Hi Guys.

Just want to say I'm really proud of how far we've come as a group of people. So many quality posts, and great critical thinking, calling out shills and using your downvotes and upvotes.

I'm stepping down as 'main' mod of this sub

So I got a bit burnt out in the transition of this sub. It was a bit of a shitstorm but with the help of /v/protectvoat, @crensch, @kevdude and my new mods we are currently in a relatively stable state.

I am unable to keep modding this sub with the level of effort that it requires from a 'leader' level mod, and this coupled with personal changes means I need to step away.

To this end I have searched for a trustworthy and intelligent mod team. I sourced my choices from within the community - I did not accept anyone who requested a moderator position. So far they have all acted excellently.

Feel free to check out the list of mods below, or our sub that we discuss how to moderate pizzagate on.

As outlined in the below link., I will be staying on as an owner along with 2 other owners as a 3-way redundancy effort.

A separate sub for moderators and advisors to discuss meta concerns re moderation of this sub

All pings (@username) to get attention going forward should go to one of the other moderators. Ping at least 2 moderators

On Shills

  1. There are shills trying to slide and dilute our content here
  2. They are either buying votes or farming votes so they can downvote/upvote against our interests
  3. It is very difficult for you guys to combat this other than being very critical of everything, and downvoting any low quality, clickbaity posts to oblivion
  4. The only things we can do at the moment is hold posts accountable to the rules
  5. We are trying to figure out how to combat shills in other ways, stand by for some more plans

Thank you for your work. Great to have this place now that reddit has turned full pedo protector.

Also want to say that I am not really that worried about the obvious CTR shills. People can smell these vermin from a mile away by now, after being spammed and pestered by them through the whole election process. The dumb shills will fail once again - just like they failed massively at getting the "inevitable" pant suit elected, lmao.

About shills - I'm being called one here https://voat.co/v/pizzagate/1468285 it may be true I don't know, but I found the post misleading.

I am Sentastixc there. I logged in with this account because I was blocked(?) from posting here, saying "Please try that again in 30 seconds" over and over and over again.

If I'm not a shill, here is an idea how to battle shills:

Apart from downvoting disinfo, you veterans should also consider upvoting commenters who seem legitimate. There are loads and loads of them around without the rights to even downvote (100 comment points).

RECRUIT YOUR LEGION

EDIT: You see Trump and part of the alternative media move away from Pizzagate. These are tactics. It is too dangerous to run with this right now, while the whole system of law enforcement is still run by the people accused in the material. They(the accused) want us to continue flood the internet with Memes and posters and superficial rage-discussion. Those are the things pushed to Hot and Top. So they can really give their spin on this before the inauguration.
