Starts with garbage piling up in cities. And super rats (which comedian played by De Nero said will be dealt with by "super cats"). At one point everyone in public's in a clown mask, like the streets today (just they're "medical" masks).
Divide between the rich and poor is highlighted, like it is in the riots I watched yesterday and today.
Full lyrics, as he's dancing in his underwear: "You're riding high in April, shot down in May. But I know I'm gonna change that tune, when I'm back on top, back on top in June."
It helps to pause it every once in a while, to break up the rhythm of the "heartbeat programming" and the likely-inevitable-for-now "fear tone". I also just said the Lord's Prayer; am now 15 minutes from the end, he's in the cop car.
This is such a slow fucking movie (now 12 minutes from the end). I watched "Frozen" a few years ago; not the animated movie, the horror one, two guys and a girl trapped on a ski lift. Perhaps in both cases because I had smoked a bit, but, my heart seems to beat quicker and also the movie seems to drag on and on and on; this doesn't happen with all movies, even others in the horror genre. I had looked at the time at 1:25 in, and then at 1:30 in it seemed like fifteen minutes had passed!
I guess I don't really, at all, like the "film noir" form.
Anyway at this point everyone's in a clown mask and breaking shit -- definitely a projection of Anitfa's actions these past few days!
Hope that's not a spoiler; marked as such just in case. :)
I watched a few videos today of cop cars being destroyed. One of them, they had cut the brake lines, and used it as a missile! Five or so pushed it while one standing steered it out of the line of parked cruisers which the cops had just left there for some reason and backed away, hmmm, anyway and he steered it around the parked ones and sent it down the line -- several cops had to jump out of the way, not knowing it wasn't being driven!
Again, seems like this movie was predictive programming. I generally don't like to watch violence; just last evening I was telling my wife I didn't want to watch any of the videos, I'll be happy to just read about them. Well, I overcame that fear after that talk, and watched a few last night, and more today.
I certainly don't want to be involved in any of those altercations, and I also get the hearbeat rush from watching them which I don't particularly enjoy, just sitting here with no "outlet" although I should use the jogging machine more often. Anyway.
One producer was Bradley Cooper; he did a much better job with Limitless, although the TV show kinda jumped the shark in the "dream with funny voices" episode.
The slow songs make it longer as well; now I'm in the credits, 4 minutes from the end, so ready for it to be over but there might be an "extra scene" at the end, thanks to Ferris Bueller. Nope, there wasn't.
Conclusion: messed up movie, describing why he's messed up. Not something I need to see again, but it was worth watching for the research, just as I feel it was worth watching the riots last night and today.
God bless and stay safe. Hoping that tonight's the night, they're going down; timber! -- but, no idea how much ammo is left, so be well and if you choose pray for a positive outcome.

You read my mind.

The wife had no interest in watching it, so I watched it downstairs while she was upstairs.
At one point she went to the bathroom, and the creaking of the house gave me pause.
Last night, I stayed up until 4 am with a window open, and silence in the house and was confident I could hear an approacher. Tonight, it's colder, and also was watching the movie so didn't want the window open and the sound of it escaping, as it was after midnight.
Anyway, when she walked I had to pause it, and listen intently; get up and look out the windows (lights are constantly on and have been before all this, so "our behavior hasn't changed" and we have a good view), before I continued the movie.
Head on a swivel, patriot. God bless.
