I was raised Catholic.Didn't have anything to compare it to, as I was little, but dressed in a suit every Sunday to honor God.
The late 70's, I saw some changes in mass and that's when I stopped going...didn't feel comfortable there anymore....never stopped believing.. just stopped going to Church. I will say I never saw anything that seemed evil, just uncomfortable and staged... But the things I've learned about the Vatican is hard to believe... but it's right there in our faces if we look. I have some great friends who are Catholic that would have a hard time if I shared what I know now. My Mom is in her 90's now and prays everyday... she also felt uncomfortable at the same time I did, and she hasn't been back to mass either.... I look forward to the Day we can truly say there is Peace on Earth... My Mom and I would be so happy, as she's been praying endlessly and so have I. Not sure how she would take the catholic part though...
Any advise for her or my other Catholic friends?
