I agree. I'm sort of new to this whole thing. So when I first came here I asked questions and asked for clarification on things that didn't make sense to me. Was immediately called a "shill" ... didn't even know what that meant. Had to Google it. So now I just keep most questions to myself. Not worth the drama. When you use it like that, it's more of a forum rather than consensus. There is heavy shill activity on these boards to divide us. Also I don't think the low subscriber numbers here are just due to popularity contests, but rather are due to the fact that this place is much more NSFW than reddit was. Lack of moderation also means there is a lot of clutter that wastes people's time.

Without active mods this is hardly a place I could recommend to my friends or family. I get "muh freedom of speech" but many people here are purposely being as offensive as they can. That will drive people away as I'm sure is intended.

Although I understand and empathize with your honest concern, it is what it is, and I can try to offer you some perspective to alleviate at least some of your worry.

First, this is an information war, the divisiveness you have seen here stems from an uptick in attacks and a shift in strategy to focus on bringing about learned helplessness. Those that need to feel a part of a hive mind are actually more susceptible to these attack as they are more likely to subconsciouslyt adopt (in time and through repetition) the ideas that sow doubt or infer a sense of failure.

It turns out that, in the case of the reddit boards, what seemed more like unity there was in actuality a few competing hive minds trying to maintain relevance. There was still a steering of thought, and to the degree that it Muddied the signal in itself, the shills didn’t need to interrupt what was already not productive. For example, you did not see shilling on neon revolt or sb2 posts on reddit, but rather overwhelming support.

When there is true opportunity to discuss diverse points, there will inevitably be much more noise by the opposition, and you will have to just be even more creative on how you try to get the information out, there is no free lunch and no free pass, unfortunately.

The problem with platforms like this are the post/comment rating systems. Good comments made to a thread will be ignored and buried under whatever came first and was given more upvotes. Save downvotes just for bot/script spam. Otherwise, all "points" are cancer. What I do is I click "New" to sort the threads by date submitted instead of "what's popular". I'll click "New" to sort the comments the same way every time I enter a thread, so that I don't miss anything. The internet is vast, and there will always be a large number of people who will disagree with whatever you have to say. Also take in to consideration that there are a large number of shills who want this movement to fail. Sometimes you get shit on for your post. Just fucking hit back. Fuck the shills. Also, just because people are spread out over multiple platforms does not necessarily mean we are divided if we are working towards the same objective. People just have their preferred places to get their work done. We all want to MAGA and we are all united in that regard.
