11....The situation descended into civil war, in which NATO intervened militarily on the side of the anti-Gaddafist National Transitional Council (NTC). The government was overthrown and Gaddafi retreated to Sirte, only to be captured and killed by NTC militants

Maintaining his interest in Arab nationalist activism, he refused to join any of the banned political parties active in the city—including the Arab Nationalist Movement, the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party, and the Muslim Brotherhood—claiming that he rejected factionalism

Gaddafi disliked England, claiming British Army officers racially insulted him and finding it difficult adjusting to the country's culture; asserting his Arab identity in London, he walked around Piccadilly wearing traditional Libyan robes.[46] He later related that while he travelled to England believing it more advanced than Libya, he returned home "more confident and proud of our values, ideals and social character

Gaddafi was also frustrated by the slow pace of social reform on women's issues, and in 1979 launched a Revolutionary Women's Formation to replace the more gradualist Libyan General Women's Federation.[208] In 1978 he had established a Women's Military Academy in Tripoli, encouraging all women to enlist for training.[209] The measure was hugely controversial, and voted down by the GPC in February 1983. Gaddafi remained adamant, and when it was again voted down by the GPC in March 1984, he refused to abide by the decision, declaring that "he who opposes the training and emancipation of women is an agent of imperialism, whether he likes it or not

( this one is Great, History of Gadaffi's struggles to do right by his people and those that didn't want it)

Does me good

and this might piss some people off

but what has happened in Iraq and Libya, I'm on Syria's Bashar Al-Assad side, but didn't have the info to back it up

it's a battle of a takeover and the people trying to take it over are Evil

pissed a lot of people off with my thoughts, now I have ammo :)

also want to point out that all my life I've had Russia shoved down my throat as the enemy, and I'm sure they were bad, tied up with this agenda shit

have said that I thought Putin was cleaning his own swamp

boy did that go over well lol

I must say I appreciate these posts, just wish more would really read them, take the time, get off their ass and put a little into educating their mind as to How and Whom is responsible, well at least a lot of the players lol

I'm actually with you there, to be quite honest. I've looked at Assyria many a times in/throughout Root of Corruption, I've also recently looked at modern Syria more closely and my gut tells me something very complex is going on there, but, with the context of topics discussed in Root of Corruption, I can give you even more ammo in the near future :)
