So I'm a huge gamer and always have been. I've played through many games over my life and genres. I've played through Action, RPG, RTS, FPS, TPS, horror, comedy, all kinds etc.

I've played through my fair share of horror games. From Doom and F.E.A.R. and System Shock to Resident Evil and Dead Space. However I've noticed something now. Like movies, video games are starting to become more and more depraved. Not your usual horror involving monsters or zombies or slashers but more and more full on depraved. I wrote about the disgusting Outlast 2 that came out last year. The game had mutilated children and infant corpses everywhere. There were notes in the game in full detail describing the rape, torture, and murder of children. At one point you walk across a pit of charred babies.

This year the disgusting game "Agony" comes out where you play as a soul in hell trying to get out. It also features child and baby murder and torture.

Now two days ago a game called "Lust for Darkness" is announced by a studio called "Lunar Cult Studios". It's a Eyes Wide Open style game of a depraved cult who perform occult and ritual abuse. They send you to a hellish world using an occult ritual where every perverse sin and desire available is encouraged.

So this video game is about pure depravity and occult sexual torture. I have a feeling pedophilia and snuff are going to be a big part of this game. Cannibalism/drinking of blood is featured in the trailer. Child murder and rape and starting to become horror themes in games and movies and it's being pushed. Like I said, monsters, killers, zombies, aliens, demons any of that is your standard horror fare in gaming. Now it's starting to become more and more occult, with depraved and horrific themes starting to become more prevalent. As a long time gamer I can see where the industry is heading and it's NOT ok. They are pushing this on the video game industry now.
