Theory floating that Kyle did not shoot first, the pistol wielding guy 30-40ft to his left fired first, possibly killing the first Antifa type hitting him in the head. Kyle turns and fires his rifle right after that.

The guy's head had no apparent exit wound visible and those responding to him were only concerned with the entry wound. It seems that Kyle's high powered rifle would have blown a part of his head off (like JFK) at that distance, whereas the pistol shot from the left would more likely make a wound like this with no exit wound. It is possible Kyle did not shoot that guy in the head. If there is no exit wound, the bullet should still be in the skull and could be verified not to be from Kyle's gun, stay tuned.
