Mnuchin teamed up with filmmaker Brett Ratner and Australian businessman James Packer to merge his Dune Entertainment company with Ratner and Packer's newly founded RatPac Entertainment joint venture; resulting in RatPac-Dune Entertainment, which then struck a financing deal with Warner Bros.

Ratner has been accused of rape and sexual assault by several women.

Steven Mnuchin was involved in Relativity Media, who had connections to Deutsche Bank, and later Ron Burkle.
