DC Building permit records show that James Alefantis performed upgrades to a property in DC that he does not own.

Two things were done
Replacement in kind of interior wall coverings. Replacement in kind, when applied to
architectural features, means replacement with a feature of like material that replicates the
existing feature in proportion, appearance, texture, design, detail and dimensions
Replacement in kind of up to 5 fire windows. Replacement in kind, when applied to
architectural features, means replacement with a feature of like material that replicates the
existing feature in proportion, appearance, texture, design, detail and dimensions.
Did he hide something in the walls? Soundproof the windows?
Stranger yet, he does not own the property

The owner is Boris Rochilin, who ever that is.
Some of the records that a company called CASTELLUM ACHILLES asked for permits.

When you look for this company you find information about a company called CHRISTOPHER ACHILLES LLC .

Owned by JAMES ALEFANTIS, ! His lawyer, ROBERT A. HARRIS IV has opened many LLC with Alefantis.
The house don't look like a place a rich, well connected person like James Alefantis would live:

Why would James Alefantis (a chef and restaurateur) use an LLC to do home renovations on a house he doesn't even own?

This proves, as we should suspect, that Alefantis has his fingers in LOTS of pies. Since, so far as we know, Alefantis is not in the building industry, it is hard to imagine what his connection to this work could possibly be. The obvious conclusion is that Alefantis actually owns this house - I've seen information suggesting that he owns a good many properties - and that the record you've seen indicating that it is owned by Boris Tochilin is a mistake or is out of date. I wonder how far it is away from Comet.

He actually does have a tenuous link to a construction firm. One of his LLC's, HERECOMESYOURMAN (nice name) is co-owned with a guy named John Kreher. I found Kreher's LinkedIn which states he's a project manager with a DC-based general contractor called the Ley Group: http://archive.is/VHZcV
I'm pretty sure that the John Kreher from that LinkedIn page is the same person in this construction picture from Jimmy Comet's instagram: https://img1.steemit.com/0x0/https://i.sli.mg/s3px8V.png
Been lurking these threads for a while, and I've held off on posting this because, except for the above links, Kreher is a ghost on Google. The only other thing I can find on him is that he attended an art reception: http://archive.is/TjBem
But he must be pretty close to Alefantis if they run an LLC together. If anyone could find a link between Alefantis and The Ley Group, that would be interesting.
