So, when was the last time you had a Flat-earther, high on his own confirmation bias and lack of knowledge of science, send you a youtube video of random bullshit designed to trigger an otherwise intelligent autist, and ask you to play the "calmly explain science to an idiot that thinks he's right" dance? Today was mine.
As someone that advocates that stupidity should indeed be painful, I'm very tempted to set up a contract for retards (Flat Earthers are a mere particularly annoying example) that want me to explain basic science to them: Every accurate explanation I give to a youtube video is tacit authorization to engage in 5 minutes of active combat with no pads or rules of engagement in exchange for the work I'm doing.
The reason being is that if you can't appeal to their (lack of) intellect, you can at least depend on any base animals's "pressure and release of pressure" mindset to kick-in after one or two good five-minute street fights where they've broken a bone or lost at least a tooth in order to counter-act the confirmation bias these videos prey on. Plus, I'd have a lot of fun watching someone stupid enjoy some physical pain as a response to their stupid, AND it would stop people from smugly repeating shit without doing a cursory google/duckduckgo/searx on the questions asked. So it might even be a win-win for everyone in society.
Would anyone be interested in such a contract template?
