"No Republican had ever set foot in the place, at least to their knowledge." (nytimes)
These boarding houses are not uncommon in Washington DC, since the men would have to commute frequently otherwise. What is unique, however, is the roommates exhibition & pride about their living situation. Aside from Schumer, the most recent set of roommates were exclusively liberal Roman Catholics.
- George Miller bought the house in 1977
- Dick Durbin rented 1996 - 2014
- William Delahunt rented 2003 - 2011
- Other notable renters from decades past: Marty Russo, Leon E. Panetta, Sam Gejdenson
- Miller sold the house to Gejdenson's son in 2014

THIS really needs to be looked into. Doing some digging now.

Dick Durbin flip-flopped from pro-life to pro-choice in 1982. Might be totally unrelated but I'm curious if there is a common special interest group behind both Durbin & Schumer. This house could really be symbolic of something much deeper.

True. This house is like a Jesuit Order summer camp for Top Democratic Leadership. Trace these friendships to their roots & try to find their shady business dealings/handlers.
