On Shills and the past couple of days

Shills are real. For anyone who doesn't know what a shill is, they are someone paid to disrupt or influence online discourse. For examples of shills admitting their operations see here - http://archive.is/6JSUX

We've had a lot of these thrown at us in the past few days and we've managed to weather it in an ok fashion. I'm really proud of you guys as you're starting to be able to distinguish the shillery and downvote the shit-tier posts.

The correct response to shills is to ignore and downvote.

Also, this is a call to arms for everyone here. Please use your voats to help keep this place healthy. The less moderation has to be done, the better it is for all of us.

Need your input - should we set a minimum subverse CCP?

In the subverse settings, we can set a minimum CCP that people have to get in our sub before they can downvote in our sub.

This means that both new accounts and existing voaters have to contribute and get upvotes in /v/pizzagate before they can start downvoting our submissions.

The only downside is that this will remove us from the front page of voat.

Initially I didnt think this was a good idea as we were such a new community, but I think we have our footing now and this could help us with 'paid downvotes' and bots as well as shills cycling through new accounts or buying existing voat accounts.

what would be more in the moment would be to create

a clintongate

so both efforts could focus on their respective tasks.

i mean yes, they're linked

but in terms of prosecution i think likely successful jail terms will come from separate lines of inquiry, thus investigations should be focused properly. a team for each, as it were. even just getting clinton on RICO would be fucking fantastic at this point. the pizza ring.. you have to understand, touches all corners of the globe, from the trillionaires down to the sex slaves and destitute... this is like... taking down the clintons is taking an apple off the tree....taking down the elite pedo ring is like taking down a nation of apple orchards...

i don't say this because of an issue... i don't see clintongate messing up pizzagate nor vice versa... i DO see a LACK of a clintongate! and there are so many new fucking people here i think there's plenty of elbow grease to go around....
