A user is free to say whatever they wish,

Saying users are free to say whatever they wish is extremely disingenuous.

First, A user with negative comment karma cannot post more then 10 comments a day. And their submissions are limited. Your system code has created an echo chamber where unpopular speech can be throttled by the hive mind. Merely disagreeing with people creates systematized censorship. Whereas the typical Trumpette spouting off the hive-mind narrative can post as freely as they like.

Second, there are rules all over in various subs that limit what individuals can post and say there. And there is zero guidance from Voat as to what the limits of moderation powers are.

How many more than 10 posts do you absolutely need to make in a day in order to have free speech?

So then we can make that a 10-comment limit for everyone?

Because some of us have interesting things to say.

Not really. You're all just circle-jerking yourself about how great Trump is, and how bad the brown people are.

The circlejerk is real, granted. But that is part of a community. This will continue and possibly amplify as 'undesirables' are silenced and/or removed from Reddit.

Personally, I don't like how hastily downvotes are given in v/politics. But this is a normal reaction to often shit content.

You have managed to make a name for yourself here, and you make posts and comments daily. Maybe your account is limited, but that could be remedied by posting quality content to other 'verses that isn't politically charged. That choice is yours. You haven't been shadowbanned or otherwise silenced. There is something to be said for that.
