Also, I guess I should point out the obvious that the VOAT logo involves the proper and inverted triangles that make up both the Star of David (and thus the Saturn hexagon) and the Masonic "As Above, So Below" shapes. Power pyramid symbology, Goat = Satan, etc etc.
To me, that's way overthinking it. I really believe it was a simple case of, 'Let's change our site name to reflect the voting aspect. Let's call it Voat. Cool. What logo should we have? Something that rhymes with Voat. A goat! What should it look like? Let's use our up and downvoat buttons as its horns? Perfect!'
OK, a goat so happens to be the symbol of Baphomet but it doesn't necessarily follow that our goat has anything to do with the occult.
