You guys know the Voat drill when Reddit bans something:
Single file lines!
Voat is too broke to get real servers so we must take turns. We must act civilized and share in an orderly fashion or else it just ends up looking like a Black Friday nightmare around here and no one wants that.
So pick your time slot and stick to it, no cheating. Everyone has a 30 second window to Voat. Go.
Sorry about the downtime and slow responses, it's the best we have in Free Speechland at the moment.
Edit:
I hate receiving donations for a few reasons but here is Voat's BTC address if you feel called to donate: 3NZvuAk3Csf1UP1KCmzN9dhiXTwvhTgr9k. Please only donate if you have the means.

Old question but by any chance we can support you in some way? Appreciate taking money for running an 'edgy' site has its own complications.

What if you had to buy downvotes to spend?

The problem isn't a lack of ways to make money but rather the inability to accept money through payment processors. We've basically been blackballed from the most common ways to process digital payment.

What if you sold traditional merch (t-shirts, hats) via some established merchant? Even at low volume you could sell a hat for $50 and take in say $25 of donation money after costs and their markup? Package the hat with a keycode that gives a account that enters it a year of "voat gold" that confers some small benefit. Sell a $100 hoodie with a lifetime membership.
The NPR model.

And how would you send that merchant money?
Through the payment processors who already used their influence to shut Voat and others out of other options.
It would go on for maybe a couple of weeks and then the merchant would get a call from Visa saying "pull this product or you won't be able to process Visa transactions anymore thus cutting off half your potential business"

If you have an Amazon merch account you can set your prices. This could work for a while.

Until they arbitrarily declare your merchandise "offensive" and remove it without communication or recourse. https://www.infowars.com/fahrenheit-2018-amazon-begins-banning-controversial-books/
