We are working on getting rules up, which will be amended since thankfully we are no longer under Reddit's thumb.

This will continue to be a place for civil discourse. Uncivil discussion will be removed - it derails threads and can be harmful to the cause due to turning off normies. We are here to fulfill Q's mission. Not worry about people's fee-fees.

I would really try to let some of the trolling pass without an outright ban though. Weve only been here a day and in my experience it could calm down after a while once things settle. If we bannhammer too hard it may keep it going longer than it needs to. A lot of these voat veterans have culture shock and so do we but i have a feeling things can reach a great balance if we are diplomatic with one another.

dunklederf ago

well over EIGHT PAGES of bans and deletions.

you fucking jews have accumulated more bans and deletions in one fucking day than ALL OF VOAT COMBINED OVER FOUR YEARS.

you people are a fucking blight.

i'm sure this post will get removed REAL quick too, you sneaky merchant.

FrozenFire74 ago

With the official rules soon to be implemented, will there be anything to protect the community from heavy handed Mods?

high-valyrian ago

Like a Glock? Or a rottweiler? Sorry, I'll need a more defined question.

FrozenFire74 ago

Then I guess I'll need a more detailed description of when 'calling out a Mod' is a bannable offense, like Mod @DropGun used to ban multiple users, before I can give a more defined question. I dont mean that to come across as snarky and if it does my apologies.

White_pride_cis ago

I heard that @dropgun and @doom1776 are faggot shills who swap cheese pizza with other Marxist’s

LostandFound ago

Its voat theres always going to be inflamitory users, I welcome the changes you have put forward though and while this is a very rare case I agree with you in terms of some of the submissions needing to be removed. In their defence we tried reason and got no reply so there was only madness left to play with.

FrozenFire74 ago

I've seen all the hate for this sub and because of that I wanted to get the perspective from the mods if I could about what was going on exactly. The Ban Logs and their explanations for bans seem counterproductive to the Voat platform, but maybe that's due to the lack of evidence. I'm most concerned about what all 'Calling out Mods' entails and what exactly they are trying to prevent by that restriction.

Mylon ago

I love voat's public modlogs.

FrozenFire74 ago

It appears that the Mod @DropGun has banned users, and has cited the reason as being 'Calling Out Mods'. What exactly did these users claim about him/her to get banned?

LostandFound ago

Sorry your not a newb at all you know about the logs doh! I see a few in there calling mods faggots on the submission logs but without pinging the users I cannot be 100% sure.

FrozenFire74 ago

I'm not a newb to Voat in general, but I know little to nothing about the story about this sub and what's going on exactly. The front page is riddled with post about this sub and I want to find out for myself what the perceived controversy is here.

SRS-Airbag ago

Then lurk moar.

LostandFound ago

This is a sub dedicated to following Q and spreading 'red pills'. The main issues here are as follows;

  1. Minimum ccp score to downvoat

  2. Active upvoat me posts

  3. Hidden from v/all and new due to point 1

  4. Censorship happy mods

Theres a few reasons to call out the mods and get banned it seems currently.

Some clarity would be nice VOATers.

Contrary to @high-valyrian's comment, Voat is not "trying to make us leave Voat." Voat and especially the /v/GreatAwakening is thrilled that this is the safe harbor (for now). The anger comes from the turf war, mod reaction, continued embracement of pro-censorship/pro-Reddit mod policies, the carry over of mods from Reddit where even Q has acknowledged some are compromised, isolation of /v/theawakening from the rest of the community (preventing it from ever appearing on /v/all - thusly reducing visibility), and apparently baseless claims that the /v/GreatAwakening mods can't be trusted given that the community and logs are of themselves available for review. All of which paints a very negative picture of mods who make statements of, "trying to make us leave Voat."

Additionally I've directly asked high-valyrian to at least explain some of their decisions and so far has not provided any answer. This combined with mischaracterization gives rise to serious concern about everything related to the mods and the community they now control.

Honestly not trying to be a dick or disruptive but it is certainly not as simple or clear as what high-valyrian is painting.

I sincerely hope he or other mods engage and explain and even justify the very questionable statements, actions, and policies they have put in place. Not exactly an unreasonable request.

At the very least @QArmy, I hope this provides some food for thought.

Thanks brother

You have not contacted me in the slightest outside this comment, but by all means, continue spouting disinformation.

Go check the notables on qresearch from yesterday about v/GreatAwakening. Bye now.

NoisyCricket ago

I have no idea why you would blatantly lie. You can check my own comments and clearly see I reached out to you before this comment.

high-valyrian ago

V/greatawakening existed previously but we have no way of knowing who runs that community or what the agenda is. They are now trying to make us leave Voat.

We are the same group from Reddit assisted by board owner and BVs at 8chan.

NoisyCricket ago

Do you feel like addressing any of the other legitimate points I raise. Thus far your answer is not be exactly honest.

Thisismyvoatusername ago

Why would it matter who runs that community? If they actually have an agenda, then it would become immediately apparent as soon as they chose to remove submissions, ban users or sticky certain posts over others. There are only a few subs on Voat where mods do that at all. The only reason most mod action is taken on Voat is to address site rules such as deleting true spam or,illegal content, not just things people don’t like.

If that sub turned out to be modded by a troll or a leftist (but I repeat myself), then is when you make a new sub. By making a new one in the first place and then engaging in heavy modding, it is being demonstrated that this is not a community driven sub, but a mod driven one. Mod driven fora are the reason reddit sucks so bad (well that and the same issue with their admins, obviously).

I’ll be honest, I don’t really care what you guys do here in this sub, but it seems odd to me for people to see how fucked up reddit is and then to repeat reddit’s mistakes here.

NoisyCricket ago

Exactly right. And they could check the logs and what has been posted and discussed. Literally the only thing susspicious which is going on around here is high-valyrian's dishonest answer (as it was already addressed) and their overall behavior to isolate everything here.

It certainly doesn't help that the person who created this whole problem, Neon Revolt, has endorsed these guys even though we know at least some of those mods are compromised. Which also gives legitimate cause to no be concerned about Neon Revolt. Though it's possible he's just an idiot and simply didn't bother to think about anyone but himself and his friends. Worth pointing out, Neon may well be one of these mods.

RoundWheel ago

Except we already know that position is completely false.
