My thoughts on liberty are that it doesn't actually exist, there is only power. If you have the power to do what you want, you have some "freedom/liberty". People in capitalist societies acquire power through cutthroat methods that often pay no regard to the greater good of their fellow man or their race. After all, you might not be able to compete effectively if you're the only one who gives a shit about other people.
Societies based on these enlightenment-era ideals like liberty or Republicanism end up highly materialistic and ruled by plutocracies. No matter how well intentioned it is or how "free" people appear to be at the beginning, they will inevitably fall to jewish influence because they're too weak and decentralized to resist jewish influence.
Only a strong fascist state is the solution to the problem of the inherent decaying effect societies based on democracy and republicanism and liberty end up experiencing. Fascism isn't inherently anti-freedom either, but it does restrict freedom based on the overall well-being of the nation and the people. Fascism is action-oriented: it sees a problem (jews and globalist control) and addresses it directly and swiftly. Liberty fails to stave off globalism, materialism, and zog because it lacks a core structure. It's more like a blank canvass, it prides itself on not having any strict rules or centralized authority. This just paves the way for the descent towards our current system.
I used to be libertarian as well, I believed that all we need is more freedom and less government and somehow that will be enough. But if that was really true, the US wouldn't be where it is right now. After the revolution, people were probably as pro-liberty as they could possibly get. Fair enough. My post presumed you were defending MetaCog's usage, which is pretty off-base. I would still argue that gaslighting is more commonly a pattern of behavior engaged by an abuser to an intended target. It's close to a psychology term, used to describe a pattern of psychological abuse. My thoughts are that gaslighting typically takes the form of knowingly contradicting a person's memory or thoughts about an event with intent to cause them mental harm. I will emphasize that this definition mostly concerns events-- things that objectively happened in reality.
So while it might apply to something like the media reporting about "peaceful protests", it seems inappropriate to apply it to less concrete topics-- for instance, propaganda espousing the virtues of communism that addresses no specific examples.
