we know better than to even try shit like this. We cut through everyone's bull all day long as individuals. They got it mixed up mental retardation and failed big time. I think the vaccine movement backfired on them massively.
Fill lighting is commonplace in outdoor shots. Lighting stands alone do not prove a green-screened soundstage.
We will never manage to "prove" anything if we discredit our collective intelligence by fumbling basic points. Get your shit together before you make an assertion.
Actually, natural lighting is preferred. If they wanted to do a shoot, assuming good, natural lighting was available, they would use what are basically mirrors to reflect the light. Normally handheld. This is true for movies and even smaller productions. One of the tidbits of this trick is that it diffuses the light, which means it's not likely to create hard reflections in things like glasses.
While it's not a slam dunk, it's very likely that the image is from a studio and not on location.
True its not a movie. But it is CNN and they certainly have the funds available.
By your logic, why did they even bring a camera? They could have just brought an iPhone and a Bluetooth microphone. 1080 video already taken care of.
And say it was a staged shooting, that means planning went into it right? Who's to say that they didn't plan on bringing extra lighting.
I'm not here to say if it was or was not faked, I'm just here to suggest that people think about the "conspiracy" and how it could easily be absolutely nothing.
Think like your enemy and you will find ways to beat them
While it is a possibility, I would figure that it is unlikely - portable stand-lights do not usually have the form-factor that the large ones in the reflection seem to have. The reflected scene also has large dark areas, which is more consistent with a studio setting than an open, day-lit location. There are other cues as well, such as the lighting on the backdrop.
We could nitpick details forever, but ain't nobody got time fo dat. IMHO, it does look like this is a studio shot.
I have to agree. News crews do it all the time for on-location shots. I'm sure they are forcing their narrative, but that photo is not proof that the subject was filmed in a studio.

That's some legitimate damning evidence right there

To be fair, it was a location.

You need light from all angles you get rid of shadows

i was referring to the school shooting being staged/faked.
Shooting was not meant to mean the Filming/Interviewing .

The first photo of the lighting in her glasses is interesting.

It's pretty standard to use LED fill panels in daylight. It gets rid of weird shadows like a big nose shadow across your cheek.
This doesn't prove anything either way, and unfortunately would be easy to debunk if she really was in the field and this meme got traction.
Islamiscancer ago
Why not? Do you know much about photography?
I do. The lights can/could have been used to fix bad shadows. Or to simply give them the light they need.
Lights in reflection aren't proof enough its shot on a green screen stage.

Perhaps they thought they might have to film in the shade and they simply wanted to be safe and bring cameras.
Likely is not the same as Definite. Still, hopefully its faked and something comes from it.

Meh, In broad daylight, I've found it's easier (on setup time, resources, investment) to just use a reflector.
however, agree that this proves nothing...
idoru ago
Agreed. I'll take cheap-assed reflector for $200. https://kek.gg/i/5wKFCv.jpeg
But more likely a more robust lighting rig because if you're making TV, you need lighting and all the rest of that shit. [/but you know][/whatever]
Oh_Well_ian ago
it's a fucking news spot... not a god damn $100million movie
the light in the reflection is surrounded by a dark void, not similar surroundings seen in the backdrop

yeah... explain the dark void around the lights in the reflection
that is what the meme is about

Are you implying that a news company couldn't possibly bring stand lights to help with their production values?
The reflection of lights in this persons glasses does not prove to any degree that this was faked.
Subtenko ago
Yea sometimes they bring a couple of lights
european ago
I was thinking that possibility. Is it usual to take lights out to interviews. Alternatively, the squares on the glasses could be photoshop ed.

I believe they do actually. I've seen them outside with extra lighting. However I think they only do it in highly prepped shoots.

Anyone can go watch any of her piss-poor performances and see that she is possibly one of the worst and most obvious crisis actors of all time.
Search for "Christine Leinonin."

Almost like a joke: Christ Lenin.
dellcos ago
Are you implying you believe anything you see on CNN until it is proven wrong? Should be other way around.
Islamiscancer ago
Not at all, I'm simply saying the reflection of lights in someone's glasses aren't proof enough that everything is faked.
I'm suggesting better evidence is needed.

No, this is Christine Leinonin from the Orlando Pulse shooting hoax.
There is also a video of her auditioning for Wheel of Fortune.
