So in C# how easy is it for someone outside to gain access to the code base and dox users? I am just trying to understand this thread better. Are there special permissions in place? How easy is it?
I would probably be able to answer my own questions given enough time but this just isn’t always available to me.

This is a very good question, I don’t know. Clearly, I have always been the type of person that is not bothered about cliques and rather befriends all different types of personalities. I can see the merit of it and have learnt so much from so many different types of people. I do think the theatre and drama these last few months was tiring and often stepped over the line of fun and silliness though which is not how I perceived it to be. I still feel like I know so very little about the actual dynamics of Voat.
I participate on all three sites and can verify that there is a good bit of divergence across the board. As far as trust goes, I try to keep it to a minimum and my expectations low.
When I was looking for an alternative to reddit voat popped up. Okay cool. Lots of similar people. Then I saw poal, kinda not into poal. And now phuks, not for me. But why have so many off shoot versions? Money I guess.
Phuks started (at least if you asked them at the time) because they no longer liked Voat. I tried it for a bit, but it didnt feel right for me(and their color scheme made my eyes bleed). Poal started from a Voat downtime. PMYB decided to make a Voat backup site, and forked Phuks. Ive used Poal and overall its just not for me(ive made my feelings known in the past and dont feel like rehashing it). It looks better than Phuks at the very least. And I think it has more and better features than the last time I visited Phuks(although thats been awhile)and honestly Voat as well(Poaltube, a chat). But than again theres plenty about it I dont like and prefer to stay here.
All that to really say, I dont think either turn a profit at this point. I think the schisms are largely personality driven.
