My PIA subscription just auto-renewed. I didn't even know my card was linked to it. -_-
ExpressVPN is a recommendation I've had from a goat. I'll give you more if you'd like the reasoning behind it, but I've been looking at Express for a while now, before the recommendation. PIA used to look like the best choice, but after being on Voat I don't want PIA anymore. Express from now on. I would advise not using PIA as well.

So... shady as fuck (((Kape))) buys PIA (LTM), they rebrand as Imperial Family and suddenly Edon appears as one of their projects. The inactive page links to the same site, it's in the code & Putt is MIA.
I figured something was fucked up, I mean if a site like the farms can stay up with all the shit Null's been through along with the fact that they've also been kicked off the payments processors as well.
Damn, things are making a lot more sense now. I'll spell it out a bit more tying in other stuff and tell me if I'm right.... his "angel" ended up becoming a business partner or having legal control to the source code, who then sold his interests or got involved in Edon/Kape, who are now making one an asset (this) that they own disappear. Do I about have that right?
And if so, what is the lesson here? Don't have fucking business partners on projects like this where you can lose everything? Sites like this must rely on donations so they can't get jewed in this way?

Owner got jewed into giving up the source code before the check cleared. Now Mosad aren't paying (surprise surprise) and they've gotten whatever exploit from the sourced they needed to get any user data they were after. Now that they're done the site is shutting down.
Do we have any reason to believe this, besides the timeline and what put said about the investor? I never really thought of voat as a real secure place to talk. I just don't care, and I come here anyways.

Anyone can start up a new site, but it will quickly become clear what it takes to run a "text only" site.
Bandwidth is not cheap, and text still takes up space.
Your best bet is to bite the bullet and choose an established site.
