived like a recluse in her dirty Hollywood mansion - a shocking new documentary claims.

Her mother Sharon Monjack said in the days before her death the Hollywood actress was "paranoid" and lived a "completely mad" existence with her husband British filmmaker Simon Monjack.

[40]:

~The Daily Mail claimed the presence of "fungi in the mould growing on her walls and poorly ventilated rooms." The house was inspected not long prior to Brittany Murphy's death and no mold was found. In fact, The Daily Mail previously reported that the house was inspected and found not to have a mold problem.~

"The Daily Mail claimed" is again [41]. "The Daily Mail previously reported" is listed in this entry as reference 36(found in comment 5).

[40]:

Another important detail that was never mentioned by Dr. Richard Shepherd is that Simon Monjack was dead for approximately five (5) hours, before Sharon Murphy called 911.

In fact, Simon's mother repeatedly pleaded with Sharon Murphy to take him to the hospital or to call 911, as she could tell he was dangerously ill. Instead, Sharon reportedly told Simon she was calling for an ambulance, but instead dialed Simon's own telephone number and handed him the phone. Simon's voice can be heard on tape, saying "I need to go to the hospital." Sharon Murphy's voice directs Simon, "Tell them you have a ... fever."

From above-linked article:

Linda has a mobile phone recording which she says was made by Simon in his final hours, as he lay dying in his wife's Hollywood mansion where he still lived with Brittany's mother, Sharon Murphy.

Barely comprehensible, his speech drawn out and slurred, he can just about be heard saying he is sick and needs to go to hospital. His mother-in-law can be heard saying that he should tell the doctor he had a temperature of 104F.

But he never received the medical help he needed. Linda still cannot bear to listen to the recording.

'I'd pleaded with Sharon over and over during those last hours to get medical help, to get him to a hospital, but she didn't,' she weeps.

However, this allegation is strongly denied by Sharon Murphy's publicist, who insists that Sharon did try to help the son-in-law she loved.

Before we get back to the deaths of Brittany & Simon, let's take a look at the peculiar history of their house and what was done with it after the couple had died.

The house was previously owned by Britney Spears:

[32. https://variety.com/2017/dirt/real-estalker/britney-spears-thousand-oaks-mansion-1202004942/ | @ web.archive.org]:

~Having bought, sold and rented a slew of multi-million dollar mansions in several of Los Angeles’s premiere communities and enclaves, Miz Spears is certainly no stranger to the international property gossip columns. In June 2003 she sold an approximately 8,000-square-foot hillside house above the Sunset Strip for $3.85 million to Brittany Murphy who met her tragically untimely death there in late 2009. (The property was later sold, the existing house raised and an even larger über-modern mansion built that, after first being listed at $19.75 million, recently sold for $14,533,000.)~

Keeping in mind that theories regarding 'toxic mold' being a factor in the deaths, were ultimately dispelled:

[33. https://www.nickiswift.com/17695/dark-history-brittany-murphys-house/ | https://archive.is/P4mpo]:

Murphy's mother suspects toxic mold

In the wake of her daughter and son-in-law's deaths, Sharon Murphy grew agitated with persistent gossip about drug abuse playing a role in their demise. She began to suspect toxic mold in the home may have contributed to her family's fatal illnesses. However, Sharon's suspicions attracted criticism because she supposedly waited two years before voicing those concerns. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Los Angeles County coroner's office claimed Sharon would not allow its staff to inspect the property for mold after Monjack's death. Sharon refuted that claim.

In 2011, Sharon reached a settlement with the home's builders over defects on the property, but the following year, she sued the lawyers who helped broker that settlement for malpractice, alleging they "tricked her into settling," according to the Los Angeles Times. That suit was reportedly settled out of court in 2013.

Monjack's mother, Linda Monjack, also claimed that her son had found mold in the home before his passing. "All I know is that before Simon's death, he was having hallucinations that things were crawling out of his skin," she told the Daily Mail.

The house has since changed hands

Before Monjack's death, Sharon Murphy reportedly listed the home for $7.25 million. After her son-in-law's death, she sold the house to a developer for just $2.7 million in 2011, reported the Daily Mail.

After extensive renovations and expansion of the square-footage, the house hit the market again in April 2016 with a whopping $19.75 million price tag (but has already dropped to $18.4 million, per its Zillow listing). The 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 9,400 square-foot house hopes to lure a buyer by touting its slick city view, smart home technology, and open floor plan. While its promotional material does refer to that fateful his/hers bathroom with the private patio, the home's dark history fails to get a mention.

EXCLUSIVE: 'Cursed' Hollywood Hills home that once belonged to Britney Spears and later Brittany Murphy gets a massive makeover and a new mojo as it hits the market for $19.75 million

  • The former residence of Britney Spears and later Brittany Murphy in Hollywood Hills is barely recognizable after a 'ground up' renovation
  • The home boasts five bedrooms, 6.75 baths and 9,400 square feet of sleek finishes and floor-to-ceiling glass walls
  • Spears lived at the home around the time she dated Justin Timberlake
  • She sold the home to actress Brittany Murphy in June 2003 for $3,850,000
  • Brittany Murphy died at the home in on December 2009, after collapsing in the master bathroom
  • Just five months later in May 2010, Murphy's 40-year old widower husband Simon Monjack died in the house too
  • 'It's been totally transformed,' says a source familiar with the previous home, 'Hopefully all of that bad mojo is finally gone'

A Hollywood Hills home that once belonged to Britney Spears and later to actress Brittany Murphy and her British screenwriter/producer husband Simon Monjack is on the market for $19.75million.

The former residence of the pop princess and tragic actress is barely recognizable after a 'ground up' renovation.~

The price would later drop to $18.4 million & ultimately sell for $14,533,000(per its Zillow listing), but, consider the following 'coincidence':

$19.75 million | 1975

Speculation:

"'It's been totally transformed,' says a source familiar with the previous home, 'Hopefully all of that bad mojo is finally gone'" - cover-speak/subliminal for destruction of evidence?

RE: Subliminal language:

Many articles regarding Brittany's death refer to only a few of her movies(8-Mile, Girl Interrupted & Clueless) & in a rather particular way, ~"the 'Clueless' star/actress";

[27]:

The "8 Mile" and "Clueless" actress, who passed away in December 2009 at age 32, was declared to have died from acquired pneumonia and severe anemia.

Spears sold it to Clueless and 8 Mile actress Brittany Murphy in June 2003 for $3,850,000.

When 32-year-old Clueless star Brittany collapsed and died in the shower of her Hollywood home in December, an inquest ruled that she died from pneumonia complicated by her use of prescription drugs.

Seems there's an effort to associate Brittany Murphy with the word "clueless", ie, that she was clueless as to the danger she was in & that anyone looking into her death is also clueless...

Dispelling of 'toxic mold' as a factor:

[37. http://paradigmchange.me/murphy/ | https://archive.is/EF9ul]:

~At first, the idea that toxic mold had been involved in the deaths appeared to be dismissed by all concerned. The coroner stated that the involvement of mold had been considered and ruled out, and Brittany Murphy’s mother, Sharon Murphy, called the idea “absurd.”

A few years later, after consulting with professionals while working on selling the house, Sharon Murphy stated that she had changed her mind and that she had come to believe that toxic mold may have been a factor in the deaths.

~Murphy had frequently stated that she disliked the house and wished she didn’t have to spend time in it, and Monjack had investigated whether mold might have been a problem in the home prior to Murphy’s death.

Monjack had suffered from frequent seizures, asthma and sleep apnea while living in the home, and Sharon Murphy acquired breast cancer and debilitating neuropathy while living there.~

[38. [37: "Monjack had investigated whether mold might have been a problem in the home prior to Murphy’s death"]: https://abcnews.go.com/Health/Wellness/murphy-monjack-twin-deaths-mystery-mold-coroner/story?id=11259720 | https://archive.is/g786n]:

~though the house may have mold, autopsies show it "was not a factor in their death," Winter says.

Nonetheless, Winter says the house has been reported to the Department of Public Health, as a precaution considering that two people died of respiratory illness in the same residence within a few months of each other.

"It is unusual to have two people die of similar circumstances with pneumonia. We've been looking at it and saying, 'Something isn't right.' I'm not saying you can't get pneumonia from mold, but we did all the tests on it -- mold did not come up in the toxicology reports," he says.

There had been suspicions of mold in the house last fall due to a persistent leak, but a full house inspection ordered by Monjack in October came back mold-free.~

~In the months before Murphy died, she, her mother and Monjack were all in Puerto Rico, which Winter says adds another question mark to the investigation:

"Simon and Sharon came down with what they claimed were flu-like symptoms [while there], but they came back and got well with over-the-counter medicines, but when Brittany got sick, she didn't see a doctor and tried to self-medicate," Winter says.

[39. [38: "a full house inspection ordered by Monjack in October came back mold-free"]: https://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/Media/simon-monjack-husband-late-actress-brittany-murphy-found/story?id=10727826 | https://archive.is/GLtvJ]

Note: ref 39 does not actually mention mold or house inspection.

Monjack was outspoken about his grief following Murphy's December death. He described how he had lost his "best friend and soul mate" as the "Clueless" and "Girl, Interrupted" star was laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Christmas Eve.

But just nine days before his death, he told People that he was planning a European getaway and a new book project. He told the magazine that he hoped to travel with Sharon Murphy.

[26]:

Monjack and Sharon slept in the same bed

In August 2010, TMZ reported a tidbit of information that raised even more questions about Brittany's death. According to the coroner's report for Monjack's death, Sharon told investigators that she shared a bed with Monjack.

Just so we're clear: Brittany's mom was supposedly sleeping in the same bed as her widowed son-in-law. However, according to TMZ, the coroner's report "doesn't suggest sexual contact between the two," which doesn't exactly make things less bizarre.

Was mold a fatal factor?

With Murphy and Monjack both dead from the same causes, mold in the couple's Hollywood home was suspected. According to TMZ, investigators had already considered mold a factor after Murphy's death, but like everything surrounding the case, things took a weird turn.

While responding to a CNN report about speculation that mold could have contributed to both Murphy and Monjack's deaths, Winter, the aforementioned coroner, said there were "no indicators" that viral mold was a factor. However, in a strange twist, Sharon issued a statement that said she had "never been personally asked by the Coroner or anyone from the Health Department to come and inspect my home for mold." Winter said that was "an absolute lie," insisting that he had talked with Monjack, Sharon, and their lawyer about mold during the investigation.

Why would Sharon potentially lie about investigators checking the house for mold? Who knows? But one person was becoming very suspicious, and he was determined to get some answers.

Important note: Simon Monjack, Sharon Murphy and Ed Winter have been telling conflicting stories, effectively stonewalling the investigation into Brittany's death.

  • Murphy's husband, producer Simon Monjack, told People that Murphy had visited a doctor and was on antibiotics, but Winter disputed Monjack's version of events, telling People that the last time Murphy saw a doctor was "awhile ago."[26]
  • Sharon issued a statement that said she had "never been personally asked by the Coroner or anyone from the Health Department to come and inspect my home for mold." Winter said that was "an absolute lie," insisting that he had talked with Monjack, Sharon, and their lawyer about mold during the investigation.[26]

The conflicting stories seem to center specifically around the state of the house and Brittany's medical history and theories as to prescription medication having a fatal impact in combination with toxic mold and untreated anemia + pneumonia - yet, with all these elements in mind, surely Simon would have sought immediate medical treatment without delay after Brittany's death? Instead, he allegedly died of the exact same complications...

The house itself, has an air of suspicion to it also - to be explored further after ref 26.

[26]:

An independent lab suggested she was poisoned

In 2013, Brittany's father, Angelo Bertolotti, released the results of an independent lab report that suggested his daughter's death was not an accident. According to Bertolotti, his daughter was poisoned. "I have a feeling that there was a definite murder situation here," he told ABC News, which reported the independent lab results.

"Testing the hair strand sample identified as 'back of the head' we have detected ten (10) heavy metals at levels above the WHO high levels recommendation," the report read. "If we were to eliminate the possibility of a simultaneous accidental heavy metals exposure to the sample donor then the only logical explanation would be an exposure to these metals (toxins) administered by a third party perpetrator with likely criminal intent."

However, the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office stood by its results, and a toxicologist at the University of Florida told ABC News that hair test results "cannot be used to support any allegation of poisoning, and cannot be used to establish a cause and manner of death."

That didn't stop Bertolotti from pursuing the murder angle, and he already had a prime suspect.

This is where things get a bit more turbulent...

Emphasis my own.

Her dad accused her mom of murder

In a 2014 interview with the Examiner (via Jezebel), Bertolotti made it explicitly clear that he believes his ex-wife murdered their daughter.

"Let her explain why she had my daughter execute a will, leaving everything to her mother and specifically excluding Simon," Bertolotti said. "Let Sharon explain why she decided to do this right after Brittany and Simon told her of their plan to move to New York and have a baby. Let Sharon clarify how she was planning to support herself for the first time in decades, once Brittany moved away. Let her talk about auctioning off Brittany's underwear, passport, SAG card and clothes. There are many unanswered questions that have to be addressed. Out of three people living together in the same house, only one survives and benefits financially."

In 2016, Radar reported that Bertolotti's health had forced him to give up suing the LAPD and coroner's office for the right to exhume his daughter's remains to attempt to prove she was poisoned. According to family members, Bertolotti still believes Sharon is responsible for Brittany's death, but "he's got to move on with his life."

Brittany Murphy’s Sick Dad Drops Investigation On Her Death, Proclaims: ‘I’ve Lost Hope’

Angelo Bertolotti is 'ready to move on with his life,' his son claims.

~Angelo was also convinced that his ex and Brittany’s mom was involved in her passing, and wanted to sue her for wrongful death.

Sharon Murphy stayed at the home Brittany shared with her husband Simon Monjack — even after she passed away. Monjack died under similar circumstances less than six months after his wife.

Sharon has not been seen in years, and her disappearance has halted the investigation into exhuming her daughter’s body.

"We have attempted to locate Sharon multiple times, and they’ve refused to exhume without the mother agreeing," said family friend Julia Davis, a Department of Homeland Security snitch. "They’ve also refused to conduct any tests for toxins or poisons to confirm or challenge our lab reports."

"My father has explored every avenue, but he’s got to move on with his life," Brittany’s brother, Jeff Bertolotti, said. "He’s not a well man."

[26]:

The house was littered with 'empty pill bottles'

When E! News spoke to Winter in 2016, the coroner offered some new insight into the deaths of Brittany and Monjack. Specifically, he suggested that drugs may have played a bigger role than was initially believed.

"We took almost 90 empty pill bottles out of [the] bedroom," Winter said. "They were in Simon's name and aliases. It was like, Who has that many pill boxes? He popped pills. When we went back when Simon died, there were a bunch of prescriptions again."

No one knows what really happened

While official reports point to Brittany dying from pneumonia, anemia, and an adverse reaction from prescription drugs, there are more questions than answers about how she found herself in that predicament and what was really going on in her Hollywood home.

Her husband had a checkered past and allegedly maintained "tight control" over the actress and her finances, according to People. Meanwhile, Radar reported in 2016 that Sharon essentially vanished after her ex-husband started investigating their daughter's death.

Though the actress' death was officially ruled an accident, after everything that's transpired since her passing, it's no surprise that lingering questions and suspicions remain.

Deaths of Brittany & Simon

[12]:

Death

At 8:00 am on December 20, 2009, the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to "a medical request"[33] at the Los Angeles home Murphy and Monjack shared. She had apparently collapsed in a bathroom.[5] Firefighters attempted to resuscitate Murphy on the scene. She was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she died at 10:04 after going into cardiac arrest.[5][33][34]

Shortly after her death, Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter told the Associated Press: "It appears to be natural."[8][35][36] An autopsy was performed the day after she died. Her death certificate listed the cause of death as "deferred".[37] On February 4, 2010, the Los Angeles County coroner stated that the primary cause of Murphy's death was pneumonia, with secondary factors of iron-deficiency anemia and multiple drug intoxication. On February 25, 2010, the coroner released a report stating that Murphy had been taking a range of over-the-counter and prescription medications, with the most likely reason being to treat a cold or respiratory infection. These included "elevated levels" of hydrocodone, acetaminophen, L-methamphetamine, and chlorpheniramine. All of the drugs were legal and the death was ruled to be an accident, but the report observed: "the possible adverse physiological effects of elevated levels of these medications cannot be discounted, especially in her weakened state."[1]

On December 24, 2009, Murphy was buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills.[38]

On May 23, 2010, her widower Simon Monjack was found dead at the same Hollywood Hills residence.[39] In July 2010, Los Angeles Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter stated that the cause of his death was acute pneumonia and severe anemia.[40] It was reported that the Los Angeles County Department of Health had considered toxic mold in their house as a possible cause of the deaths, but this was dismissed by Ed Winter, who stated that there were "no indicators" that mold was a factor.[41] Murphy's mother Sharon described the reports of mold contributing to the deaths as "absurd" and went on to state that inspecting the home for mold was never requested by the Health Department.[42] In December 2011, Sharon Murphy changed her stance, announcing that toxic mold was indeed what killed her daughter and son-in-law, and filed a lawsuit against the attorneys who represented her in an earlier suit against the builders of the home where her daughter and son-in-law died.[43]

On January 11, 2012, her father Angelo Bertolotti applied to the Superior Court of California requesting that the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office be required to hand over samples of his daughter's hair for independent testing.[44][45] The suit was dismissed on July 19, 2012, after Bertolotti failed to attend two separate hearings.[46]

In November 2013, Angelo Bertolotti claimed that a toxicology report showed that deliberate poisoning by heavy metals, including antimony and barium, was a possible cause of Brittany Murphy's death. In a 2014 interview with the Examiner, Bertolotti made it explicitly clear that he believed his ex-wife murdered their daughter.[47] Sharon Murphy described the claim as "a smear".[48][49]

Foundation

In January 2010, Murphy's mother, Sharon, and her widower, Simon Monjack, established the Brittany Murphy Foundation, a charitable fund for children's arts education, as well as supporting the USO and cancer research.[50][51]

The Foundation was launched on February 4, 2010, at a fundraising event at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills.[52] After a records search revealed that the foundation's not-for-profit status had not been filed, the foundation announced that it would refund any donations received and issued an official letter on the foundation's website. They stated that in an effort to get the foundation set up as quickly as possible, they had established it as a private foundation with plans to apply for nonprofit status later. However, they said that they had decided to wait until the foundation's nonprofit status was approved before going any further in order to truly honor Murphy and the foundation's charitable goals.[53]

On November 10, 2013, the Brittany Murphy Foundation was officially relaunched by her father Angelo Bertolotti, according to a press release posted at the foundation's website.[54]

Ref 47 alone, paints a truly morbid picture...

[26]:

~in the months following her untimely passing, the actress' death took a series of turns that not even the best screenwriters in Hollywood could have written. What started as an open-and-shut case transformed into anything but, and to this day, questions linger about what really happened in the chaotic days leading up to Murphy's death and in the controversial response that ensued.

The coroner said her death was preventable

When the cause of Murphy's death was revealed in February 2010, Assistant Chief Ed Winter of the Los Angeles coroner's office told People that the actress' death could have been prevented. "Murphy was planning on seeing a doctor, but she unfortunately passed away before she did," Winter said. "This was a case of a person with pneumonia who was anemic (having a low blood count) who was taking medication when she should've been getting medical treatment."

Winter confirmed that the primary cause of death was pneumonia and that no illegal drugs were found in her system. According to CNN, Murphy's death was officially ruled accidental. The "elevated levels" of over-the-counter and prescription drugs she had taken reportedly had adverse effects on her "weakened state."

Murphy's husband, producer Simon Monjack, told People that Murphy had visited a doctor and was on antibiotics, but Winter disputed Monjack's version of events, telling People that the last time Murphy saw a doctor was "awhile ago."

So who was telling the truth: the coroner's office or Murphy's husband?

Her husband had a questionable past

We'll be looking closer at Simon later on in this thread.

[26]:

Monjack and Sharon launched a sketchy charity

In February 2010, barely two months after Murphy's death, Monjack and Murphy's mother, Sharon Murphy, attempted to launch the Brittany Murphy Foundation by hosting a charity event. According to TMZ, Monjack raised suspicions when word got out that he was charging a donation of $1,000 per person just to attend. The situation became even shadier when Monjack abruptly cancelled the event and claimed there was "an illness in the family," the tab reported.

Two weeks later, TMZ reported that the Brittany Murphy Foundation had not filed the proper paperwork to be listed as a nonprofit organization, meaning it could not solicit charitable donations. As if things weren't fishy enough, when TMZ attempted to reach Monjack for comment, the foundation website went offline.~

Monjack died exactly the same way as Murphy

On May 23, 2010, Sharon found Monjack dead in Brittany's Hollywood home–where Sharon and Monjack had continued to live following Brittany's death.

~an autopsy revealed that he died of the exact same causes as Murphy: "acute pneumonia and severe anemia." The only difference was that Monjack's death reportedly didn't involve "drug intoxication."~

Monjack allegedly drained Brittany's bank accounts

Two months after Monjack's death, Murphy's former business manager, Jeffrey Morgenroth, told People that Monjack had allegedly drained Murphy's finances by 80 percent before he died.

"There were huge amounts of money in [Brittany's] pension plan and bank account, and all of that's gone," Morgenroth said. "I would see it on the statements. There was money being withdrawn by Simon, hundreds of thousands." Morgenroth's assistant also claimed that Monjack's mother ordered Brittany's mom to leave the Hollywood home that Sharon and Monjack had shared.

First Look International

[18]:

History

In 1980, Robert and Ellen Little founded Overseas Filmgroup as a film sales company for foreign markets. Overseas Filmgroup expanded towards film financing to give the company greater control over its output.

Films ranged from genre titles such as Blue Tiger (starring Virginia Madsen) and No Way Back (starring Russell Crowe) to art house films, including Antonia's Line, Mrs. Dalloway, The Secret of Roan Inish, Waking Ned Devine, and Titus.[1] In 1993, the company expanded towards North American distribution through its First Look Pictures subsidiary.[2]

In 1998, Overseas Filmgroup went public. Two years later, EUE/Screen Gems acquired a minority interest in the company. In January 2001, as part of a restructuring, Overseas Filmgroup and First Look Pictures became subsidiaries of First Look Media.[3] Overseas Filmgroup was eventually renamed First Look International.[4] Robert and Ellen Little left First Look in 2003.[1]

On July 29, 2005, after a merger with Canadian businessman Henry Winterstern's Capital Entertainment, the combined company became First Look Studios. Winterstern became CEO of First Look and shared the role as chairman with EUE/Screen Gems' Chris Cooney.[5] In November 2005, First Look acquired DEJ Productions from Blockbuster.

In March 2006, First Look acquired Ventura Distribution, a home video distribution company,[6] and acquired the domestic television syndication rights to fifty six films from Pinnacle Entertainment.[7] By 2006, First Look had a seven hundred film library to its name, and continued to add more with the financing of in house productions.[8] Henry Winterstern resigned from First Look in 2007. That March, Nu Image acquired controlling interest in First Look.[9] In November 2010, Millennium Entertainment acquired First Look's assets.[10]

[20. wiki: EUE/Screen Gems]:

Emphasis my own.

EUE/Screen Gems Ltd. is an American film and television studio production company that owns and operates facilities in Wilmington, North Carolina, Atlanta, Georgia, Miami, Florida and New York City. The company collaborates with other studios and producers for the development, production, marketing and distribution of entertainment for feature film, television, and digital content.

History

In 1965, Columbia Pictures acquired a fifty percent interest in the New York-based commercial production company EUE (Elliot, Unger and Elliot); Mike Elliot and brother Steve Elliot directed while William Unger handled the business end. The commercial company was incorporated into Screen Gems (the then television production division of Columbia Pictures) and renamed it "EUE/Screen Gems".

In 1982, Columbia Pictures was sold to Coca-Cola. At that time EUE/Screen Gems and the New York production facility were sold to longtime Columbia Pictures executive, George Cooney.

In 1984, producer Dino De Laurentiis purchased a studio facility in Wilmington. It operated under the name DEG (De Laurentiis Entertainment Group), until 1990 when it was purchased by Carolco Pictures.

In 1996, EUE/Screen Gems would acquire the Wilmington Studios from Carolco (which entered bankruptcy proceedings) and renamed it EUE/Screen Gems Studios. In May 2009 EUE/Screen Gems Studios opened a 10th "Dream Stage" in Wilmington. The studio is a 37,500-square-foot (3,480 m2) columnless structure with a 50x50x6 foot 90,000 gallon special effects water tank.

In 2010, EUE/Screen Gems signed a 50-year lease with the City of Atlanta, Georgia to use the historic Lakewood Fairgrounds as a film and TV production studio.[1] In addition to refurbishing and using the historic structures already on the property, the company has built a 37,500-square-foot (3,480 m2) sound stage. A number of television series, films and commercials have already been filmed, or are currently filmed, at the new studio.

In 2015, EUE/Screen Gems opened the Viacom International Studios in Miami, Florida.

[22. wiki: Alchemy (company)]:

History

Millennium Entertainment was 60% owned by production company Nu Image. Exclusive Media Group owned 20% and Prentice Capital owned the remaining stock.[4] Following its formation in 2010, the company marked its first noteworthy theatrical release in 2011 with Trust, starring Academy Award nominees Clive Owen, Catherine Keener, and Viola Davis.[5] Alchemy owns and operates[1] a film library consisting of over 1,000 titles, including Paris, Je’TAime, Transsiberian, and Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans, as well as the recent titles Elephant White, starring Djimon Hounsou and Kevin Bacon; Shadows and Lies, starring James Franco; and Blitz, starring Jason Statham.

Television series released by Alchemy include The Cosby Show, Baywatch, and A Different World. First Look Studios originally released all eight seasons of The Cosby Show, A Different World, and other shows on DVD, but they eventually filed bankruptcy in 2010.[6][7] Millennium Entertainment acquired all of First Look Studios’ assets, and continued to release them in the United States, Canada, Bermuda, and other U.S. Territories.[8] In April 2013, it was announced that Millennium Entertainment would be sold, and an investment company, Salem Partners, would assist in the sale.[4] In August 2014 the company's library and distribution assets had been sold to a consortium consisting of its current management and Virgo Investment Group. The new owners renamed the company Alchemy in January 2015, finally cutting ties to its former sister company Millennium Films.[9]

In July 2015 Alchemy acquired the film distribution assets of ANconnect and the digital film and television distributor Anderson Digital, both divisions of Anderson Media Corporation.[10] The transaction will result in the addition of 40 new employees to the existent 70 and expand the company's catalogue to over 1,300 films and 3,000 TV episodes.[11] In December 2015 Bill Lee exited the company as CEO.[12]

Bankruptcy

In February 2016 Alchemy laid off 40 employees, equaling 40% of the company's entire staff.[13][14] due to liquidity issues.[15] The company began selling off previously acquired films including The Lobster,[16] Free Fire,[17] and Mia Madre.[18] Lobster and Fire both sold to A24, while Madre was sold to Music Box Films.[19][20][21] Alchemy filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy on June 30, 2016.[22] All employees were released following the bankruptcy.[23][24]

Love and Other Disasters

[14. wiki: Love and Other Disasters]:

Love and Other Disasters is a 2006 romantic comedy produced by Ruby Film, Europa Corp. and Skyline Films presented at the Toronto International Film Festival. In 2008, it had its UK premiere in London as the gala screening for the BFI 22nd London Gay and Lesbian Film Festival. The director and producer were in attendance. Brittany Murphy portrays an assistant at British Vogue who is the catalyst for a group of young friends as they try to find love. OutFest 2007 presented the film as one of their features.

Distributed by: Europa Corp.

[15. wiki: EuropaCorp]:

History

Luc Besson began directing features with his film, Le Dernier Combat (1983). In 1985 he worked with Pierre-Ange Le Pogam for the first time on the movie Subway. Le Pogam was then Distribution Director at Gaumont. Subsequently, virtually all the films that Besson made with Gaumont between 1985 and 1999 topped the three-million ticket mark at the box office (e.g. The Big Blue (1988), Nikita (1990), Léon, The Fifth Element (1997) and The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc (1999)) Meanwhile, Le Pogam developed innovative promotional techniques at Gaumont, which he applied for the first time for Besson’s The Fifth Element (1997). This film was France’s biggest export success of all time until Taken 2 was released in 2012, which established a new record.[citation needed]

In 1997 Pierre-Ange Le Pogam became Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Gaumont. In September 2000 Besson and Le Pogam founded Europacorp.[2] This superseded Besson's earlier production company known as Films du Dauphin.

In July 2007 EuropaCorp successfully managed its IPO on Euronext Paris.[4]

In May 2008, the CSA, French authority for media regulation, selected the EuropaCorp TV project in its invitation to apply for a mobile TV channel in France.[citation needed]

In 2013 Lisa Ellzey, hitherto producer for Lions Gate and 20th Century Fox, was appointed as executive vice president of U.S. Motion Picture Production of EuropaCorp.[5]

In 2018, Besson was accused of rape by an actress who wishes to remain anonymous.[6] EuropaCorp stocks dropped 17% to just €2.31 ($2.70) after the rape allegation.[7]

International dimension

~Many international film stars have appeared in EuropaCorp productions: Jim Carrey, Penélope Cruz, Robert De Niro, David Duchovny, Morgan Freeman, Salma Hayek, Tommy Lee Jones, Jet Li, John Malkovich, Jason Statham, Brittany Murphy, Liam Neeson, Madonna, Ewan McGregor, Lou Reed, and others. Consequently, the films are usually shot in English.[15]~

The Dead Girl

[16. wiki: The Dead Girl]:

This article is about the 2006 film. For other uses, see Dead Girl (disambiguation).

The Dead Girl is a 2006 American drama thriller film written and directed by Karen Moncrieff, starring Brittany Murphy, Toni Collette, Rose Byrne and Marcia Gay Harden. The film was nominated for several 2007 Independent Spirit Awards including Best Feature and Best Director.[2] It is the story of a young woman's death and the people linked to her murder.~

Distributed by: First Look International

Sidenote: It should come as no surprise that First Look International can be linked to Mark Amin, via Millennium Entertainment;

Millennium Entertainment(as Millennium Films) was the distributor for the film Stonehearst Asylum starring Kate Beckinsale -- the production company for that film was Sobini Films, which is owned by Mark Amin. Also not surprising is that First Look Studios has ties to EUE/Screen Gems, whose parent company is Columbia Pictures -- Screen Gems is not only the distributor for the Underworld vampire movies starring Kate Beckinsale, it is also one of the production companies for the 1966 TV spot titled "Alice in Wonderland" / "What's a nice girl like you doing in a place like this?".

[18. wiki: First Look International]

Read the plot summary for The Dead Girl carefully, it may take a couple of reads to understand:

[16]:

Plot

The story is presented in five parts, each bearing a title:

  • The Stranger: Arden (Colette) lives with her abusive, invalid mother (Laurie). One day she discovers the naked body of a dead woman on the property. Arden becomes a minor celebrity, drawing the attention of Rudy (Ribisi), who tells her the dead woman is the victim of a serial killer preying on young women in the area. Rudy asks Arden out. Arden gets into a fight with her mother, which compels her to finally leave home. Arden has her date with Rudy. In the morning, Arden calls the police to report a woman (her mother) left alone at home.

  • The Sister: Leah (Byrne) is prepping the dead woman in the morgue when she notices a certain birthmark. Leah suspects that the dead woman is her sister, Jenny, who was taken from a nearby park fifteen years ago. She asks the sheriff to match the dental records. She is certain the dead woman is her missing sister, but Leah's parents (Steenburgen, Bruce Davison) refuse to believe that Jenny is dead. The sheriff delivers the test result: the dead woman is not Jenny. Therefore the episode title was a red herring.

  • The Wife: Ruth (Hurt) is angry that her husband, Carl (Nick Searcy), constantly leaves her alone night after night. The next morning, she discovers clothing, wallets, and ID's in ziplock bags inside a storage unit that is supposedly empty. She matches the IDs to names in the newspapers of a serial killer's victims. Carl comes back late at night with scratches on his neck. After another argument, he leaves the house to go to the car outside. He pulls a trash bag out of the trunk and goes to the storage unit. Ruth asks Carl if he knows anything about the missing women, and he says no. Later that night, Ruth enters the unit and pulls everything out. She drives to the police station, but doesn't follow through with her plan to present the evidence she found to the authorities; instead Ruth returns home to burn the evidence.

  • The Mother: The dead woman has been identified as Krista Kutcher. Melora (Harden), Krista's mother, is notified. Melora goes to Krista's previous house and finds Rosetta (Washington), Krista's former roommate. During a tense conversation with Rosetta, Melora learns that her daughter had been a prostitute, that she gave birth to a daughter, and that Melora's late husband had sexually abused her. The following day, Melora takes Krista's daughter home with her.

  • The Dead Girl: Krista (Murphy) buys her daughter a stuffed animal for her third birthday. One of her johns, Tarlow (Brolin), promises to drive her to Norwalk, where her daughter is, but he backs out at the last minute. Krista goes back to her room and finds Rosetta — implied to be her lover — severely beaten. Krista believes the culprit to be a man named Tommy (Dennis Keiffer). Krista vandalizes Tommy's car and, when he tries to stop her, she beats him up and leaves on a borrowed motorcycle. Krista calls Rosetta, and tearfully asks if Rosetta cares about her; Rosetta doesn't reply, and Krista hangs up, saddened and hurt. When the motorcycle breaks down on the highway, Krista hitches a ride from Carl. The film ends with Krista smiling, and happily talking about her daughter.

  • The name of the slain character, played by Brittany Murphy, is Krista Kutcher[16][19][film].
  • The only characters in the film to have their surname mentioned, are Krista and her mother(Melora)[16][19][film].
  • Krista was sexually abused at and/or before the age of 16, by her step-father, without her mother ever being aware[16][19][film].

Brittany Murphy

[12]:

Brittany Murphy-Monjack[2] (born Brittany Anne Bertolotti; November 10, 1977 – December 20, 2009), was an American actress and singer. A native of Atlanta, Murphy moved to Los Angeles as a teenager and pursued a career in acting. Her breakthrough role was as Tai Frasier in Clueless (1995), followed by supporting roles in independent films such as Freeway (1996) and Bongwater (1998). She made her stage debut in a Broadway production of Arthur Miller's A View from the Bridge in 1997, before appearing as Daisy Randone in Girl, Interrupted (1999) and as Lisa Swenson in Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999).

In the 2000s Murphy appeared in Don't Say a Word (2001) alongside Michael Douglas, and alongside Eminem in 8 Mile (2002), for which she gained critical recognition.[3] Her later roles included Riding in Cars with Boys (2001), Spun (2002), Uptown Girls (2003), Sin City (2005), and Happy Feet (2006). Murphy also voiced Luanne Platter on the animated television series King of the Hill (1997–2009). Her final film, Something Wicked, was released in April 2014.

In December 2009, Murphy died of pneumonia at the age of 32. When her widower Simon Monjack died from the same illness five months later, the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services considered toxic mold in their home as a possible cause for their deaths, but this was dismissed by the Coroner's Office. In 2011, Murphy's mother Sharon filed a lawsuit against the attorneys who represented her in an earlier suit against the builders of the home where her daughter and son-in-law died.

[13. wiki: Simon Monjack]

Before we look closer at the deaths, let's take some time to look at other movies Brittany Murphy starred in during 2006:

[12]:

Filmography

Year Title Role Notes
2006 Love and Other Disasters Emily "Jacks" Jackson
2006 Happy Feet Gloria Voice role
2006 The Dead Girl Krista Kutcher

Love and Other Disasters is quite interesting, because when reading about the distribution company, Europa Corp, we find ourselves looking at a connection to Lions Gate and thus Mark Amin & Harvey Weinstein -- these three will come up again later on.

More interesting than that -- in a morbid kind of way, though, is The Dead Girl. Looking at the plot for this movie(and having taken time to watch it), in retrospect, it reads almost as if a thinly veiled threat toward Brittany. If nothing else, it's a bit of a sick joke that the surname of the character she played(who ultimately is killed by a sex predator) is Kutcher -- keeping in mind that Brittany Murphy and Ashton Kutcher broke up approximately around April 2003. Incidentally, one source, supposedly close to Kutcher, allegedly claimed that Brittany's mother, Sharon Murphy, played a small role in the break up...

I'll cut this comment a bit short here, up next, we'll look closer at the two movies mentioned above.

Interesting, Vin...

"Plan B" definitely struck me as some sort of "on the nose" name for a production studio... I guess the question becomes "which came first?"

"Plan B Entertainment"

"Plan B contraceptive"

  • According to wikipedia, the Plan B emergency contraceptive was approved by the FDA in 1999; Berman's studio came first.
  • Also according to that same wikipedia article, Plan B was approved for persons aged 17 and younger, in 2006; after the founding of Plan B Entertainment, Inc. by Grey, Pitt and Aniston.
