Has anyone attended, been a part of, or come across what the article refers to as Progressive Christianity?
I ask because I want to know how they interpret the Bible. Obviously there are teachings and directions in the Bible that are against homosexuality, promiscuous sexual activity, tattoos, etc. I understand in a typical Christian church, these things are viewed as sins and that you try your darndest to turn away from such things, but it seems from the article that these progressive christian churches celebrate those things? How does that work out?

Thanks for the reply. The 16 scriptures mentioned in the Wikipedia article point out the reasoning, mostly that they don't appear in the authors oldest known writing, but instead show up in the Greek versions.
The second link you provided though, shows that there are much more verses being removed, especially so with the NASV. I will look for more information on what is going on in those cases, but do you have any resources that document different translations, their verse removals, and perhaps why the decision was made? Again, thanks for the reply. I honestly didn't know the NKJ, NIV, and NASV had these omissions.
The modern Episcopalian churcg is pretty much "progressive Christianity." They have actual Jews, trannies, and faggots as "priests." They try to biblically justify their beliefs the same way Congress tries to constitutionally justify their legislation: they don't.
