In the past 2 years that I have been on Voat, my eyes have been opened to many things that indoctrination hid from me during my school and college years and even afterwards.
Though I was a Christian before I joined Voat, this community manage to strengthen my faith even harder. Even with all the people here that blaspheme against God the Father and Jesus, they only showed me more of the Truth of God.
Some of you, old and new, young and old, may think that this is pure rubbish and that I am just trying to seek attention from you or that I am sucking up to you guys. But that is not the case.
I saw how an atheist thought me about the (((jews in the flesh))) and make the difference between (((them))) and the Jews in the Spirit - Romans 2:28-29. Even when he didn't intent to do it, he did and was surprised of my appreciation for it.
I saw how this same person then posted the reality of the (((jews in the flesh))), smearing and attacking a Christian brother while he was evangelizing them and asking them to come back to Jesus. But he only manage to show me the true nature of a Christian: Have the resolve to speak the Truth even when you will be the subject of attacks and insults. I also thanked him for that and I am certain, that he was also surprised for what I said on my comments regarding how God used him to show us Christians, here at Voat, this.
Many protestants here at Voat state that Christmas is a pagan celebration, satanic in nature. I am not saying you are wrong, but I am saying that it depends from the perspective you look at it. If you say to me that it is because of presents, for consuming, worshiping false idols and doing false repetitions in prayers, then I say you are right. That is in fact satanic in nature.
But if you look at it from the perspective that it brings Jesus, the Christ, back into the picture of a year full of deceptions and perversions, then I say, you are wrong. If you see that for those of us that see this day in the year to be thankful for the Lord's Son and His Truth, that we offer gifts to others not by mere superficiality but to bless others in the name of Christ, the pagan and satanic powers of this day, fall off. Disappear as we, as Christians, as brothers in Christ, have the power to remove that perversion from our lives and move on.
You want to decorate your homes with the tree? With the nativity scene? Fine. Do not worship them. But do this to honor God and His sacrifice for it was a perfect sacrifice - a magnanimous one for the sake of whosoever believeth in Him, would have everlasting life.
This is not convenience talking for I hold dear the Word of God and vanity must not form part of this celebration. Otherwise you will corrupt it.
If you don't want to put the tree nor decorate your home, that is fine too. But don't forget that no matter the day, you must bless your brother with the Truth: Jesus is the way, Jesus is the Truth. Only through the Son you get to meet the Father.
The main thing here is that no matter what your background is, no matter the truths of the world that you know, the Truth that matters is that we honor God in our everyday. No matter the occasion. For he granted us this life to appreciate His creation, despite the perversion that the spirit of the enemy spread around the world, the beauty of his creation can't be erased.
The union between a man and a woman. The perpetuation of life through pregnancy. The bond between families. The beautiful sunsets and mornings. The warmth of the son, the cold of the wind, the glow of the moon and the stars. All of this was created for us to shepherd them through our lives, in God's name.
We have fallen far from his grace because we followed convenience. We must leave that aside and comeback to Him. And for those that do not believe and will probably go ahead and comment some ill nature statement, I appreciate your sharing, but I bless you by rebuking you from your ill stances and pray to God in the name of Jesus, that you may have the same chance that He granted me a while back.
In twenty two days I will marry a good woman. A God fearing and loving, and conservative woman. I am thankful to God in the name of Jesus for sending this woman to my life. I will honor her in the name of God and will cherish every moment I spent with her in this world. I am thankful for she also helped my faith grow farther than it would have on my own.
I am thankful to Jesus for finding Voat. I am thankful for his creators: @PutItOut and @Atko.
I am thankful to Jesus for @Crensch with his red pills and unintended truth about Christians. I am grateful also for his shill hunter pals (If I could tag you all I would). You all make me laugh with your bold comments and comebacks. You definitely are part of Voat's immune system.
I am thankful to Jesus for the constant blasphemers here at Voat, for you all show me how true His Word is. And you might find this ironic or contradictory, but if you had knowledge of His Word, you would know it is not.
May God bless you all in different ways and may you have an amazing Christmas, blessing others with the Truth. Even those that do not intent to (you are).
Thank you voaters!
