Not really. Jeff Epstein is a disgusting perv but not technically a pedophile. It is a definition based on science of the predators brain and behavior characteristics. If the victim has reached sexual maturity...as menstruation, it is technically not pedophilia....it's really not even hebephilia (girls nearing sexual maturity...about 11 to 14).
It does make a difference. There is a world of difference between ongoing sexual abuse of a 3 year old and that of a 14 year old. I am not saying it's ok for the teen...just that it is different.
I say this as a parent of three teenagers and a former victim of child sexual abuse.
