What has been the general response when ever Voat has experienced a wave of new users? Tends to be a front page full of every nigger-faggot-kike derivative imaginable. This has been Voats hazing ritual and immune response for years. It has generally been effective in keeping the folks who would one day want to censor the site from gaining ground. That will soon be gone. It effectively is censoring, as not just anyone gets to see the actual Voat, only those who put on their special They Live glasses get to see it. This site, to my knowledge, has not been considered a safe for work destination for most of it's existence. To act as if it is, or should be, is no less than an affront to all of Voats history.

I would compare it to pornhub defaulting to only cat videos until you log in and check the show me porn button. Voat shouldn't have a show me free speech button. It should have a don't show me free speech button, and it shouldn't be default on.
