why don't you "prove" it's not manipulated, link to some other posts which exceeded 1.88 votes/min for over 1/4 hour.

the only person who can really prove anything either way is the person with access to the server logs. Nothing anyone else offers here is actual proof, just evidence, assumption, or assertion. A good pile of evidence is pretty close to proof however, so give it a go!

yes, that's what I said. All anyone can do is build a mountain of anecdotal evidence that someone is manipulating votes, only server logs can provide canonical evidence.

All "we" can do is gather anecdotal evidence that votes appear to be manipulated. Voting patterns on certain posts are very different to normal organic voting on the site.

If this were my site I would have published the server logs as soon as this started. (if this were my site quite a few things would be different on the abuse handling side of things, because that's what I do for a living and I would apply everything I've learned in almost 20 years of abuse desk, but it's not my site and its owners have a different viewpoint, it's their site and they get to decide how it should run.)

it also occurs to me that a malicious 3rd party could cause loads of infighting by carefully targetting users with a botnet, find an existing argument and downvote the crap out of one side, who will naturally blame the other side for the downvotes. could also be done with upvotes, or a mixture of both. There's plenty of precedent for this sort of behaviour on uncensored forums, it's not so far different to the "usenet performance art" of the 1990s.

I am keeping as much of an open mind as I can, I'm saying what I see which is blatantly unnatural voting patterns, I'm not saying who is doing the voting because I can't see that. I can only see who appears to gain and who appears to lose.
