This is because online conversation is pretty pointless. It isn't going to resolve anything anymore than voting is...there is no political solution.

Nearly a third less posts with a marked drop-off in quality too. Not exactly good. I hope things get better.

Voat is noticeably different, but for me, and speaking only for myself, our online world is a shithole, a wasteland for turning easily distracted mind into jelly. Not one demanding perfection or purity in others, I'm just damn glad to find a couple places where people have at minimum a gut-level wish to see freedom and happiness in the world. Most of the posts I see in this site and in theirs show me that many hearts are in the right place, and I encourage this. Now go ahead and flame me if ya want. I'm tough enough to enjoy it.
