Thank you. Your post brought me so much joy. In 9 more days we will be celebrating our 52nd Anniversary! I married a wonderful man who is also my best friend. And yes, what a wonderful thing to celebrate Christmas. To be renewed with joy remembering the birth of the Savior child. Goodness, I am almost finished making a quilt for one of our sons for Christmas. Since we have four, I make a quilt for one of the boys each Christmas. So, every 4 years one of them receives a quilt. This year, I am making one with 30 star blocks in remembrance of Christ's birth. I already have the label made for the back. I chose a wonderful pen drawing of the nativity with a bright star. On the label I have inked, Matthew 2:10. "And having seen the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy" using the Berean Study Bible version. I love your heart and post. And yes, it does take discipline to keep the right focus on Christmas. I understand the struggle some may have as they learn of the true beginning of the start of "Christmas". Each one must figure this out on their own. But for us, it has come to be a special time to reflect that our Lord and Savior came to earth as a child. Fully God, fully man. Live a righteous life and show mankind the true meaning of love and sacrifice. That's my Christmas. Love my family and friends. Its Christ who put this light in my soul and I'm so thankful. Bless you on your wedding. When I go to bed I will be calling out a prayer for you. And if I counted right, I'll be praying for you on December 29th. May the Lord shine His face upon you.
