Thank you. Asking for a Reddit username is not doxxing. If they have PII on that account then I would understand not posting the username name, that's all they would have to say here. Instead I get 50 trolls going "OMG HE'S ASKING FOR DOXXING REPORT HIM"
Don't keep it anywhere that's accessible online. Given the capacity of the NSA + google and others working with the govt, we don't know how far this reaches. There's credible evidence of the EXIF data being fucked with from the images - and with the fact that Assange is very likely dead or being held prisoner within the embassy itself - you can't even trust the data integrity of the original stuff on the wikileaks site anymore.
I've tried 5 different kinds of software. Any recommendations? I have the files and keys from when Wikileaks "dead-mans switch went off". Hoping this might be some more indisputable evidence re #PizzaGate
There are people talking about downloading websites and buying EMP-bags from amazon so I think at least someone has all the info at this point. Lot of chatting about Exif data being edited so if you have any original images (e.g. from other chats or from infograhics) ioslate them and do not plug them back in when your computer is connected to the internet. I wish there was a website where this data was collected, links, screen shots and all.
Whaat? Well does anyone actually have the original images? It would have made sense to download all images and leave them on a flash drive where no one could get them. But I am not a tech and have no idea if imgur retains true exif data.
EXIF data would be encoded into the image itself - I'm not sure as to the process that imgur uses but from what I know from my experience working on the web I don't think that they're wiping the data already on the images. Although they might be, as a privacy precaution in general for all images, since so many people inadvertently upload images from their phones and shit.
Yeah I was wondering about some formatting so that people don't upload pictures of their children for instance, with a time, date and geotag. I know on Flickr people almost always include it to show that the image is theirs. I just have a poor understanding of how exif data gets packaged with a jpeg. Some people are talking about looking at the raw files for clues but it's all beyond me.
I was suspicious of this ever since I extracted exif data from the Podesta 14-fish photo.
I uploaded that photo to an exif viewer and got gps coordinates from the exif data.
When I went to do it again, the exif data was gone. FROM THE PIC ON MY PHONE. This happened around November 3rd.
Maybe I suck at exif data, maybe there's more than 1 Podesta 14-fish photo and I was using the wrong one.
But the 14 fish photo links podesta to elkinsspace, pizza testing, and a company that rhymes with scatfor.
The only way to confirm this: Podesta (allegedly) sent the 14 fish photo 3 times, plus posted to twitter.
Twitter pic is gone
Find all 3 copies of the 14 fish photo (if three copies exist)
See if there are gps coordinates in any of them.
Also, last night on halfchan, someone was posting screen caps that suggested his computer was being hacked in real time as he browsed wikileaks. Totally sketchy shit.
They can access computers through the plug in outlet...A computer doesnt need to be connected to the internet/ethernet. Also a computer can be accessed through the radio transmitter in a Wifi card OR a usb thumbdrives radio transmitter...yes its got one.
Best thing to do is put it on a thumb drive and put it and your laptop in a Faraday Cage if you REALLY want to be safe.
Tons of real information is being removed from the internet constantly. I've saved blogs with info on pedophilia, vaccine injury/deaths & several other subjects. Then I return to use the blog and it's been removed.....So, yeah if you wish to keep any information- back it up. It will be removed if it doesn't fit the mainstream narrative.
Just please make sure you are backing up the entire site – database and files – on a very, very regular basis...MediaWiki can be a bitch :)
PM me if you have MW questions.
Stuff like this is the only true long-term solution - well, something like this combined with a discussion forum that aggregates all of the different places it's being investigated online + live chat/video streaming/video playback. I'll have to find me a fellow webdev dork interested in creating something useful.
Hi! Same as with dannonyme: thank you very much for your input. Although I can't PM you ultil I've got 10 CCP. May you please upvote me so we can keep moving forward? Thanks.
Done...I'm going to post on here with an update later today, setting up a non-US-based, dynamically DNS-hosted anonymous (clearnet) site for all of the evidence and discussion that uses a setup for filtering potential shills/bad actors utilizing a novel trust-rating system I've established. Will post from a dump account.
Also have a potential smoking gun leak re: Proof of Podestas + co. in Portugal @ Clement Freud's villa. Solid proof, from a place they're not expecting at all - so all of this super sketchy shit going on is unlikely to effect it.
KEEP THIS SHIT ROLLING GUYS. WHOEVER HAS EVERYTHING SAVED, GET IT UPLOADED HOWEVER POSSIBLE. This has to be protected. Anyone got a compilation of EVERYTHING I can download and back up?
This. We should all already be saving everything locally. By everything, I of course mean everything relevant (actual leads and intel, which unfortunately is still only a modest amount of what is being posted on this sub). Even archives are not necessarily reliable in the long-term. Save both important images and text posts (copy text post into word processor and save). Keep them organized by subject (create sub-folders).
Is this like a removal of stuff on voat, or social media, or of independent articles and sites floating around? Cause that's a shit ton of data altogether, so it would be helpful to know how to prioritise it.
This could also be a prelude to people investigating this being targeted, and massive backups increases the chances of something incriminating being saved to take them down with. Remember folks, encrypt everything.
Mac users can encrypt their entire drive (HD) with FileVault.
Go to System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> FileVault.
It generates a backup key in case you forget your account password (you must sign in to access) and you can also send it to apple (I personally would not do that but it's an option).
From the link above
Only unlock-enabled users can start or unlock the drive. Once unlocked, other users may also use the computer until it is shut down.
FYI/DISCLAIMER: If you forget your password AND your key, then ALL OF YOUR DATA IS LOST!
As a reminder, TrueCrypt 7.1a is the last real version of True Crypt before all of the drama, key changes, and as many suspect, compromise of the software.
Find a binary of 7.1a, then check multiple reputable websites of your own finding for the hash of 7.1a and verify your binary before trusting it.
Any reason to not use VeraCrypt at this point, for Windows users? They did go through that code audit, but I can understand if people still feel real uneasy.
Linux users can use LVM encryption on your disks. It's built-in to the kernel, no extra software needed. Your preferred distro's installer probably has a checkbox you can just select to do all the hard work for you.
Be sure to use an EXTRA BIGASS PASSCODE, and basically just do your best to be RMS. Get anal about binary blobs in your code (backdoors, telemetry), or in your computer's chips (Intel ME, Libreboot), etc. You only need to trust bad software once for shit to go straight out the window.
