Won't age well. A promise is a promise.

Aether

Goats should move over to Aether, which is engineered to foil censorship and doesn't have the single point of weakness Voat has.

Aether is:

  • Free Software (AGPL)
  • Distributed (works using a client, not a single website)
  • Supportive of Free Expression
  • Engineered to prevent brigading or power-mods
  • Up and running now

If you haven't tried Aether yet, have a look. If you like it tell your friends. And bring some content!

Is it open source? Can we see the code?

@PuttitoutisGone

Thanks for your vital question. Yes, it is an 'Open Source' project. People are free to collaborate on it and contribute code. It is better than that, actually, as Aether is released under the AGPL (like the GPL, but with stronger support for Freedom).

For a communications platform, I think you must insist on a Free as in Freedom licence.
