Should we have another rules discussion? Part of me thinks we should clear out mods and see what happens. A two week experiment? If it works clear the rules?

I actually think the rules are pretty good. I think its the interpreter of the rules that is the problem. The lead mod does not fit in. I think its that simple. If that does not solve it then maybe tinker with the rules? But the rules actually look decent to me. And to be honest with you I don't know if there are enough interested parties left in the sub to have a rules discussion that would be very meaningful, its that bad.

Do you know where to find other 'interested parties' and see if they'd be interested in coming back for a new rules/moderation discussion?

I don't think the rules are a problem in general.

The only thing I'd like to be changed is that OPs should have some time to fix a post, instead of deleting a post and require reposting.

Reason for this:

Often posts already have many comments when a mod deletes and asks to fix and repost.

Comments won't show on a repost, and discussions get interrupted by requiring to repost, even if its a minor issue that needs to be fixed.

I'd suggest to give OPs 30 minutes or so to fix, shouldn't they do so, delete and ask for repost.

This, of course, depends on whether the mods have the time to look at a post again in the given time period, I'm aware of this.

I believe a new rules thread has been started.

Well said, I think you should essentially post this over there.

Thank you, I will take a look and crosspost. Also, I will ping some PG people to join the discussion.

And to add, even if the board owners go, and the mods, the only way I think people would come back here is if some known users were put in charge that they thought would do a good job. Changing the names in the sidebar and keeping the same people won't work, too late for those games. This place is blowed the fuck up and there probably is no repair at this point, and to be straight up truthful, a lot of people think that was the goal all along, to blow this place up and stop the investigation. It is perfectly reasonable to people to be suspicious too.

Is vindicator no good also? I thought he seemed more well-liked.

Personally, I think the community does quite a lot on its own to divide itself. I think it's also rather possible that the mods (I'm talking specifically about the day-to-day mods) are trying to fight of what they see as shills, too.

I don't think anyone would be involved with PG if they didn't have a suspicious mind.

Yes, he is well-liked by the community. Some might beg to differ with me, but that's only natural - you'll never find a mod everybody will agree with.

I think what people appreciate the most is that he's sensitive in a good way, and that he's got emotional intelligence - two essentials if you're modding. Being smart is not enough.

Also, he's patient and takes the time to explain and to help people.

A much better mod than falcon. I disagree with vindicator on letting Q into the sub because it has created a lot of division in the sub and lets face it an anonymous person on the internet that claims Soros got kidnapped and locked up in Camp David, and then only to show up and heckle Trump at Davos, is not worthy to be in a sub that deals with child abuse. That is v/conspiracy or v/politics tier stuff. Soros isn't the only huge bag of lies to come out of the Q bag of lies. It does not belong here but to answer the question yes vindicator is a much better mod.

heygeorge ago

I don't really follow the Q stuff, so I can't verify or deny your specific claims.

This may be a good thing to put in the rules discussion, if you're going to add to that.

Were you around when PG first moved to Voat?

I watched it as it happened but at the time I was not posting here.

I'm still in touch with some but most I don't know how to contact. Some went to steemit and youtube and I might be able to find some of those, but some I would not be able to find because I don't know what their steemit names are. But honestly, no shit, I don't think they care enough to get involved with the situation with the same board owners and mods here. Hell, i'm so burned out on it I am not even sure I would go through it. I mean, look what happened in this thread. Same bullshit of "i am always right, you are always wrong, fuck you we don't care what you think, and fuck off to Redditt." Nobody wants to tolerate that, including me. If there is a discussion on the rules what incentive do I have to even participate with these same people here? They don't give a damn what anybody thinks and they said so many times in this thread. We can discuss until the cows come home and they will just do the same shit.

Some of what you're referring to is what I think of as... Crensch being Crensch. You're referring to plurality of people, but in reality are talking about one user.

I think a rules thread has been started.

Unacceptable.

I think a rules thread has been started.

Not for me. That is just @crensch bait.
