The Pilger interview is likely manipulated. There are many signs of this and that's the reason they haven't done more videos. You discard this as being caused by a cheap digital camera. Fucking pathetic.
The encrypted aes256 encrypted binary file can not be "compromised" (as in infected with mystery viruses that will fry your brain upon looking at it), no danger in downloading it. And then, when decrypting it you would be in a sandboxed environment - at least when running dangerous filetypes or executables...

Unless someone has had this leak downloaded from before it was compromised Id be wary of anything contained therein. Might just be a carefully constructed fluff piece designed to upload malware or whatever onto leakers computers.

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. Granted, YET the wiki-leaks team can come up with a rather creative way to prove that he is alive (if his internet connection its still severed). And this kind of attitude doesnt add well, to be cautious with this kind of file is not necessarily being paranoid in any sense, people are well aware of the capabilities of the government and what in can do w/o regret or fear of being brought to justice (since they represent the justice).
As for J.A. being alive or dead, given the zeitgeist and the current state of world political situation. Its safer to assume he is dead or kidnapped or likely hiding.

You make a great point. It is like the "fake news" claim. Suggesting that something MIGHT be the case but lacking bullet-proof evidence does NOT make it fake. At that point, it would be a theory/suspicion. In the same way, we DO NOT KNOW if Wikileaks is compromised. Some think yes and others think no. All are entitled to their viewpoints, but no one has certainty on this from all I have seen. Expressing concern that it may be compromised and used as a honeypot or disinformation source is prudent. Whatever is attached to Wikileaks should be viewed with caution. If this idea proves wrong, there was nothing incorrect in being careful before we knew the status of Wikileaks.

The encrypted aes256 encrypted binary file can not be "compromised" (as in infected with mystery viruses that will fry your brain upon looking at it), no danger in downloading it. And then, when decrypting it you would be in a sandboxed environment - at least when running dangerous filetypes or executables...
The people fear mongering and panicking about viruses with wikileaks files are probably same who would enable makros on some fake office file in their mailbox - and end up with all their hard drives enrypted by some ransomware.

I agree we need to keep an eye on leaks but at this stage I'm dubious about any insurance file release [particularly since i read a user somewhere say that on download through chrome it said it needed access to emails or something dodgy like that]
At this stage I'm simply monitoring Wikileaks for clues to the overall agenda. I get the feeling that the 'anti' CIA tweets are just the CIA doing there best at Larping but who knows anymore. I was holding out hope that Assange was in the arms of the FBI and was helping pull a RICO case together for post Jan but more and more I get the feeling that if we get to Jan and trump makes it to innaugaration the most we'll get is an admittion he's been taken or they'll orchestrate a 'sickness' and death... they started trying to lay the sickness story in November but seemed to back off after myself and others suggested that was an angle they'd go for.
I'm beyond disheartened with all this if I'm honest...
