I've been thinking of spending less time on Voat because /all is often dominated by things which I'm not interested in and by things which I can prove are illogical.
I'm not trying to stop anyone from posting what they want. Censorship is self-sabotage. It's not about the words that are used. Instead i'm troubled by the reasoning one uses to select those words as a means of sharing what they think.
Personally, I don't prefer to make value judgements about a perceived group based on individuals that are perceived to be a part of that group. I think it's a waste of time and leads to inaccuracies in the way I value those people individually. However, I derive a lot of value from the mistakes of others and will not try to stop you so long as you aren't trying to violently pursue your ideas.
I'm not at all surprised that communities with unpopular opinions will initially dominate here at voat. However, I don't usually find people are properly invested in seeing that preferences are not objective, and that instead people regularly assert their preferences as objective, sometimes violently. Reddit asserted their preferences as justification for censorship: subjectively evaluating what a person intends, and deleting that content and/or blocking those users. I left Reddit for that reason, and it's perfectly consistent to dislike what others post here on voat when they assert that their preferences are objective.
In my experience, no one rational actually cares to prevent you from doing what you prefer so long as you aren't forcing it on other people. I'm not going to stop you from saying things which I think are rationally inconsistent, but if I choose not to listen and express why that doesn't mean i'm a schill.
I'm not leaving voat because of racism or anything else. But someone, somewhere else on voat posted google search results - and well, they're about racism only. And you know what? This isn't something i want to be labeled with. It's not about being SJW. It's about first look. Let me give you an example - library. Library is place where you can borrow and read all the books you want, right? Place for people to study. For people who want to have knowledge. Okey. Now image that when you're entering library there's only "how to kill black man in 34 ways", "how to easy rape girls", "how to burn someone face". Cool place, huh? When you start reading the comments in these complaint threads you see the real goats expressing how such and such is silly and just move on. I have considered leaving from the racism. The fatpeoplehate exodus wasn't bad because they kept themselves to their own sub. I blocked them as soon as they came up and we both went about our separate ways. The /r/nigger and /r/coontown exodus tho, they didn't contain themselves to their own subs. Ever since their exodus /v/news, /v/videos and many others are full of racist posts that are quickly upvoted by the others from these racist subs. It's annoying and its seeping into more and more subs.
Not to mention the following exodus placed all of them here and now they make up more of the population here than they did on reddit so their posts are constantly receiving upvotes straight to the top.

Divide and conquer. By using sock puppets and making it appear as if a site is racist, and getting real people mad or upset, it fractures any hope of unity or stops the search for what'w really going on. To be harsh and derogatory can be a weapon.

I question what people think they are going to accomplish by being openly bigoted racists if their cause is to bring to light that certain groups of people have genetic shortcomings or neurological predispositions for crime, etc. Sounds counterproductive to me if your goal is to have your views taken seriously by everyone else.
The way I see it, if the information is legit, then it can be presented out in the open in a more auditorially palatable format without all the intolerant hateful language where the public is free to scrutinize it themselves.

But what I am seeing most, is people agreeing that they cannot take the BLM movement seriously if they refuse to address black-on-black crime. They agree that the militarization of the police needs to stop. They sympathize with the reasons behind the anger, but as long as the BLM movement keeps acting like a bunch whiney idiots, they're on their own to be used by Soros and others who want to maintain the status quo in this country.

I have considered leaving from the racism. The fatpeoplehate exodus wasn't bad because they kept themselves to their own sub. I blocked them as soon as they came up and we both went about our separate ways. The /r/nigger and /r/coontown exodus tho, they didn't contain themselves to their own subs. Ever since their exodus /v/news, /v/videos and many others are full of racist posts that are quickly upvoted by the others from these racist subs. It's annoying and its seeping into more and more subs.
Not to mention the following exodus placed all of them here and now they make up more of the population here than they did on reddit so their posts are constantly receiving upvotes straight to the top.
