Sorry, no fez and no moustache here, but yes, I was born in Bosnia, I was 9 when the war started, survived 4 years in a city under siege (Gorazde). Read "safe area Gorazde" from Joe Sacco (I met him, btw) for more info.
Yeah we had kids from Yugoslavia at my (Canadian) high school during the war. I remember hearing a recording of the Nato jets someone made for some reason. Basically whenever there's a war somewhere, they send all the kids to Canada. Bunch of quiters we're becoming.
