There’s two ways of looking at it. From a secular perspective, there’s no relation, as many indigenous religions had a different concept of the good/evil dichotomy. If you’re looking at it as a Christian, then yes, even in well-intentioned pagan worship there can be evil acts that could attract demonic forces and it’s all suspect.

Your understanding reflects my own. I am a now a Christian. My journey to this point is based on reason and examination of fact, though some may scoff as I say, and science. The only way I could make sense of any of this was to continue to read and read, meanwhile keenly observing for “the proof in the pudding” so to speak. “Wisdom is proved by its works”, is the axiom. While I accept a creator and Christ, I do no subscribe to the trinity or Hell doctrines. To get here, I started with a foundation that is almost word for word what you have written here. From what I learned when I was younger Satanism was what Native Americans were, they lived with and for nature and believed that nature was a religion upon itself and like we've seen they would give themselves to nature when they got to old as in going out on their own and fight a bear to the death and nature would win of course but that's how they lived and believed.
