never thought id make a voat account but here we are. does anyone else realize how big the implications of this are? Reddit is willing to lose alot of its user base just to push an agenda. They really are out to get us.

Reddit peaked in 2014, bots and scripts have been holding the site together since then. It's why they hide most of the site data. It probably also drives them insane that the Donald Trump sub is still the one of the most active large subs on the site. Because most of us have litterally been quarantined from a good portion of the site by auto-banning scripts just for posting in the Donald.

If you're looking for some alt subs I might be able to help, just ask.

I’m looking for somewhere without all the memes and anger if that’s something we have going on.

Well maybe these can help you out.

You're probably right. Here's some info I found today after hearing about /r/conspiracy . 2013, Reddit removes blog post saying Eglin Airbase is the most addicted "city". Here's a paper about Eglin being used as part of a program testing the power of online astroturfing/propaganda: http://arxiv.org/pdf/1402.5644.pdf

Coohincidence?

Yep. And /thegreatawakening was on its way to be as large. I joined when there were only a few hundred subscribers (/cbts was still active). I grabbed a screen shot from yesterday morning and there were 71,034 subscribers on tga. We were growing exponentially.

Snap_Shot_in_Time ago

Yes... Except that 70K isn't real. Q posted and said the number was really 297K. Think about it... r/GreatAwakening was 4x bigger than they admitted. And it was still growing fast.

Manta537 ago

Agree on the numbers. Just meant what was shown.

think big.........shills, bots, AI algos............i had old reddit lines open for a week.....my computer went 'down' last night, and restore brought zero.....they have a bot algo scrubbing the OPs one by one? need to invent kek language

binturner ago

I think a lot of trolls and shills invaded. Possibly caused trouble with repeated down votes

I’ve always thought that the actual population of organic users has dropped and any increase in users/activities were either bots or paid shills.

I think what happened is PAC’s and political billionaires started covering Reddit’s losses and making them look profitable. This has radicalized any left leaning organic users on the site, basically turning them into repeater bots themselves.

It's very noticeable when you look at /r/videos submissions. In the 2010 - 2012 range there would be hundreds of at least watchable videos submitted every hour with the top posts rapidly gaining thousands of up-votes. Now it's just a pathetic shadow of what it once was. IAMA is another serious indicator of the lack of organic growth and how little engagement there is now.
