I'd fight Bobby Fischer.

Yuke ago

Agreed. And we do have a problem with that here on Voat as well. Any falsehoods in our own arguments, info, memes etc., can be picked apart and used to destroy the whole argument that we are trying to press home.

solvire ago

I blame Mel Gibson for starting the first tarnish of the term "conspiracy theory"

AbyormenitePiranha ago

Oh that word was stared by a showbiz actor? Now I know it's a fraud.

Yuke ago

I think one day we might actually come to learn that psyops are actually quite commonplace. If you think of what it is, a psychological operation, and then think about the various intelligence outfits out there in the world, then factor in specialist units; for example, over here in the UK we have 77th Brigade doing their info/disinfo gig full-time, then you're looking at what is likely a hell of a lot of psyops covering all manner of things. It's basically the strangulation and redirection of truth, constantly.

Seventh_Jim ago

Advertising.

Yuke ago

Yep. I think it's far more widespread that people realize. Advertising, TV shows, film, etc., it is all influencing people all of the time. Even right here on Voat we have it. This is what a psyop is now; it is a way to influence people into doing or believing certain things so that they don't present a problem later on. It's very prominent in certain countries against certain regimes but it is also happening to us as well, but it takes a hell of a lot of waking up to realize that.

Waffle_ninja ago

“Conspiracy theorists” would be considered critical thinkers prior to WW1. Then the term was coined as a way to discredit anyone who thought outside of the box.

Thode with higher IQs tend to be more critical thinkers, as their brains are always processing information. Kids are great illustrators. Give a toddler a box, a spatuala, and a towel, and they will make their own game. Their heads are nothing but the words “why?” And “why not?”. It isn’t until public schooling that this gets suffocated with regurgitated information that attempts to retrain their brains to recite information rather than think about the why.

The1stLantern ago

You hardly need to be a genius to figure out whos pulling the strings. Just look to who you arent allowed to criticize.

RedditSuxBalls ago

Well, the thing is, you can't make fun of retarded people either - or at least it would be rude to - but that doesn't necessarily mean that retards run the world. Hang on a second. Fuck.

Yuke ago

Two parts to this, at least:

1.) Conspiracies obviously happen, so not believing that they do would make you a dumbass.

2.) The invention of the term "Conspiracy theory" was aimed at tarnishing actual conspiracies and conspiracy followers as a means of control, instead turning them into ridicule, largely without legitimate investigation.

So, it follows that anyone with at least a decent intellect, and one that doesn't follow the crowd, would be interested in the vast world of conspiracy. I would also hope that those with said, decent intellect, would be able to weed out the obvious falsehoods from the ones that have legs.

Hand_of_Node ago

Real or fake:

Sandy Hook

Moon landing

Flat earth

Q

Yuke ago

You asking me what I think they are?

Sandy Hook - Not a simple school shooting, fuckery afoot for sure.

Moon Landing - Faked (easier to fake and make everyone believe you landed, than to land)

Flat Earth - Horsehit

Q - I'm on the fence, but falling more towards it being horsehit, mainly because of how it's making people hang on Q drops, waiting for a superman to come and save them.

Hand_of_Node ago

It would be interesting to see a real or fake poll of voat users on maybe the top 20 or 30 CPs, and the arguments for and against.

Like on the moon landing, were the Russians and Chinese that far behind that they couldn't detect the fake, or were they in on it? Because they were our avowed enemies at the time, and in theory would have called that out in a heartbeat.

UnknownAlias365 ago

I remember growing up in Jewish Marxist indoctrination centers, or what normies call schools, and conspiracy theorists looked batshit crazy to me and I'd always get a good laugh out of it. But then when I started looking into it myself, I realized holy shit, they were telling the truth. I'm the crazy one believing this ridiculous 9/11 lie the whole time. So then when I came across other conspiracy theories, of course I laughed my ass off at first, then looked into it and, yep, sure enough, holy shit it's all true.

It's amazing (in a bad way) how we live such a lie that the truth seems fucking crazy until you look into it. Getting slowly redpilled late in highschool and into middle of college makes me realize how much the bluepilled retards live in such a different reality than actual reality.

They really meant it when they said truth hurts, because it does, and it hurts alot. Life is no longer fun when you see the lie as it is and find out the truth. All joy has been stripped from me and life is fucking boring when you aren't a delusional drooling idiot that never thinks for himself but lets the TV (or these days, Netflix, Facebook, etc.) think for him.

Yuke ago

Well put, and very true. It's difficult not to focus on what is true and the zombies reaction to it, but stick to believing in truth, it will win out in the end.

GoatyMcGoatface ago

Officially, a small earthquake brought down tower seven.

dbvapor ago

Where do you stand on Flat Earth? No pun intended.

Yuke ago

Me, personally, I think it's one of those falsehoods thrown in there to make legitimate conspiracies look false by default. And be sure that they do that. Reptilians etc. It's all to make it look ridiculous, and if you bring up some they'll always say something like "So...what about those reptilians, or the flat earth huh?"

Not for me.

dbvapor ago

I used to think that too. Have you researched the “proofs” on both sides?

Fateswebb ago

It's a psyop to discredit the actual real conspiracy theories.

dbvapor ago

Ok.. let me ask you this. Do you believe we went to the moon?

Fateswebb ago

No I do not and actually I feel I can prove with very simple evidence we did not.

There are tons and tons of evidence that we didn't...

But I'll fill you in on a very well kept secret..

About a year-ish ago they found cutting room floor film of them faking the moon landings.. most people have no clue it exists. Even the most well versed moon hoax theorists have no clue it's out there... So while there is TONS of supporting evidence and you can spend hours watching that, here is a smoking gun video that stars buzz Aldrin etc and what are they doing? Faking the moon mandings.

https://youtu.be/9itNFxuGrek

Astroqualia ago

The moon landing was fake, but using fake footage spliced together to seem legitimate is just hurting conspiracy theorists. Nice try, government shill, or idiot truther.

Fateswebb ago

The footage isn't fake jack ass. It quite literally shows buzz Aldrin taking his helmet off. And you call me a shill, maybe you should change the nic to astroglideia...

UnknownAlias365 ago

-- The guy who never looked into flat Earth, but will now say he did to try to prove me wrong.

Fateswebb ago

Oh I did too look into it, I don't discredit anything no matter how ridiculous without doing so. And yep it's very easy to disprove using simple logic. Nice try though.

dbvapor ago

Tell me about this simple logic.

Fateswebb ago

Well one real simple logic of it involves the map used to explain the flat Earth. There are a few but the basic gist is this....

I'll grab a picture to show how they explain the map first . Look at this..

This is a typical flat Earth model map.

https://img.purch.com/w/660/aHR0cDovL3d3dy5saXZlc2NpZW5jZS5jb20vaW1hZ2VzL2kvMDAwLzEwMS84NTMvb3JpZ2luYWwvZmxhdC1lYXJ0aC1tYXAuanBn

Now pick any flight you want of a decent distance and it's best shown if the flight is an East to West flight your taking... So let's use last Vegas to Miami as an example....

If you fly from Las Vegas to Miami the flight path takes you a specific route to get there and as you would guess the flight would well, fly mostly in a straight line to Miami.... You could look out the window of the plane and see the lanmarks or water etc.. but on a flat Earth map to go the same route you would constantly be banking, because the route is no longer straight but curved. But when your in the plane the plane flies level and not banked, and what's even stupider is why would you not just fly straight there instead of at a curve?

But even easier to observe is this...

In a flat Earth model the sun goes in a circle around the flat Earth.... As it has to in order to light the areas it lights and so when you observe the sunset and sunrise, you can clearly see that the sun rises out of the ground or sets into the ground...

But if the earth were flat it wouldn't fall into the horizon or rise up from it... It would actually just get smaller and circle around. It's even logical that it probably wouldn't disappear at all but just become smaller like a moon or a star.. but that just doesn't occur it sinks into the ground and disappears....

dbvapor ago

Ships “disappear” from our naked eyes but when using a zoom they come back into view. Also atmospheric conditions act like a lens and can make the sun look larger than it is. They’ve used actual lenses to recreate the effect. And what about the curvature? Supposed to be an 8” drop every mile but it hasn’t been observed. Mountains from over 100 miles away are still visible despite that they would be behind the curvature on the globe model. Check out infrared zoom camera experiments.

Fateswebb ago

But that's not true, that's just what flat earthers like to claim. The curvature absolutely can be observed. And seriously mountains? They're mountains dude.. of course you can see them from miles away....

Still you didn't refute my very simple logic, you just changed to other points the earthers try to use. But the curvature one is easily debunked man... It is observable.

UnknownAlias365 ago

but will now say he did to try to prove me wrong

You:

Oh I did too look into it, I don't discredit anything no matter how ridiculous without doing so

Yep, there it is! God damn it why am I always right? I'm a fucking psychic it seems.

Fateswebb ago

Your prediction was both that I didn't look into it, and that I would claim I did look into it. Dude either way you covered both bases so that no matter my response your prediction would be correct. Either I didn't look into it, or I did.. you predicted both scenarios. So FUCKING DUHHHH. That's like saying I predict you will answer yes or no, to a yes or no question then pretending you actually predicted something. Stupid ass fucking logic...

But the fact is, I did look into the claims and they're easily proven wrong. I did however notice you did ask me how. Because then to refute me, not only would it prove your prediction to be incrooext but it would also prove your theory to be incorrect about the Earth's shape. Or it would simply require you to throw logic out the window when I provide a logical refute to the claims.

Nice try but I'm much more intelligent than you're giving me credit for with your circular logic.

UnknownAlias365 ago

Your prediction was both that I didn't look into it, and that I would claim I did look into it.

Was I wrong? No I wasn't.

By the way, I didn't read the rest of your bullshit. I'm not arguing with some actual retard who wants to call himself redpilled and then instinctively believe everything the television (and all Masonic kikes with authority) tells him about space and Earth.

Fateswebb ago

Dude whatever I'll run fucking circles around your ass. You just don't want me making you look like an idiot, which good call. It's the first intelligent thing you've done on here thus far

UnknownAlias365 ago

Nah, you won't run circles around me, you'd sperg 50+ comments not proving a damn thing looking like a retard fool yourself, inbred. Go on now, you have NASA TV to watch. Then after mindlessly taking in the brainwashing from your TV, hop back on to voat and brag about how redpilled you are.

Fateswebb ago

Hah, you're so far off base I don't even know where to begin. At least now you're talking about a real conspiracy as most of what NASA says is fake....

UnknownAlias365 ago

That's cute. You lonely, you need a friend to talk to, is that why you're gonna keep this going 50+ long?

drj2 ago

fartyshorts ago

A bunch of BS that falls apart immediately and offers no answers to most questions.

dbvapor ago

TraditionalCode0 ago

Once I learned that when two or more parties make a plan, it's called a "Conspiracy THEORY (?)" and is patently false so I had to throw away all my history books. They were just FILLED with them. I couldn't find one single story in there that didn't involve collusion or conspiracy so history never really happened.

What a relief.

Privacy is becoming harder to find in the world. Today everyone, everywhere is monitored all the time, by everything from the close circuit recording system at the local store, to digital imaging systems at banks, the subway, and street corners.

Governments issue social security numbers, national insurance numbers, medicare numbers, ID numbers, passport numbers, tax numbers, and so on. Some governments even go as far as fingerprinting citizens, as part of the numbering regime.

Combine the two and governments have access to large pools of information about you and your lifestyle. The battle for privacy has long since been lost in the real world.

As more and more human activity becomes computerised, governments are scrambling to preserve and extend their powers in the era of the information age and beyond.

No one is saying that national security unimportant, that child pornographers should not be stopped, or that crimes should not be punished. It's just that the same tired catch phrases are used time and time again to diminish everyone’s rights. You might be thinking that your government will not abuse it's powers, and that your legal system guarantees your rights! WRONG, Project ECHELON[1] shows the extent to which major world governments have gone to invade everyone’s privacy. The UKUSA agreement between the U.S, U.K, Canada, Australia & New Zealand facilitated project ECHELON, which intercepts global phone calls, faxes, and email messages transmitted via satellites, if certain "key words" are detected the communication is recorded for later analysis by the intelligence agencies of the respective governments.

Theoretically global spying such as ECHELON is to combat "rouge nations" and "terrorists". However there is proof that the U.S government has used the system to spy on European and Japanese companies[3], and passed that sensitive information back to those companies U.S competitors, clearly winning a particular deal in the automobile or software industry cannot possibly have "National security implications". Multinational agreements such as Wassenaar[2] simply preserve and extend government surveillance and interception capabilities to the detriment of all the worlds citizens.

Strong Encryption is the mechanism with which to combat these intrusions, preserve your rights, and guarantee your freedoms into the information age and beyond.

<yawn> Just because you have a high IQ doesn't mean you're smart. It also doesn't mean that you have any kind of obligation to do anything with it.

Take @gabara. High IQ, best shitposter on the planet, isn't doing a fucking thing democrats would love.

RedditSuxBalls ago

Yeah. Even of you read half the stuff about Bobby Fischer it's pretty obvious that the guy was seriously unwell.

Did he really mentor Trump on this and teach him to play chess? I read that Barron is already a grand master, as well. Are his Zionist appointments just smoke and mirrors?

Edit: I really fucking hope so.

No. That was just an onion style shitpost.

What part? Trump heavily mentored by Fisher, or Barron being a grand master already?

According to who? I can't find a single source online.

Conspirologist ago

I definitely agree with him being scared more of Russia than US. Even if the US elite are still judeo-satanists, the judeo-satanists elite in Russia are even worse. After many comparisons, It become obvious to me that even if the elites are correlated, their average IQ's are still different.

HenryCabotLodge ago

I wonder how strange this belief is: "He had this weird belief that everything in the world was controlled by the hidden hand of the satanical secret world government."

Onefootwonder ago

Throwing "satanical" into everything is what gets a lot of rational theories stomped down. I would literally bet my life that there is a semi-secret world ruling class, but I can't just throw in satanical to make it seem even "better." Even when talking about Jews, I don't get why Satan is thrown in so often. They are just greedy and efficient at controlling populations to fullfil that greed.

UnknownAlias365 ago

But.. you do realize the elites literally perform satanic rituals, sacrifice children to the devil, worship the devil, etc. on the regular, right? That's... kinda why the word satanic gets tossed in there.

RollinDaGrassTyson ago

That thought is only concerning if you are christian or otherwise religious. Why would I care if powerful people sit around candles in the dark or whatever it is that satanic rituals entail?

UnknownAlias365 ago

Baby sacrifices and child raping isn't concerning to non Christians? That's news to me.

Onefootwonder ago

Of course. I'd bet my life on that too. Everything exists under the sun. It's just overly broad to add that to everything we don't like.

UnknownAlias365 ago

Yeah you're right, it's just a coincidence every powerful elite figure in the ruling class worships the devil, we just can't go around saying they all do, because logic.

He treated everyone with contempt, regarding them as nothing more that faceless functionaries to do what he wanted. He was granted asylum in Iceland, where he was considered a hero despite not being in any way Icelandic, and spent the last years of his life there living on the goodwill and generosity of his hosts, yet he showed absolutely no gratitude, only self-entitlement.

Everyone is focusing on the fact that he was a non-religious jew who despised other jews, which is all fine and good, and correctly saw 9/11 as the jewish perpetrated conspiracy it was, but his abrasive personality, his absolute egotism, and complete lack of empathy for even those who were close to him negate any other qualities he displayed or opinions he had.

So if anyone else wants to call me a jewish shill for not defending an anti-semitic jew, go right ahead, but do it for the right reason. Don't defend this piece of shit just because he said some of the right things.
