You guys know the Voat drill when Reddit bans something:
Single file lines!
Voat is too broke to get real servers so we must take turns. We must act civilized and share in an orderly fashion or else it just ends up looking like a Black Friday nightmare around here and no one wants that.
So pick your time slot and stick to it, no cheating. Everyone has a 30 second window to Voat. Go.
Sorry about the downtime and slow responses, it's the best we have in Free Speechland at the moment.
Edit:
I hate receiving donations for a few reasons but here is Voat's BTC address if you feel called to donate: 3NZvuAk3Csf1UP1KCmzN9dhiXTwvhTgr9k. Please only donate if you have the means.

never thought id make a voat account but here we are. does anyone else realize how big the implications of this are? Reddit is willing to lose alot of its user base just to push an agenda. They really are out to get us.

The whole internet is in the process of being systematically censored and this process has gone along with a strong push toward corporate consolidation of the web. It's literally being remade in front of us. In truth this was going on since the Obama days (remember SOPA etc, that's when I remember a lot of things changing, around 2011-2012). But the censorship went to 11 since after the election. It was always planned. The political establishment, Silicon Valley and many large US corporations are all of one mind here - an open and free internet is not to be allowed.

Is C_A funding Reddit?

We were never part of their agenda, they took the red pill but prefer baal.

What's the best way to notify people of the new voat location? I found out about it thru qmap.pub but idk how many people go there.
RoundWheel ago
Reddit's entire business model is to push an agenda. Perception and propaganda is literally their business model.

You're surprised? The American midterm elections are coming up, baby. We knew this was around the corner.

Just when my super moderate, just right-of-center Baby Boomer parents and their friends were starting to visit /r/TheGreatAwakening everyday.
I'm sorta enjoying the fact they all now think this is 1000% more real than they did before.
KEEP THE MEMES FLOWING SOLDIERS.

Thank you Voat, so glad we are here. WWG1WGA

Now you realize what the jews actually do with their money once they have it.

No shit, where were you three years ago?
wrathfulmomes ago
Their agenda includes pushing people to increasingly marginalized "alternative" sites with extremists (actual neo-nazis, actual conspiracy wackos, overt racists, sexists, and general scum or crazy people). Then anyone who doesn't want to buy in to the leftist websites is one of "them".
Keywest ago
All 300,000 of us. I really did think they were fudging numbers just like the 6 million T_D subs.
Maltherian1 ago
It was obvious they were headed down the path of censorship when fph was banned.
BaldMiscreant ago
What stopped you before this, if I may ask? It's great here.
Butler_crosley ago
Used to be better here. Now debates quickly devolve into name calling.
BaldMiscreant ago
You're not entirely wrong, but this is a community driven site- be the change you want to see.

reddit has no more real people. all bots.
Dark_Shroud ago
Reddit peaked in 2014, bots and scripts have been holding the site together since then. It's why they hide most of the site data. It probably also drives them insane that the Donald Trump sub is still the one of the most active large subs on the site. Because most of us have litterally been quarantined from a good portion of the site by auto-banning scripts just for posting in the Donald.
If you're looking for some alt subs I might be able to help, just ask.
GreenPie202 ago
I’m looking for somewhere without all the memes and anger if that’s something we have going on.
Dark_Shroud ago
Well maybe these can help you out.

You're probably right. Here's some info I found today after hearing about /r/conspiracy . 2013, Reddit removes blog post saying Eglin Airbase is the most addicted "city". Here's a paper about Eglin being used as part of a program testing the power of online astroturfing/propaganda: http://arxiv.org/pdf/1402.5644.pdf
Coohincidence?
Manta537 ago
Yep. And /thegreatawakening was on its way to be as large. I joined when there were only a few hundred subscribers (/cbts was still active). I grabbed a screen shot from yesterday morning and there were 71,034 subscribers on tga. We were growing exponentially.
Snap_Shot_in_Time ago
Yes... Except that 70K isn't real. Q posted and said the number was really 297K. Think about it... r/GreatAwakening was 4x bigger than they admitted. And it was still growing fast.
Manta537 ago
Agree on the numbers. Just meant what was shown.

think big.........shills, bots, AI algos............i had old reddit lines open for a week.....my computer went 'down' last night, and restore brought zero.....they have a bot algo scrubbing the OPs one by one? need to invent kek language
binturner ago
I think a lot of trolls and shills invaded. Possibly caused trouble with repeated down votes
AlphaOmega ago
I’ve always thought that the actual population of organic users has dropped and any increase in users/activities were either bots or paid shills.
I think what happened is PAC’s and political billionaires started covering Reddit’s losses and making them look profitable. This has radicalized any left leaning organic users on the site, basically turning them into repeater bots themselves.
bluedeath ago
It's very noticeable when you look at /r/videos submissions. In the 2010 - 2012 range there would be hundreds of at least watchable videos submitted every hour with the top posts rapidly gaining thousands of up-votes. Now it's just a pathetic shadow of what it once was. IAMA is another serious indicator of the lack of organic growth and how little engagement there is now.
shrink ago
This is not exactly surprising, we've all known this would happen for a long time. TPTB are perfectly okay with burning money at a loss if it means pushing the propaganda and/or controlling the narrative and information. It isn't just plebbit, either, it's big tech as a whole, and the reasons for (((why this is the case))) will become evident if you don't already know.
SGM11Z ago
Obviously, Reddit doesn't care. You can cancel your WaPo subscription too, and they won't care ether. Neither does Nike or Dick's sporting goods, or really anyone. Welcome to the new world order where you don't matter and they don't care....which WHY WE ELECTED DONALD TRUMP!!! Keep it up dummies....

I only saw that video six months ago. WOW, was he dead on. I always liked him, but after seeing that, I was really sad that he's gone.

Starbucks, NFL, ESPN and now Levi's just don't care about business any more. Google/YouTube doesn't care about revenue. It's pretty amazing.
