• Sliding is an effective mechanism used by shills - whereby they flood a forum with low value distracting content to 'slide' important content
• So lets not help the shills.

• Yes we know you're happy and it's great that we have a replacement for reddit, but feel free to add that sentiment below, rather than diluting our sub with more posts

Other things we need

• We need a safety thread, this whole domain of investigation is unsafe. If someone wants to write one up or link me to an archived version of the pizzagate ones that would be great.
• Would also be useful to get a thread on what to look for from shills, so we can see them and point them out easily.
• Might also be good to have a thread on voat vs reddit? cultural differences?

Investigative guides

• Never assume that info is safe captured once. Use redundancies, including pastebin, archive.is, waybackmachine and screenshotting. We never know what might be deleted or taken down.
• **We use http://sli.mg/ not imgur here. imgur has a strong affiliation with reddit. **
• Check link urls before you click them (hover over them and see what they read at the bottom of your browser). be critical of outside links that are unfamiliar

• JTRIG - Joint Threat Research Intelligence Group, Government planned Shilling

• Don't post info that could identify you
• Exercise critical thinking and judgement at all times, be skeptical but helpful
• Be kind to each other
• Save downvotes for shills
• Don't post distracting content or 'funnies'. Memes are ok when informative and used to spread a message, but not just to laugh at 'in jokes'
• Check out gab.ai - another independent platform that's kind of like a mix between reddit and twitter
