In the past 2 years that I have been on Voat, my eyes have been opened to many things that indoctrination hid from me during my school and college years and even afterwards.
Though I was a Christian before I joined Voat, this community manage to strengthen my faith even harder. Even with all the people here that blaspheme against God the Father and Jesus, they only showed me more of the Truth of God.
Some of you, old and new, young and old, may think that this is pure rubbish and that I am just trying to seek attention from you or that I am sucking up to you guys. But that is not the case.
I saw how an atheist thought me about the (((jews in the flesh))) and make the difference between (((them))) and the Jews in the Spirit - Romans 2:28-29. Even when he didn't intent to do it, he did and was surprised of my appreciation for it.
I saw how this same person then posted the reality of the (((jews in the flesh))), smearing and attacking a Christian brother while he was evangelizing them and asking them to come back to Jesus. But he only manage to show me the true nature of a Christian: Have the resolve to speak the Truth even when you will be the subject of attacks and insults. I also thanked him for that and I am certain, that he was also surprised for what I said on my comments regarding how God used him to show us Christians, here at Voat, this.
Many protestants here at Voat state that Christmas is a pagan celebration, satanic in nature. I am not saying you are wrong, but I am saying that it depends from the perspective you look at it. If you say to me that it is because of presents, for consuming, worshiping false idols and doing false repetitions in prayers, then I say you are right. That is in fact satanic in nature.
But if you look at it from the perspective that it brings Jesus, the Christ, back into the picture of a year full of deceptions and perversions, then I say, you are wrong. If you see that for those of us that see this day in the year to be thankful for the Lord's Son and His Truth, that we offer gifts to others not by mere superficiality but to bless others in the name of Christ, the pagan and satanic powers of this day, fall off. Disappear as we, as Christians, as brothers in Christ, have the power to remove that perversion from our lives and move on.
You want to decorate your homes with the tree? With the nativity scene? Fine. Do not worship them. But do this to honor God and His sacrifice for it was a perfect sacrifice - a magnanimous one for the sake of whosoever believeth in Him, would have everlasting life.
This is not convenience talking for I hold dear the Word of God and vanity must not form part of this celebration. Otherwise you will corrupt it.
If you don't want to put the tree nor decorate your home, that is fine too. But don't forget that no matter the day, you must bless your brother with the Truth: Jesus is the way, Jesus is the Truth. Only through the Son you get to meet the Father.
The main thing here is that no matter what your background is, no matter the truths of the world that you know, the Truth that matters is that we honor God in our everyday. No matter the occasion. For he granted us this life to appreciate His creation, despite the perversion that the spirit of the enemy spread around the world, the beauty of his creation can't be erased.
The union between a man and a woman. The perpetuation of life through pregnancy. The bond between families. The beautiful sunsets and mornings. The warmth of the son, the cold of the wind, the glow of the moon and the stars. All of this was created for us to shepherd them through our lives, in God's name.
We have fallen far from his grace because we followed convenience. We must leave that aside and comeback to Him. And for those that do not believe and will probably go ahead and comment some ill nature statement, I appreciate your sharing, but I bless you by rebuking you from your ill stances and pray to God in the name of Jesus, that you may have the same chance that He granted me a while back.
In twenty two days I will marry a good woman. A God fearing and loving, and conservative woman. I am thankful to God in the name of Jesus for sending this woman to my life. I will honor her in the name of God and will cherish every moment I spent with her in this world. I am thankful for she also helped my faith grow farther than it would have on my own.
I am thankful to Jesus for finding Voat. I am thankful for his creators: @PutItOut and @Atko.
I am thankful to Jesus for @Crensch with his red pills and unintended truth about Christians. I am grateful also for his shill hunter pals (If I could tag you all I would). You all make me laugh with your bold comments and comebacks. You definitely are part of Voat's immune system.
I am thankful to Jesus for the constant blasphemers here at Voat, for you all show me how true His Word is. And you might find this ironic or contradictory, but if you had knowledge of His Word, you would know it is not.
May God bless you all in different ways and may you have an amazing Christmas, blessing others with the Truth. Even those that do not intent to (you are).
Thank you voaters!

Christmas is the most joyous feast of Christians, unadulterated by the sorrow that is part of Easter. God becomes man to save us! Celebrate by drawing closer to God. That's the whole of it.
VQTmom ago
Christmas is God the Father giving His most beloved Son to the whole world to save and redeem it. It is mind boggling what great love and sacrifice He gave and did for you and me. There’s no greater love!

Christian co-opted ancient festival of light (Roman) and Norse Yule (pagan). Jesus was not born in December. It is common for new powers to co-opt festivals, holidays etc of conquered people.
sguevar ago
I am aware of what you are talking about, by as Christians we have the power to remove that perversion. The main point is to honor God and Jesus' sacrifice every day. No matter the occasion.
singlebrain1 ago
The important point is every day. Try to acknowledge God daily and pray for others.

Amen

Christmas is the old Yule festival, nicely appropriated wholesale from the North Europeans. The birth of the Sun at the solstice, Dec 21. The red and the white come from the blood of the hunted reindeer on the snow, the god of the hunt driving them towards the hunters.

Christains changed it. CHRIST MASS.
sguevar ago
I care not for the false teachings that surround it. I care for what it means for me: Honor the Christ.
Thanks for sharing!

Thank you. Your post brought me so much joy. In 9 more days we will be celebrating our 52nd Anniversary! I married a wonderful man who is also my best friend. And yes, what a wonderful thing to celebrate Christmas. To be renewed with joy remembering the birth of the Savior child. Goodness, I am almost finished making a quilt for one of our sons for Christmas. Since we have four, I make a quilt for one of the boys each Christmas. So, every 4 years one of them receives a quilt. This year, I am making one with 30 star blocks in remembrance of Christ's birth. I already have the label made for the back. I chose a wonderful pen drawing of the nativity with a bright star. On the label I have inked, Matthew 2:10. "And having seen the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy" using the Berean Study Bible version. I love your heart and post. And yes, it does take discipline to keep the right focus on Christmas. I understand the struggle some may have as they learn of the true beginning of the start of "Christmas". Each one must figure this out on their own. But for us, it has come to be a special time to reflect that our Lord and Savior came to earth as a child. Fully God, fully man. Live a righteous life and show mankind the true meaning of love and sacrifice. That's my Christmas. Love my family and friends. Its Christ who put this light in my soul and I'm so thankful. Bless you on your wedding. When I go to bed I will be calling out a prayer for you. And if I counted right, I'll be praying for you on December 29th. May the Lord shine His face upon you.
sguevar ago
Amen, thanks for your good wishes and yes, it is in December 29th.
It admire you make quilts for your sons! That is a great skill and comes handy for family!
Bless you and your family and I will also pray for you and your kin! I am happy to see that you have a 52nd anniversary coming up!. Respect there.
And may it last many years more!.
God bless you!
Helbrecht ago
Well said, brother.
Congratulations on the impending wedding! Think you're blessed now? Wait until you have a kid.
sguevar ago
Amen! But whatever God wants. Kids or not, I trust my marriage will be blessed by Him.
Would love me a girl to be honest, but would love a boy the same (or both!) - That will rest in God's hands.
Helbrecht ago
Who downvoated this? Lame.
Psalm 127:3-5 - 3 Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. 4 As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. 5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.
(Not advocating the "Quiverfull" movement, just saying children are a blessing)
I pray God blesses you with as many mini-yous as you can handle. God bless, friend.
sguevar ago
I don't mind the downvotes. They come and go. They are not important. What is important is the message and the Truth! Thanks for your wishes and blessings to you too!

Merry CHRISTmas! What a well thought-out post. I’m A Christian and agree with what yiu’rw Saying here. I also thank God for Voat and all of you, Patriots and shills. May God continue to bless and lead POTUS and like-minded white hat Patriots. Amen!

VOAT is bringing me back to my Christian roots as well. I pray for forgiveness every day. I'm terrified of churches though, from experience. It's really nice to see the good and decent people post gentle reminders. Thank you and Praise our Lord, Jesus Christ! He can set you free!
RightSideUp17and6 ago
So sorry that churches who follow religion have harmed you in some way. I do not deny that this occurs far too often. However there are some that exist, that understand it is about relationship. Jesus was always with people, with His "fellowship", etc, although He did take time away for face time with His Father. "Church" is not easy, it is the tough road of treading it with others, all of us with foibles. The fellowship i am with does accept me as i am, but also encourages me to grow to become more like Christ, to be salt and light in a dark world. It can be so easy to be alone, it is not easy to have to deal with people. In all honesty i would rather not-my flesh would rather go it alone, but the Spirit helps me. Fellowship has its challenges and rewards. Returning to what the New Testament/Book of Acts was all about, it is to strive for unity, to be in one accord. Even the devil will "go to church" to sow discord and foment hurt and harm. That is where much of the battle is. So...i go towards the battle. And i am not alone.... The Word (Christ/Scripture), Prayer, Fellowship. All these elements are needed to mature as a believer. Not easy, but so rewarding. As i like to say as a half joke but all truth-my fellowship puts up with me! So grateful. Godspeed!
ArielQflip ago
Thanks. Your point makes sense. Being alone in Christ is equivalent to social relationships in its lovingly basic context, but I always find trolls there. Selfish and fiendish, guilty of it as well I'm sure, in response. The WORD needs revisiting.
RightSideUp17and6 ago
Trolls are just the enemy tryin' to crush your game. Most people have no idea how they are being "used". It is not against flesh and blood, but oh boy sometimes it sure feels like it! Be strong in the Lord! Often our greatest challenges is where we are called to serve, in order to foil the dark design of the enemy. A defeated enemy. YOU, on the other hand, are NOT defeated. You are victorious in Christ! Keep on keeping on! And, as always, yes go to the Word. That is wisdom.
ArielQflip ago
True. Changed me life 3 years ago to civil service. It's awakening.
RightSideUp17and6 ago
Kudos! Godspeed in your walk!
sguevar ago
Couldn't have said it better, brother. Thanks for spreading truth there.
RightSideUp17and6 ago
ThanQ and Amen! We're all in this together-here and hereafter! Dark to Light
sguevar ago
Amen!
Keep that Truth close to your heart, even in dire moments when all seems lost remember that Jesus overcame the world and He will give you rest!

Thank you Brother!

As it is with everything else, you can learn valuable positive lessons - even from negative teachers. It just depends on your perspective, choosing what to do with negative things, and being open to the positive.
sguevar ago
Nice thought, you my friend just quoted the Word of God: 1 Thessalonians 5 KJV and Matthew 6:25-34 KJV.
God bless!
Lauraingalls ago
Nice post. You put a lot of thought into it. It was interesting to read.
sguevar ago
Glad you like it, thanks and God bless you too!.
Merry Christmas as well. Spread the Truth and with the Truth you spray joy and freedom!
Lauraingalls ago
Thanks. I'm glad fellow Christians Love Q. God is TRUTH and I love TRUTH. Tired of FAKE NEWS, EVIL and LIES.
sguevar ago
I don't love Q. As I said before I don't trust Q. I find it interesting like something out of a spy book or so. But my love goes for my future wife, for Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit. The rest, I put it in God's hands.
However I know why you guys follow Q so vehemently and you have the right to do so.
God bless!
Lauraingalls ago
I missed that part. SORRY.
sguevar ago
Oh no no, it is not on this post, it is on other posts that I have made.
I will always defend the Free Speech of people, even those that I disagree with or do not share entirely their beliefs. The Q movement is one of those. I was one of the voaters that faught the new migration from Reddit that sought to overtake Voat and use reddit tier banning on their subverses and sought for the two subverses to unite.
Some did unite to the GreatAwakening. Some didn't. But my position is a reserved one. My faith goes to God alone. Not the things of Man, as interesting as they may be.
No apologies needed - they were old posts.
Lauraingalls ago
Thanks for explaining and I wish you a really lovely Christmas and marriage.
sguevar ago
Thanks!

You're welcome.

God Bless you Patriot! I'm not religious but I wholly respect Christ and that was a beautiful post! Christmas (and Christianity in general) is about the birth of the savior, not the death like we have been taught since the time of Constantine.
