Plot twist, this backfires because of chaos theory - everyone has a different idea of karma so it just punishes everyone equally and the world goes immediately to hell.
I define karma as having an instant result - cause and effect - every time you interact with another person. So if you are kind and helpful you get this reaction. If you are violent or rude that is the payback to you. Positive reinforcement.
Well, if I'm freakin' GOD I can make it mean what I damned well please! Or I could just take away all this silly free-will bullshit and watch the ant farm.
What I mean is, just because you have God's powers does not mean you have God's wisdom. That's why those monkey-paw three wishes folk stories always end up so unexpected.
It's easy for me to say I could just tug the sun closer to the earth, but without understanding how that will effect the rest of the cosmos the end-result will likely be quite spectacularly chaotic.
Yeah, I get it. I was just trying to think of a way that I didn't have to flood everyone out and start over again. That plan didn't work to well the first time. For this mental exercise I choose to be a god that has control over all the input and outcome and everyone lives happily ever after - Amen.

Instant karma. For those who still don't learn to treat others as they themselves want to be treated, instant painless removal.

You're making a bold assumption that you're the one defining "kind" and "helpful".
