He is asshole. Most likely a pedo - do you think that anyone could have worked as an AG under Bush, without being compromised - I don't.
As to your question - Epstein was removed from the CIA and Mossad sex trafficking operations because Julie Brown had investigated the case, and published the Miami Herald series about Epstein. So it was clear that the public would get interested in Epstein case again.
It was not the FBI or the DOJ who pushed this into the open, but an investigative journalist.
On a sidenote, Barr's father is still an interesting figure, because he worked for the CIA predecessor OSS, and published a novel about sex slaves.
Anything connected to CIA is 100% suspect. Did you compile any of this stuff somewhere? Incidentally, something I noticed when I went to verify the erroneous Mueller claim elsewhere in the thread was that there is only one person who has been Director of both the FBI and CIA: William H. Webster. I can't help but wonder if that cross-pollination is what led to the corruption in the FBI.

I don't know enough about FBI history to really form an opinion on that. But I'd imagine that any government agency dealing with secret information and criminal investigations will attract corrupt people and pedos, and then I also think it's unlikely that the pedos controlling the government would not have made sure that both FBI and CIA have corrupt leaders.
Remember, this goes back centuries. It certainly didn't start in the 1980s. If anything, the pedo and corruption problem was even worse back in the days, because noone talked about these crimes, and high level perps always got away with it.
