These boarding houses are not uncommon in Washington DC, since the men would have to commute frequently otherwise. What is unique, however, is the roommates exhibition & pride about their living situation. Aside from Schumer, the most recent set of roommates were exclusively liberal Roman Catholics.

- Other notable renters from decades past: Marty Russo, Leon E. Panetta, Sam Gejdenson
- Miller sold the house to Gejdenson's son in 2014

Dick Durbin flip-flopped from pro-life to pro-choice in 1982. Might be totally unrelated but I'm curious if there is a common special interest group behind both Durbin & Schumer. This house could really be symbolic of something much deeper.
