It is not freedom or anonymity. It's barely pseudonymity to strangers. "They" have everything.
It was created and released quite suddenly, got so much hype that it didn't deserve, and not only survived but is thriving like never before. All coded by a pseudonymous "Satoshi".
Double Hegelian Dialectic. 1 Problem, 2 Problem-solution, 3 final solution. 1 Fiat, 2 global cashless society so many hate, 3 "Secure" and "anonymous"-sounding crypto. Funneled right into their plan.
The blockchain is a PUBLIC ledger stored in millions of copies across a decentralized network, consisting of ALL transactions. Ever. And "They" have the computing power and AI software to unravel it -- you don't. You think your real IP, MAC, or other address isn't siphoned out and tied to every BTC wallet that they can later reference? They own the infrastructure all data is built upon. You cannot use it without their consent, control, and surveillance.
They can manipulate its value more easily even than the stock market, which they already fiddle with. Not so much as you think -- that isn't necessary. Think "Office Space". They own the computers the sales run on, and a fraction of a millisecond now can shave every coin that passes through -- on both ends. Multiple times. Only a gentle ripple need be present if you can collect energy from the whole pond.
It isn't even pseudonymous. Every transaction, every text message, every BB post, every voice call, every email - it all runs over their computer backbones.. and you think they can't control network consensus? That they can't simply inject MITM attack anywhere they please?
And BTW, you think the "dark web" isn't simply running on top of their same backbone? That they don't have the ability to decrypt in realtime what THEY wrote the encryption algorithms for? You think encryption really matters if they're the ones you're trying to hide from?
Gizurr ago
So, you've described the problem.
What is the solution?

Absolute truth. The people who dont like what youve said, are probably the same kikes im putting on a list for being anti american subversive kikes. They tend to be popular people around here inserting their retarded and manipulative asinine opinions in an attempt to use their unearned popularity to influence people.

Crypto is anonymous. What will stop them from taking away all your crypto?
wrathfulmomes ago
Wrong! And that's a dangerous false sense of security!
Read what I wrote. it is NOT anonymous. It is //at best// pseudonymous.
It is NOT anonymous. The blockchain is PUBLIC. PUBLIC. That's what the blockchain is. That's the very foundation of how it WORKS, lol. It works by virtue of network consensus of public transaction records. JFC... Do you believe Antifa is anti-fascist too? That the ADL is against defamation? That the patriot act is patriotic?

Lol you have misrepresented Crypto majority.
I honestly can’t tell if you are a shill or just ignorant.
If we use crypto then the control systems put in place will fail.
OP seems to be pushing elitist agenda.
mfquesodindunuffin ago
You know there's a lot more cryptocoins out ther besides BTC, and many of them aren't meant to be used as "currency".
hoo ago
I've thought this before, but I doubt it. Bitcoin solved a real problem: it makes digital money actually possible. It's not anonymous, but Monero is. Truly anonymous crypto is possible, and in use today.
I can't know how knowledgable you are of cryptography. I will say that you're right to question everything, including security. However, cryptography is not a secret magic that you can't understand. Regardless, it's not the cryptography behind Bitcoin that anonymises users. It's the names, addresses, IP addresses, etc. like you point out. These are criticisms of the global internet backbone systen, and the encryption used to secure that data...Not cryptocurrency.
Hoard gold. Hoard ammo. Hoard Monero.
glennvtx ago
Crypto is the future, get over it. Better than the system we have, and can be anonymized. You can adopt the government's systems, that they fully control, or crypto, which no one controls. There are ways to prevent being identified also, ising whirlpool, etc. They are unable to trace btc that passes through several coinmix services.
u_r_wat_u_eat ago
You can't get more anonymous than cash.
It's untraceable. Crypto is the exact opposite.
glennvtx ago
There are ways to prevent the tracking of crypto, It must pass into the hands of a service to launder it, which costs. IF you read some of the court cases, there are plenty of times it was traced, But also was unable to be traced due to this coin mixing. "samurai wallet" has this built in, for example, for BTC.
Amerikaner ago
Exactly, what ever happened with that $800 billion data processing center obama built in Utah? It’s recording everything.
Crypto is truly worthless. The supporters say, it has value because it is unique, wrong. What’s stopping someone from creating an identical crypto to bitcoin, then calling it bitcoin 2? What’s stopping that from happening an infinite number of times making every version, and bitcoin, worthless? Nothing. Why the fuck are the bitcoin transaction fees so high, and why is it almost impossible to transact bitcoin anonymously?
You’re spot on, it’s a gateway to a fed crypto.
Kick_Start ago
Compared to what? It’s not perfect, but it’s better than the USD system. It’s better than gold. So what are you comparing it to?
9C5F0DBCBA49 ago
Well, good news: if they can decrypt everything it's not hurting anything to encrypt everything anyway. At least they have to use resources to decrypt stuff before analyzing it instead of having direct access to the plaintext.
Kick_Start ago
Powerful forces might be able to command lots of hashrate, but so can other powerful forces like China or Russia. No other system offers that kind of balance.

Compared to what? When the electricity goes out, most forms of USD payment also go out.

could easily create a way to exchange crypto off the grid using cell phones and direct links. will have solar chargers etc. jews control it all right now lets at least attempt to break free of the middle man kikes!

Paper wallets are a thing

every science fiction book ive ever read has something like crypto used in the future. it at least removes the middle man and takes absolute control of money out of the jews hands! whats our next option carry giant sacks of silver and gold?

In 2016 crypto jumped in price over some regulatory hurdles that were removed. Reading about that the day after I decided to toss in some pocket change and play a little with crypto. I tripled my initial investment and then pulled out my profits leaving my initial investment in the game.
It was during this time that I tried to use crypt to buy things. Here's what I ran into: Because of the increased demand at the time the payment processors were overloaded with the traffic. Transactions would take up to a week to process and the transaction fees were approaching €10 per transaction. So, if I wanted to buy a soda I would pay €1.40 in crypt, the vendor would have to wait a week to receive payment and then I'd have to pay €10 for the transaction on top of the €1.40. To add insult to injury the payment processors would immediately take your your payment, hold onto it for that week and it if went up 10% would keep the profit for themselves.
The fall out from this was that many merchants stopped accepting crypto. Many users stopped using it.
What I have come away with from that experience is that crypto is a scam. It was touted to be a currency. Under the slightest duress it ceases to function as a currency. So, if it can't fulfill it's basic function as a currency then what is crypto? It's a scam, a ponzi scheme. Can you make money from it? Sure. You absolutely can if you are able to time the obvious market manipulations correctly. Good luck with that though, because those market manipulations appear to have the involvement of government regulators worldwide giving hope one day by eliminating regulatory hurdles and putting up news ones weeks afterwards.
Aj2 ago
I am a crypto nerd. I agree 100% - what better way to tax your ass? to see every transaction on a public ledger.
All they need to do is to tie that address to you.
wrathfulmomes ago
Done and done. Why do you think every device has firmware/bios and even some hardware tracking built in since 2008?
Why do you think even Binance was required to force KYC and makes US citizens register with ID? Taxes. Money.
Empire_of_the_mind ago
Learn something about currency and money sometime.
prairie ago
Exactly. Federal Reserve Notes and crypto are currencies. Gold and silver are money.
wrathfulmomes ago
LMAO.
Gold is just another fiat. It's a matter of how bad things get. First people might bail on digital and credit. Then paper fiat and fall back on metals. Then, when people realize the value of USEFUL things, your shiny metal won't buy any food, seeds, meat, fuel, or ammo.
Gold and silver are simply given value because it's agreed upon with trust, the same as fiat.
prairie ago
No agreement. Gold was valued before it was money. It has great characteristics for it and it scarce. It's held its value for thousands of years.
Regardless, do you have recommendations for a better store of value?
It's true, gold (and any money) is only useful on a longer time scale. If things degrade so that you are only planning for the next month, and have few to no people you can trade with, money isn't of much value. And absolutely, stock up on consumables and things to survive with. But there's only so much you can store away, and there is opportunity cost in holding too much prepping supplies (you're basically betting on civilization's ruin).
Empire_of_the_mind ago
for real, you can learn about currency and money and how all of that shit works by watching internet videos and studying some history. do it or else you'll listen to idiots like OP.
yewotm8 ago
I don't understand the implicit assumption that all rich people are somehow working together against the lower classes. It's true that big players have way more impact on prices, but why would you assume these people aren't just as scared or more of losing all of their wealth/ability to spend it? Modern leftism attacks whatever it can, it does not leave you be just because you are rich, unless you are putting that money towards your safety either literally or by virtue signaling. You dont really think Bezos believes all the shit the Washington Post puts out do you? He simply does it to keep the faggots off his back.

it is no secret that blockchain tech is being developed for all kinds of applications
ArielQflip ago
I read about it in the early days before the actual wallets appeared. I mined quite a bit, but never did anything with it. It all seemed so fake when I read about the theft couple years later. Then silk road went down. Seems a bust.
Sour ago
What a load of shit. Sure if they put enough time into trying to figure out some guys crypto funds they could with time figure it out. Monero was designed specifically for this. When the authorities busted silk road and other similar sites they accounted for all the cryptos less monero. The only alternative in precious metals and that obviously has its limits.
pshawman ago
Ugh fucking batteries, pedal a bike whatever.

Internet. Other people also need a device and the internet. The internet needs its own electricity. The internet needs its exchanges maintained and its own electricity. The entire infrastructure needed to maintain the system needed for crypto to work requires literal millions of people all around the world. Woops, international undersea internet cable is down, suddenly all the farms that is used to process transactions is inaccessible. Who's going to maintain your wireless towers for your wireless battery powered internet device? How many government agencies do they have to report to / have in their pocket?
pshawman ago
Crap. Bitcoin was simply the ingenious combination of cryptographic methods researched and created over the prior 30 years. It didn't happen suddenly at all. It had been attempted a decade prior and theorised long before that.
At its core its deflationary money that has no barrier to entry and can be used as an in between for a straight P2P transfer of wealth for whatever reason. Pretty big step up from what we have today.
You're seeing the downside of it being private. It could totally end corruption. With bitcoin (SV) trust rules. It changes the game. If someone cheats, all know, it's easily provable, reputation ruined.
wrathfulmomes ago
It isn't private. The block chain is a PUBLIC LEDGER. Please learn how it works before you repeated the same old misconceptions.
RoundWheel ago
At its core is a cashless society where they control everything, including you.

Compared to what? The cashless society that the bankers are soon bringing? What would be superior, something where you can’t transact with anyone outside of driving distance and you’re forced to physically carry your wealth around and risk getting robbed?

You might like Monero or Zcash.
totes_magotes ago
Sane, is that you? Did you finally come back the asylum?
dayofthehope ago
There is ZCASH and Monero for anonymity. People should use them more. Especially ZCASH. It's more advanced than Monero.
Sour ago
Zcash is a joke compared to monero and I've been invested in both. There's a reason why the dark net prefers monero over any other coin.
dayofthehope ago
Would you care to share what that reason is? Could it be that it's simply because they have more money invested in Monero?
Monero seems like a bunch of different stuff hooked up together using scripts. Zcash, on the other hand, is well thought out and can be more anonymous.
Sour ago
Monero is designed to be a privacy coin by default and uses its own protocol separate from Bitcoin to achieve this. It's more complicated and expensive to use but provides the best anonymity. Hardware wallets like ledger can't figure out how to fully integrate because of the different protocol. Anonymity in Zcash is optional and only a small percentage actually uses the privacy features, which would draw extra attention if you did use it. Zcash is more user friendly and can be fully integrated into hardware wallets because it uses a Bitcoin protocol.
dayofthehope ago
To have full access to all the anonymity and security features you need to run a full node of either Monero or Zcash. Zcash encourages people to use the anonymous z-addresses. They have had zcash give aways on twitter for people using zaddreses, just to encourage people to use them.
My research on this topic has led me to think that Zcash is well-thought out, whereas Monero is a bunch of different technologies hooked up together with a bunch of scripts. The people who have money invested in Monero and who control the Monero mining have been much more aggressive in getting their message out in the chans and social media. I have found that they are not fully honest, which has confirmed my point of view that Zcash is, in fact, the better technology.
It'd be in everyone's interest for Zcash to succeed.

I figured out years ago they created it, control it, manipulate it. That doesn't mean I can't make money off their ponzi scheme. Crypto is going to be huge whether you like it or not.
awildbanannaphone ago
As someone who works in finance the market is as much of a ponzi scheme... Look at tsla it's an actual joke
pshawman ago
Exactly international finance just projects its insecurities on all new tech systems. It's the ponzi, and lucky us we live at the end of it all.
Stubbabubba ago
I always thought that Bitcoin was started by people like us to avoid jews and try to create a money system they can't control.
JooB8 ago
That's because ((they)) marketed it that way.
Stubbabubba ago
I understand what you're saying but isn't there some way some tech savvy whites could make it secure enough for us to use as an alternative to kike banks?
JooB8 ago
They created the most popular cryptocurrencies. So we would still be limited by their restrictions and manipulated market movements. Ideally we would want to create our own crypto. The problem would be creating one that has widespread use, is secure, etc. They would attack and destroy it easily before it would get too big to fail.
Stubbabubba ago
That's what I meant, if we created our own. I think it's possible but it would have to have extensive development before being out out there. It would also need an amazing marketing scheme.
Simonbelmont27 ago
"They" is who? BTC mining is decentralized?
wrathfulmomes ago
Mining is not ownership. Mining is irrelevant to this context. Mined BTC is sold off for profit. It enters the big mixing pot of transactions, but most BTC is held by a few massive superwhales.
I wonder why.
Even if everything they purport about it is true, everything I said stands. You were warned.
Simonbelmont27 ago
Then who is "they"?
